Darcade - the Lord of Duncar - a hidden and mysterious kingdom far to the east. The Kingdom of Duncar was brutally attacked and destroyed by the undead armies of an entity known only as Blood. Barely escaping with his life, Darcade was forced to flee his dying kingdom. To the west he fled, along with his personal guard - The Hand of Darcade, to find a place in the world for himself and for those who followed him.
Hi, I created this guild based on a campaign setting I ran for D&D years ago. All types of players are welcome, from the hardcore to the casual. But in general, it will be a very casual atmosphere. I encourage roleplaying but it is not by any means required. I'm hoping to build this guild into something we can all have fun with. So please, if you want to join a friendly guild and just bought AoC, join us on Derketo. |

I really don't know why everyone hates SOE that much. half the games people complain about SOE didn't even develop. I will say SWG was ruined. Everquest 2 is a pretty amazing game. and The Agency just seems like the MMO i've been waiting for. I hope they succeed. |

Also, in Vanguard's defense. Brad McQuaid or someone high up in Sigil posted on their main website right before the game launched that they were out of money and had to release the game unfinished. They were very honest. So if you chose to buy the game after that, don't complain. I've been playing vanguard for free during the holiday period and its come a long way since launch. I'm actually enjoying it. |

To answer the poll question at the beginning. I wouldn't pay for Blizzard stock. They are owned by another company (Vinvendi, now called Activision Blizzard?) so all those 9 million x $15 subs aren't going into blizzards pockets. If they were independent, they would be wealthy beyond belief and probably have better customer service :) i personally don't play WoW because of a customer service "incident" i had with them. but that is for another thread. hehe |

I think there are a lot of reasons why WoW is not on any of the top 10 lists here. These are generalizations and not meant to apply to any 1 specific person and possibly don't even reflect my own opinions of the game.
1. Lots of people do not like what is the most popular just because it is the most popular. 2. What is the most popular is not always the "best". I remember when Myst was the number 1 selling game of all time. This is my opinion, but that game is terrible. Oscar winning movies aren't always the most popular. Grammy winning music isn't always the most popular. Popular does not equal quality. 3. Most WoW players, since there are so many, incorporate lots of people outside of the normal MMO crowd. I know tons of WoW players that know very little about other games. That being said, I doubt they know this site exists. In my opinion, people that post on these forums (any forums) are more "hardcore" than your average WoW gamer. I doubt many WoW players ever post on the official WoW forums. I'm sure i could list many more but i'm lazy :) |
