So the bottom line here is,Orcc and Bobbler, you like it or not, WoW WAS a big MMORPG, now we are NOT f**king asking for your opinion of the game, when it breaks the record of 500k accounts and such after the first while and WoW was deemed the most growing MMORPG of all time, that IS revolutionary. It was YOU who decided to be a smartass because you knew what he meant.

Im thinking about getting Planet side but I have some questions.

1. Are there enough people that play this to have gigantic 500+ people fights (exaggeration but please specify how many people)

This topic is about two different things.

1/ We will never get along, no matter what we do people, all of the MMORPG'ers in the world will never agree on one game being the best, I can say Guild Wars sucks (it has the highest rating on the site) and 1.42342523 million and 47/345 people will come and tell me the opposite and why, and the persons feelings will remain the same... Thats why we just say "I dont like Guild Wars"

Now on to the real topic

2/ Is there such thing as an MMOFPS? That sounds really cool, if any of you have played Counter-Strike, my vision of a real MMOFPS is a gigantic game of Counter-Strike with a gigantic world and lots of people!!!
What I like about this is that there isnt really a level system, the only competition here is skill, not level.
I heard about the Huxley game and that sounds awsome because I cant find an MMORPG to fit my needs so im stuck with CS which Ive been addicted to before Steam came out, anyways CS=FPS and I like= MMORPG, so I lose half of this MMORPG to get just MMO and MMO + FPS=MMOFPS= t3H ub3R c$

It just sounds like fun guys, anyone agree, or know of any that are currently out?

TA was most definately my best experince, when my dad first bought a computer in like 1998, i was 8 years old and the computer came with a game called Total Annihilation, I played i, ive been hooked to it for 6 years...

I love it, you can make/downlaod units and create them and use them in battle i just think its really cool.
Anyways

My dad is a heavy AOE fan he plays whenever he can, I guess he likes the way it works. I bought AoM because of my natural love for mythology and loved it but my dad didnt so hopefully AOE III will impress him unlike AoM. Also, EE, my brother bought, my dad turned that down also so I think thereis something about AoE that he likes (probably that fact that farms arent infinite )

Anyways I am also looking forward to AoE III the graphics look astounding, and when it comes to Warcraft III I only didnt scenarios on there, it was fun :-)

For the one who told me Planetside, Ill give that a try.
The one who told me to wait for Roma Victor, Ill do that too, and about EVE online I didnt get the combat system very good but ill try it again if you insist.
The one who said Kal Online, oh my god. I swear to you that looks like a Gunbound Team made game, if you compare the two sites the only differense is the color and pictures, they use the same font and website layout its wierd, looks sort of like PristonTal but ill try it.
I didnt llook at the one you said wasnt 3D but I will.
AC2...I played that game and I didnt like the missions, I mean they are acceptable but it doesnt seem any of it is group based, but its been a long time.

Alright guys, lets get real.
Teenagers in high school need something to do over the summer when there is bad weather, I mean sure Im gonna have a job, go to camp for a week, and study my precal and algebra 2 but Ive run out of games here.

Games and how much time I have spent playing them in a matter of hours played like in WoW /played.

WoW- /played= 7 days
SWG-dont know but i played it for maybe a month not keeping track of hours, and this was like come after school and play an hour or two every day for a week or two.
PristonTale- loved this game with all my heart when it was fully FREE, I would say ive played it 2 weeks in a matter of # of hours played.
Conquer - hated it
Knight Online- Liked it for a while but quit after a week
Ragnarok- I played this a long time ago for a while it was fun.
CoH- I was subscribed all of last summer, then I realized a 14 year old cannot function without sleep.
Project Entropia- I loved the concept of the game but then I realized the whole game was based on farming-then going to mining-then going to hunting-the going to getting your ass whooped by some a-hole at the oil rig. Played it on and off for a year (not in a number of hours)
Lineage II- Played that for 2 weeks, didnt like grinding the wolves and orcs :-(

Tested-
Astonia III- It was 2D, not really a fan of old fashion MMORPGS.
UO- Just like Astonia II, dont like 2D.
Guild Wars- Didnt like the skill system or the pain in the ass it was to find groups for everything. Couple hours.
Face of Mankind- I would give that another try after maybe a year, I couldnt get out of my damn apartment the first time i logged on, I didnt like the mission system either because it was just released so there were no missions :P. Couple minutes...
EQ2- Lagged horribly for me, didnt really catch my eye but I liked the crafting system. Tested it for however long the trial period was.
EVE Online- I never gave it a good chance because I had finals, 14 day subscription I played 3 of those days and mined and explored and did missions those 3 days.
Saga of Ryzom- This was ok but it sort of lagged and you had to sit there and grind level 1 monsters til you get to 5 and then go gring level 5 monsters til level 10. I gave it an hour maybe two.
Helbreth- I played that a really long time ago like 3 years ago.

Guys help me out here, Im ending up playing Counter-Strike or gunbound.
The only game that catches my eye currently is the Grenada Esperada thing, that looks neat.
But for now ill stick with the freebies like PT or KO.

Im gonna get this game so i could use a key. That is if they are still availible!

Im thinking about getting this title but i would really like to see some true to god in-game screenies, that show the interface and everything like a typical MMORPG you will see your life and mana and XP somewhere.

Thanks everyone. The guy who suggested music, way ahead of you man other hobbies i have are skateboarding, i do a little guitar and i like to shoot.
I prolly ought to buckle up and start crackin in highschool need to make a comeback in my sophomore year.
besides that i guess i will stay loyal to WoW for a bit, ill pass on Guild Wars until a couble big updates, an opinion id like is a Yay or Nay on EQ2.

Hey, I am 14 years old at a respectable highschool (youll see why all this is important later)
I have been playing MMORPGs for a couple years now tried about everything. DAoC, CoH, SWG, L2, and currently playing WoW.
Ive played free ones like Runescape, Priston Tale (when it was free), conquer online, knight online.

And these are the major ones, but my point.

I cant really find a game that meets my exact expectations and usually thats what causes me to lose intrest after a while, you know i wonder about how all these people invest 6000+ hours in DAoC (one guy did this at EB Games) I mean, the only game i have spent alot of time playing is D2, and WoW would probably be my second if it ran a little better on my computer

But anyways Im looking for a game with graphics of Lineage 2 and it looks like Guild wars will have this type. Its sort of a cloudy texture like you were in a dream and it really really impressed me when i played L2 before Chronicle one came out (hah yes its been that long) but the reason i dont go back to it is because im hearing of all this adena farming bulls**t going on in-game and all the pkers. that was one of the reasons i quit.

i want the fun of WoW the multiple quests, monsters, nice item classification color coding it to know whats good and whats not

and i want the complexity of DAoC, i played that game and there were all the classes and everythign it was nice, but the graphics, early level grinding and similar monster thing were really bad in my opinion.

i want RvR!!!

i dont know my expectations sound sort of high but can anyone point me in the right direction? please dont reply angrily nothing was intended to be mean

Yeah there is an article somewhere saying WoW stopped making copies to start stability to the server, too many people.
