my card says "our records reflect you canceled your Vanguard account' then they mentioned they flagged my account for EQ2 until September 15th and the ability to download the game and all expansion packs for free." I downloaded the game, went to play it and almost all the races are grayed out except a few. |

I got the same thing in the mail. The catch is until you subscribe to the game you can only play a few races. |

In order for you to siege the capital you have to have all the zones (tiers). You can slowly push your way back by retaking tiers. If you ever played DAOC you have to capture xxx amount of keeps to open up a relic gate to seige th relics. This workds basicly the same way but with the tiers. To open up the main gate to seige the city you have to capture all the zones. |

The most victory points come from scenarios. This lets you advance to the capital city. However the best loot comes from World PVP. I would not worry about not having anyone doing world pvp.
Watch the types of RVR video on www.warhammeronline.com and it would have answered your own questions. Bah i forgot people dont want to research the game for 15 mins before spewing crap out. |

I would not put Guild Wars into the mix due to the fact it's not a Subscription based MMO. |

"DAoC at it's peak also has probably 1/30th or less of the total subscribers of WoW. What is your point?" 6 years ago the total population of people playing MMO's was very little. Maybe 1 million spread across 4 or 5 games tops. You are trying to compare apples and oranges. DAOC was the #2 subscription MMO behind everquest for a long time. And it was a PVP (RVR) centric game. If you mean FFA PVP then state Free for All. DAOC went down the tubes when they implemented TOA which they thought would give enough PVE/ High End Raiding that would take more away from EQ and it failed. People who played daoc wanted to pvp not pve. |

Try Dark Age of Camelot. It by far has the best pvp (rvr) system ever created. It's an old game but a good game. |

People remember DAOC is a 6 year old game. It is on older servers and the technology is old. They are not going to recode an entire game to fix some of those issues. |

Warhammer is not Vanguard. They are two completely different games. War is PVP, and Vangard was created for the Hardcore PVE whore. |

They have been letting people PVP in WAR at game conventions for months already. I find the lack of information from Funcom disturbing. Mythic has provided their fanbase with a crap load of info on a monthly basis. Based on the info that it out there i'd rather play WAR. Mythic has a few revolutionary things they have not released and for good reason, but that has not stopped them from giving info and showing video's. They even released horrible ALPHA footage 7 months ago or so. I would be totally surprised if AOC is released on time. I'm pulling for AOC but i just don't see it. |

I'm getting really tired of seeing people just create mass accounts and rate games. I think it should be a 50-70 post count limit. Notice as soon as War gets some decent comments and the hype level goes up all the AOC fans and haters just spam the hype with complete crap? Happens to all games not just WAR. I'm getting tired of it |

There will be a very large amount of people allowed into beta. To increase your chances sign up for their newsletter and get a DAOC subscription. If you don't have either of those your chances to get into beta during the early stages are slim. You will most likely be invited durning the last stage of beta. And for the record there will be NO OPEN BETA |

I used to be very hyped on AOC, however the more video's i see and information being released the more i am not liking the game. My rating has gone from a 10 down to a 5. However the more video's i see on Warhammer Online the more i am impressed. |

I would not worry about population. Most people who randomly pick up the box will play the good side (empire, dwarf ect). Population will even out nicely. |
