You are missing the point..No one here is saying the game is bad..on the contrary the graphics are top notch but the world and what you can actually do in it and where you can go is not what a lot of people are expecting.

As i said before ..some may like the NWN /gw type restrictions on exploration but if you are a gamer that likes open world where if you see it you can go to it you will be disappointed.

Ok..lets put it this way..i am walking along a path and over to my far left i see what is clearly a dense forest..great i approach then ..BAM invisible wall.  How is WoW any different in this situation?  No there are more mountain ranges in WoW than I've ever seen in every other MMO combined.  None of us, not even you know exactly what AoC will look like.

 

Now this would be ok if it was minimal but from what i have heard  its pretty much everywhere.

Again this is just what i have heard but the zones are meant to be really small. To give you an idea lets take the barrens in WOW and say that most zones are not even half the size of  that zone with invisible walls.  The Barrens isn't actually that big of a zone.  Almost every single zone in LOTRO is far bigger than Barrens.  Again, "What you've heard" doesn't exactly sway my judgment just yet.

That mountain you see in the far off distance with beautiful AOC graphics is out of your reach ,so every time you pass them you will know you can look but not touch.  Okay, how is this different in other MMO's?  Especially talking about areas that aren't available yet?  It's been stated that the huge volcano in Tortage can be scaled and manually erupted.  I'm sure that anything obviously significant in the world will be available for exploration.

If you are looking for deep exploration in AOC then forget it..i even heard that you could explore the current hyboria in a  25 min tour..lol now if that is the case then this has to be a real small world.

Again, another "What you've heard".  How would you or your friends know this if the entirety of Hyboria isn't even released in Beta?  What ignorance.

May 1st will be the time to see if this is all true but from what i am hearing AOC has beautiful graphics but the size of the world and the amount of instancing is way beyond what people are expecting.  Is this also another "What I've heard" statement?  Zoning is not at all a big deal, we didn't complain in the days of EQ, and people sure don't complain about the repetitive GW instances, so why is this such a horrible thing? 

If you don't mind this then AOC will probably be your holy grail but if this effects the time of game play you like,,don't pre-order until you have played the open beta..

This might be the only logical statement that you've made.  I will however pre-order because I have no intention of playing any other game.

I could show you a site that has over 180 AOC beta leaks some as new as this morning seriously ,go do a bit of  searching..I have actually been friendly in my description of AOC but alas ..don't take my word for it..

The reason that I am prompted to write this is actually two reasons.  The motivation first off was a show that I was just watching about Jesus.  In it they were talking about Judas.  Judas has long been thought of in evangelical circles as the betrayer of Jesus.  But he wasn't.  They had a Greek language scholar say that those are mistranslations.  He even said it with a chuckle in his voice leading me to believe he was laughing at how crazy it all is.  He said those Greek passages say that Judas was simply the one that handed him over, not took money as betrayal.  In other words, Jesus told him to go to the high priests and turn him in.  He told him to because Judas was the one disciple he called his "friend" and that he trusted enough to perform the task.

Now, here's my other motivation.  I wonder if anyone who is an evangelical ever considers what they are doing?  If this is a mistranslation, then why aren't you guys able to question this and other mistranslations and have it fixed?  Why?  Is it because tradition is too strong a factor?  Or is it because if you question one mistranslation then the house of cards might come tumbling down?

I would think that people would want the truth to be told.  But then again, I have seen all too often where the truth has been hidden.

Also, the church I attend welcomes, even encourages, questions like this.  Our preacher will stand up and profess anything found by one of us to the whole during a sermon.  It's not hidden, it's opened.  Is this the case in your church?  Or does that King James version of the Bible just keep on trucking along no matter?
