Hmm, would Lineage III fall into this category?  I would also think B&S would fall into this, but they just recently announced.

I'm curious to see how this affects their future games.

I don't think lineage 3 is developed by the austin studios.

this game would actually be enjoyable if it wasn't for those bots...or that many bots anyway ...but they don't seem to realise that

Ok ..what is KotOR...it's an RPG...what MMORPG stands for?...Massively multiplayer online RPG so they are not that different ..and as long as it works to open doors i can't see why it couldn't work to loot some rare stuff from a wreck or a dead bot or something..they can say it's wired:D

Not to say that SWG is a disaster or something but since puzzles worked on KotOR and i really liked them dunno why they can't work here...I'm waiting for SGW too..and hope there will be at least a few puzzles like those from KotOR

...no...I was saying i get the need to hype but that doesn't mean they need to make any crap as a news. It was ok as a news on their forums but not here.

I'm really waiting for this game, good hype is never a bad thing, and i don't have anything against spanish ppl...but for crying out loud....if they keep it this way will see that Joe Ybarra from SGW ate something for the first time becomes a news...or mmo editors should watch what they chose for the news. I would have got it if it was 10k spanish users on their forums or something...but not this....

If you are bored with the MMOG then the MMOG sucks. No mini game will change that. The point of playing a MMOG is because you enjoy it. Adding a separate mini game within the MMOG because some aspect of the MMOG in question is boring is a retarded way for the developer to enhance the MMOG.

dont get offended but you replied just for the sake of replying. Anyone knows that in any mmo no matter how much you like it there are a few moments when you are bored...especially at the end lvls..or just having a bad day. You just sit around chatting and wantig to do something but you are not in the mood for farming, raiding or other staff like that...or when trying to sell something fast coz you lack the money for something. I think this happened to almost all of us more then a few times. Those minigames might come in handy in those moments

I don't have anything against the game... actually i like that they use cry engine 2, which is even more powerful then the unreal 3 one...and they seem to use it decently.....but why is this game classified as Sci-Fi?  just coz the chars seem to use some kinda of post apocalyptic ancient design armors? :D or maybe the devs are are anticipating that by the time of release the ppl will be even more sick of fantasy then they are now...since apparently   its becoming a trend now....so they just decided to label it sci-fi

They can add some old games like asteroids, tetris with an highscore...there will always be nut jobs spending our playing those instead of the actual game, trying to be god knows what highscore:)))

That's a rather pessimistic stand you're taking. Sure, they may promise the moon and the stars, but sooner or later someone has to deliver them. What's stopping SGW from doing just that?

Tbh I'd love to be wrong about this one especially since this one is the only game I'm waiting for (if we're not counting Earthrise coz, well, that one is too far from even beta). But 7 years of mmos  made me not believe in what every dev says about their products, and that if you're not careful with this types of games your social life might suffer =)). Or maybe it's just me having weird tastes in mmo and can't stand the depth of many "top" mmos. Eve has it but at least for me that game is too boooring. Or you could just take it...if it's too good to be trough probably isn't :)

From what I've saw on the EU sites its a 5 day trial...about the sinking ship it might it might not. It's true the trial is too short  but the way they distribute them isn't so bad. If you could get one by just going on their homepage they wouldn't  be on the homepage of many mmo sites now, would they?:) it's just good marketing.

lag... i see some ppl complaining about lag...dunno but my avg ping is about 15-25ms. During Easter i was at my parents house...totally different ISP avg ping 30-35...and i' nowhere near Germany where i think the EU server is hosted. Only lag i had think it was a week ago on a saturday afternoon...had a few lag spikes for about 3-5 mins...and that was it in about 1.5 months of TR> I'm not saying that it's your ISP directly because I'm pretty sure it isn't , but it might be your IPS' peering with the ISP that provides access to the game server

well i haven't read all the posts but...tbh i thought of the same thing when i started TR. Seeing all the "its crap" posts didn't know what to do...but since i was "mmoless" i decided to give it a try especially sine I'm really tired of all the fantasy games...that's the only reason i don't even plan to touch AoC for now. Well i liked the game from since i started playing it...and still do it. Don't care what everyone says i like that game. Yes it has lots and lots of cons but i like it. Truth being told they do move slowly but they moving in a good direction...if you don't count the occasional class "balancing" but tell me a mmo that doesn't do that... As for the all for the all saying "this game is doomed" i seriously doubt that...maybe they will go f2p..but probably not. Servers are doing fine (at least the EU one) and I've seen much more activity then in many others p2p games...at least for now.Heck if there would be many more it would kinda start sucking. I might be wrong, only time will tell that, anyway I like TR and probably will keep me till the beta on SGW starts...maybe even more if they add the "right" end game content. L.E.: Why the heck everybody says this is an RPG/FPS hybrid ...not only FPS games have a cross and a "break your mouse" to shoot enemies...lots of Action games have it...if anything TR is more of an RPG/Action game hybrid then RPG/FPS

the results of teh research may vary depending on who "orders" it...seeing runescape it's so high many ppl are tempted to try it out after reading the news...tho they had to leave wow ahead else would have been too obvious:))

Funcom has done this in the past with Anarchy Online also.

It's in their business model, to charge the same for EU and US.

In Anarchy Online the first major uproar was when they said, that it's the same + VAT. And that you can't subscribe as an American, cause they will check for the nationality on your bankcard.

I think it will be the same with Age of Conan, plus that they check for your IP to which server to connect. Someone suggested buying the game in the US, paying in dollars and playing in Europe. He would be screwed, cause he won't be able to connect, and would still pay monthly with EU prices.

I'm a Hungarian. I have Forints (that is a currency that sucks big time). So even if I pay in dollars or in Euro I will get exchange rates. Plus we have to pay 20% VAT.

So it would be perfect for me to have AoC shipped to an american pal, who posts it me. But FC would still charge me the EU price.

For AO you can "trick" the payment system to pay in $ with an EU debit card...there are  a few things to be done but nothing special..no proxys no nothing. You dont even pay the VAT when you pay in $ which makes the difference even larger when compairing 15$  to 15€ +19% (VAT in my country). Tbh i wouldn't mind paying the VAT and all the other taxes that apply in my country (not that there are any other, but just saying if there would be), but i do mind paying more for the same freaking game (VAT excluded).I have 2 paid accounts, 1 has over 2 years and havent had a problem for paying in $. Besides that most of the games dont have a version for our country so i play the same freakin english version..so why pay more. The part that sucks the most is altho my country is an EU member our nattional currency isn't € so why force me to pay in that ...and this is for the most games that dont have the AoC pollicy for everyone  outside US (or UK) to pay in €.

Anyway i'm not planning to play AoC atm since i dont like the theme...but if ill start playing it im sure ill find a way to pay in $,maybe you will be able to buy the us version and play on the EU servers...that would be even better...that if it wont be a "babilon" on the general chat:))

key sent to Auxil

@Obliviator you can't sned a key in an inbox...you have to add user's email on the account page of the game (playNC). I don't actually see the game..they send it to the specified mail...
