To be fair, I don't really subscribe to any Newspaper or Magazine either. I'll read whatever one crosses my path, but most my news comes from the AP on the internet, or television news/Radio. With that being said, I think Palin is an airhead. If I was involved in politics or especially a Governor and Vice Presidential candidate I'd subscribe to a least a few national papers. |

I just don't think Iran is as tightly controlled as North Korea or some of those African Countries are. I think the government has a tighter hold on the people than China has, but because the country doesn't face the extreme poverty and population control issues China does it is a lot less stable and can much more easily fall. Basically, I'm saying that Iran is not the country to worry about in the next decade or two. I'm much more concerned with North Korea right now, or possibly Pakistan. The one way Iran will become a threat is if we or Israel make it one. I doubt anyone is that stupid. Israel would strike-out if they felt they were in danger, but being that they are so close to Iran, they are not looking for a fight. |

It means she has to show up, not pass out, not cry, and they might call this thing a tie. You must close your eyes and hum during the boring parts of the news huh? If there aren't explosions or car chases it's all a blur right? Don't worry, you aren't alone. |

The religious leadership is fanatical, and Ahmadinejad is an idiot... but the people of Iran including most any of them born post mid-80s are not very fanatical. Already restrictions are relaxing and Iran is turning around. As long as we don't beat on the hornet's nest and stir everyone up against us or Israel(more so that is) they will modernize themselves. A good President would recognize this fact and encourage it in smaller steps than we took the last time we tried to shape Iran. |

I don't see it happening. This is a different world. We will see a few more sparks like the recent Russia-Georgia conflict, and Africa is pure chaos, but I don't see this going anywhere. Iran wasn't ready for western influences in the 70s and 80s, but I think it is now. I expect Iran to mellow. I also think Obama will do an excellent job to make this happen. |

How could you not agree with the list? I think Andrew Jackson was a major asshole and is probably rotting in hell, but he was certainly a badass. |

Ifill is pretty vanilla and I don't see her doing anything but her job. I can't see Hannity playing this straight even if he promised over and over he would. Ifill might want Obama to win as much as Hannity wants McCain to win, but if she wasn't a professional she would never have been up for the job. I don't have a problem with Ifill not being the moderator, I just don't like the mock outrage and obvious setup for damage control. "Gotcha Question" has got to be the one of the worst phrases to come out of this campaign. It even trumps "Thrown under the bus".
Oh, and two things to add. This secret book the McCain camp didn't know about.... the one announced in July... is listed on Amazon.com with this description:
The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama Product Description In THE BREAKTHROUGH, veteran journalist Gwen Ifill surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power. Ifill argues that the Black political structure formed during the Civil Rights movement is giving way to a generation of men and women who are the direct beneficiaries of the struggles of the 1960s. She offers incisive, detailed profiles of such prominent leaders as Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and U.S. Congressman Artur Davis of Alabama, and also covers up-and-coming figures from across the nation. Drawing on interviews with power brokers like Senator Obama, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Vernon Jordan, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, and many others, as well as her own razor-sharp observations and analysis of such issues as generational conflict and the "black enough" conundrum, Ifill shows why this is a pivotal moment in American history. THE BREAKTHROUGH is a remarkable look at contemporary politics and an essential foundation for understanding the future of American democracy.
Yeah.... its about African Americans in politics. Obama is currently ahead in a presidential campaign. I think it just makes sense she uses his name in the title instead of Jesse Jackson. The second thing.... she moderated the 04 Cheney/Edwards debate. I don't remember any outrage back then before or after the debate. In fact, I believe Cheney is considered to have had the edge in that debate. |

I watched the entire SG-1 Series on DVD and finished it up after Atlantis Season 3 wrapped up. Then I started watching the Atlantis DvDs.There was one episode in season 8(or maybe 9) of SG-1 where they visit Atlantis but I had absolutely nothing ruined for me. Or, actually that isn't true..... After I started getting the Atlantis episodes on on DVD at Netflix I made the mistake of reading some of the member reviews. The bastards like to lay down the spoilers. I suggest you keep things clean and finish up SG-1. If you absolutely want to follow the time-line, Season 8 of SG-1 and Season 1 of Atlantis start at the same time. |

Oh, and same goes for almost all desserts including cake, pie, brownies, and cobbler. I even throw twinkies and candy bars in the freezer before eating them. |

I'd like to see her excuse herself just so the McCain campaign can't play this card. Normally I'd say the questions will speak for themselves, but I am well aware that the lady could ask nothing but straight-forward questions all night and they would try to spin this as biased. It's funny how this exploded on all the Right-Wing Radio shows today. Church, Hannity, O'Reilly, Wilkow, and probably Limbaugh. They were going over this at least 3 or 4 times an hour. It is so transparent. Hannity was making the case that she probably wouldn't mention Wright, or Farrakhan, or Ayers. I sure as hell hope she doesn't mention these. Not only because this is Biden/Palin and not Obama/Palin but because the debates are about the issues not about the the damn lipstick on a pig crap. We get that the other 95% of the time including even the conventions. I have not doubt this uproar is pure calculated bullshit, but I have no problem if they swapped her out for someone the Republicans can't whine about. I'd even feel comfortable with Brit Hume as long as he left out the non-issues. |

It doesn't look very good at all. Better than the craptacular Epic/Date/Disaster movies, but probably not much better than Superhero Movie and such. What I find kind of interesting is that they are selling this as a Republican biased comedy, but all the gags that are supposed to sell it as conservative humor all sound like they would offend more conservatives than they would entertain. I might buy it on PPV but my theater trips are reserved for epics, blockbusters, or period pieces. |

No one truely favors bigger government and "liberal" spending on either side. It is naive to try to hang those on one particular candidate. However, there is always room for government over-sight. Why the hell else would we need a government? There are extremes to both sides. On one side you have pure Communism. Not the Pencil and Paper kind, but the Stalin and Kim Jong Il kind. On the other side you have what our future is shaping up to be, which is a country run purely by corporations and CEOs. Right now we have a country run "like" a Corporation, and so the next step is pretty obvious. McCain certainly steers us away from Communism, and I think he'll take a few steps back from the other end of the spectrum that 8 years of Bush and Cheney have gotten us to, but I strongly believe Obama will take us back to the middle. If you find yourself way right of center you need a candidate who leans left, not one that can go either way. If we ever find ourselves as close to communism as we are now to Corporate Government I would probably vote Conservative. Unforunately, people are so dead-set in their ways that they won't reverse direction even if they are heading for the edge of a cliff. |

I'm going change the topic to "do" instead if "wear" so I can participate. I just like to find and watch a horror movie that I have never seen before. Then leading up to Halloween I like watch childhood favorites like Hocus Pocus and Garfield Halloween. Also enjoy catching a few of the better Halloween Movies(1 and 2 basically). In the end though, Halloween is more about the season than the holiday. I just like to soak up the atmosphere, smell the pumpkins, and eat some P-Seeds. Now I'm psyched. |

"Like McCain said he wanted to stay in Iraq for 100 years. Obama has lied much more than McCain or Palin, and has gotten a pass from the media. The biggest lie was that he is change, that he is something different, something new, when he is really just more of the same." -Fishermage
Oh, I didn't know that Bush was as liberal as "The Most Liberal Senator in Washington". Stupid me, I had Bush pegged as a Conservative(and a Neo-Conservative at that). Yup, your right, the most Liberal Senator will surely continue the same policies as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Do you read what you write? Are you serious? Let me guess, you were all about the "4 More Years" mantra in 04, but now you want change? Give me a break. You are just like some stupid woman that called into CSPAN after Obama's Democratic Convention speech as a supporter of McCain and said, with what sounded like 3 or 4 veins popping out on her head and neck: "If I hear the word change one more time my head will explode!!!!!". Wonder what she thought of the word "Change" after McCain's Convention. Can you say "Hyprocrite"? Can you say: "I am a big fat Hypocrite"? |
