Clerics solo very very very slow. Psionicists aren't much better, unfortunately. Although, both clerics and Psio's make great support classes in groups.

Back when I played the best Soloers were in this order:

1) Druids

2) Necro's

3) Shammies

4) Rangers

You must of played at release and have not probably played for a year.

Solo list in order is...

Necro/Disciple= They share the top spot because of the necro`s need to kite. In closed spaces the necro has a problem.

Shammy= especially bear are next in line.

Cleric= Yeah he can solo big dots but be prepared to fall asleep doing it.

Druid/Dread Knight= Ok soloist but pale in comparison to the above.

Rangers/Bards are ok but nothing like the Disciple or Necro or Shammy.

I have a level 50 bard+ level 50 Disciple+ Level 50 Bear=Tuurgin Shammy.

The Disciple wins.

I dont like conjuring and I hate totems and stuff like that.  I just gotta do more research I guess...What about disciple?  Are they weak? Paladin?

Disc's were very broken when I played, but they were a pretty fun and unique melee healing class. Just vision a Monk that could heal depending on how much dmg he did to mobs and u have the disciple.

Not anymore? They along with the necro are the best soloing class in the game.

you know i have nothing against the substance itself, people can piss away their lives any way they want.

Its the violence around drugs, that I disagree with.

The fact that people in south american die over fields like that, people die smuggling ti across borders.

And you know what none of that supports its legalization, because the minute we do it becomes just as big of a problem.

How do you do a chemical sobriety test  for marajuana as far as driving goes?????

alcholol you can test for how drunk someone is chemically, you can visible tell an overly intoxicated person.

If in the future  weed could be regulated, a reliable chemical sobriety test made, and we dont get it from what can at best be described as warring third world countries then i would support its legality.

just as a point in question how are a bunch of stoners all gonna find the same park?????????

I have no doubt they can all find a park, but the stoners i know their sense of direction can at best be described as childish.

God man ,wake up lol..You would never survive in Holland/Amsterdam..Man, its great because i can be their in an hour after a hard weeks work sitting back chilling in my favorite coffee shop smoking blueberry haze. I can do this while having a conversation with some random police officer talking about that beautiful filly standing in the window opposite sticking her ass out.

American lol..the land of the free...NOT..

I don't think moses would have much to say to you if he perceived you as a goat. He and his people would likely see you as the enemy ,but that depends on what you look like.

Or has anyone else noticed how there seems to be more and more anti AoC trolls crawling from under their bridges and posting here of late? I mean the closer it gets to launch I see the number of raving posts here spiral upwards.

If the beta tested didn't leak information then people would not be here questioning AOC. So you want people to waste even more money on a game just to be disappointed because its not what they thought it was or what the devs have been promoting.

Funcom devs must no whats going on in these forums and many others, so now is the time to drop the NDA and prove all these people wrong .

There is also a link to the actual AOC beta client floating about lol. Ok..you cant log in but you can read the patch notes so these people who are desperately trying to protect AOC are fighting a losing battle.

Why would they drop a the NDA while they're still in beta?

Patch notes? Name a MMO title that's never been patched.

Desperate? Lol, I'm only an endline client to the industry.  What do you have to lose over AoC's release?; Stocks?, Shares?, Your real life employment? ..or a few from your guild from another game?

Why wouldn't they drop it this close to open beta? Other  devs have dropped NDAs whilst in beta so why shouldnt FC if they have nothing to hide. Don't you think dropping the NDA would put people like me and other in their place.

Why is reading the patch note desperate lol..it would show current fixes and past fixes plus give a wealth of information. Seems you are the one who is desperate, desperately trying to find reasons not to believe the  tide of beta leaks about this game.

None are saying the game is crab but they are saying it will disappoint because its just not the game people imagine it to be. It really doesn't matter though because in 4 weeks time the open beta will starts, then we will see who is right and who is wrong.

I hope these beta links are wrong but for some reason i cant see it.

...Invisible walls? People are getting upset that there may be invisible walls in a game? So upset that they're canceling preorders and utterly writing off a game they've been following for months or years?

Invisible walls have been in virtually every 3d game ever made. And all MMOs I can think of, including AC. So I suggest you all calm down until you hear that there might be something unusual about the use of invisible walls in this game as compared to others(All I've seen is blown out of proportion rumour mongering).

Do some research and you will find its not just invisible wall people are complaining about. Read my post two post up and you will find a number of things people say are wrong with this game, better still grab a copy of the beta client(their is one floating about if you know where to look) download and read the patch notes.

i would just like to know how bad the invisible walls are, if there their at all. To me, is seems like it can't be that big of a deal since people have been testing it for months now and were just hearing about it now.

What do i mean by how bad? I mean like, i do not want to be walking in very narrow landscapes blocked off by giant walls, or crossing a small bridge but not being able to go off to the side. The day i get video confirmation is the day i will start doubting this game.

Its not just invisible walls ,its the fact people are saying you could walk across the current world of hyboria in 25 mins ,not including loading times. If you played eq1/daoc/wow/vg then you will no that it would take you ages to walk across the whole of these worlds.

One of  the main gripes people say they have with the world in AoC is the fact that none of the areas feel like they're connected to each other.  Players want to have to initially explore and find their  way to the next zones themselves. You would  then get a feel for the world and where everything is in relation to each other.

People are saying that AoC feels like you are playing in total independent zones in accordance to your level: First 1-20zone, then jump to 20-30zone, then 30-36zone etc. They also say many of these zones feel very crammed linear and tight.

People also say they  feel very disconnected. They  heve no feeling of being in Hyborea, or where in Hyborea they are. There is absolutely no exploration: as you enter a new zone you have a GPS-correct map of  the whole world - even parts you have never been to. You have a GPS-correct position of that necklace you are to pick ups and it  feels like you are  just running from A to B.

So unlike your true massive online rpg you don't open up maps as you go along because once you are done with one area ,you are zoned to the next with full open maps. All this would not matter but the game is very heavily instanced on top of limited exploration it makes for a very small world even though it looks open.

People say the zones themselves are beautiful but ,knowing you  can't go check out what's on top of those mountains leaves the experience dull and depressing, this is why aoc should not be put into the massive multi player caterogy because its not massive.

Open world FFA pvp? people  can't see it being that great with the size of the zones, there is no where to fight and no where to hide .

These things are just what i have been hearing. I am sure their will be die hard fans with plenty to say about this post but alas this is what people who are obviously testing the game are saying...are they wrong?

BS.. come to Europe and you will find in most places its 14 .

japan from a federal standpoint its 13 but most state type law raises it to about 16.

I hear the same is true with most countries with a low age of consent law.

No..its 14 in most countries in Europe. In  the uk its 16 but in other places in Europe its 14. In holland a 30 year old man can sleep with a consenting 14 year old and this applies to other countries in Europe as well.

I'll be picking up a 7600GS for my other computer, but if you think a 7600GT would make a way better difference, then say so.

I used to play VG  with that same card and still do when 2 boxing. That card is very low range for VG even though it runs other mmorpg flawless. You need to state what the rest of your pc is about ,like is it APG and how much ram and so on.

Personally, unlike the above posts comments ,vg has got worst on my pc that runs this card. Clicking on quests and rift ways sometimes brings up a mirage of colors for a few sec then hitches before i actually get to click. It also brings a black shadow over the land when you are zoning into different chunks sometimes.

I now have a top end pc that runs fine with very little hitching in places like khal but even so its not perfect ,i don't think any pc runs VG flawless at the moment because the graphic engine is still a work in progress.

Spec of my old pc are... 7600gs 256 mb....3gig ram...2.8 athlon..xp pro on balanced with tweaks. Even on lower settings i still get the hitching when clicking sometimes.

You will need 2gig of ram before you even start. Don't expect to run VG on 1 gig of ram with that card because you will have problems ,heck i don't think you will be able to move at all. A lot of people though they could run vg on bare min pcs or the same pcs they run wow on but unfortunately you cant , then they come to websites and complain about vg being shit lol..

Make sure you have the right spec before you even try..

I am planning on building a raid healing disciple, therefore, any information that will help me achieve that end will be great. I am thinking about going max vitality and Dex and the rest in Str.   It will be a few weeks before I get the time to start playing.  I always try and get a good idea of what I am going to do before I start a game.  I think it helps in building a toon and also in creating an enjoyable experience.

Hmm..i think a raid heal disciple is not the way to go. They are the weakest of the healers and their heals are based on jin. They can do a lot of damage so that makes up for their weak healing capabilities. Disciple is very good at fighting along side the main tank and keeping him alive and buffed up but as a raid healer..not the best choice.

I went..Vit..dex..wis..str...and as a soloist he is the nuts, a real 6 dot killer with FD thrown in.

Erm..ok lol..i no people who have gone all the way to lvl 80 and in fact the game seems smaller and smaller the higher lvl you get. You can spout off differently but this is fact. So you are the only person who people should listen to..right? I know numerous people who are testing this game right now and they all say..great graphics..limited world over powerful classes..ie ranger and mob placement that leaves a lot to be desired.

Truth of the matter..you will love it or hate it plain and simple. Will AOC be the game everyone is expecting..no it will be something in between GW and your normal WOW type mmorpg.

So you are saying that people should pay there money ,level all the way to 60 then start to enjoy the game?..You will be playing WAR by the end of the year lol..i guarantee it.

PVP/RVR will not be anywhere near WAR standard and this i have heard and seen through numerous vids to be true.

All i say to people..DO NOT PRE-ORDER UNTIL YOU HAVE PLAYED OPEB BETA ON MAY 1ST..simple.

DDO anyone..lol
