OP is annoyed because he didn't get his beta invite.  Going to those conventions guarantee you a spot, but does not guarantee which wave you will be in.

There is a beta count ticker located on www.warhammeronline.com  

It gets updated everytime they sent out a round of invites.  I think its about 440,000 now

There is already a Starcraft mmo being made it's called Warhammer 40K.   THQ is making 40k mmo it's currently in early development.  Not only did blizzard rip off the warhammer fantasy world they also riipped off the 40k world.

100 npcs doing nothing is not even close to 100 people running around attacking each other and casting spells.  

Funny I see AOC trolls all over the war boards as well.  Don't just point out one game when it happens on forums for ALL GAMES. 

AOC won this award because they released more information that was not seen before.  WAR releases information all the time, and they basicly showed nothing that we haven't seen before.

With that said, i hear there was a lot more people at the WAR booth then the AOC booth all day.

This attitude is the exact reason why i won't touch AOC with a 10 foot pole.  Will be full of elitists thinking there shit don't stink

If you want a challenge after you pick your nose eat the snot.  Very high in protein.

It's always good to judge from poor quality beta video's.

Wait DAOC has had destructible buildings (keeps) and seige weapons in their game for 6 years. They must have known blizzard was going to be releasing WoW 6 years in the future.  They stole their secrets and created the game 6 years before blizzard could release WoW.  Yes thats the answer!! everyone copies wow!

How much can a game change in beta?

If you knew anything about the game, then you would know  Mythic re-designed the ENTIRE Dwarf and Greenskin starting areas.  That should answer that question very easily.
