i thought according to warhammer lore magic was very dangerious to use, as it could backfire.  I think that how they will put it into the game

I don't think so,  I think warhammer and D&D has a much bigger fan "cult" then LOTR.

Dark Age of Camelot has a ton of pet classes to play and almost all of them are fun. 

Necro's-  Totally rely on their pet, if they die you die.

Theurgist-  Allows you to cast different type of elemental pets on enemy, up to 15 pets max

Animist-  Drop up to 15 mushrooms at one time that attack people they don't move

Bonedancer- You command a skeleton army 

Spiritmaster- You have a dead spirit as a pet

Enchanters- Allows you to summon a minion, either a tank, nuker or healer.

Hunters- summon a wolf as a pet

Minstrels- able to charm a enemy mob for a pet 

Sorcorers- able to charm a enemy mob for a pet 

 Mentalists allow you to charm a enemy mob as a pet.

People have a valid reason to say it will flop.  Turbine has had a very very VERY bad track record with MMO's.  Even AC wasn't one of the best, it was successful thats about it.  UO, EQ, and DAOC had more subs then AC.  Lately they have been putting out total garbage.

high end graphics are never good for a MMO, gameplay will be horrible, unless you have a very high end pc.

Lineage population is in Asia, gaming in asia is completly different then the US.  Then your using Ultima Online, the very first MMO basicly ever created. 

And from what i have heard once the pvp in OU was put in, mostly everyone left.

Look at mmorpgchart.com and you'll see lineage and lineage 2 is on it's way down.

This is the mistake people are making.  WAR IS NOT PVP, it is RVR.  Stop comparing the 2, they are not even alike.  On that note, make a list of all PVP MMO games that have been successful.

They Are .........Correct the list is slim to none.

Mythic implemented RVR in DAOC and by far has been the best type of PVP i have ever played, even to this day people still say DAOC has the best PVP out there. 

An example of pvp would be the Mordred server in DAOC.  The pvp was great there, the community was horrible, part of the reason why these PVP games suck and do miserable is the uber l3333ts haxorz, griefing community.

After reading this entire thread i've come to conclusion that most people saying AoC better then WAR obvsiously has never read anything about WAR.  IF you have you would realise that you can PVP the entire way in WAR or PVE.  Also WAR is skilled based not Level based.

I don't know much about AoC but i do know all the statements being thrown out about WAR are mostly not true.

seems like to me mythic will be helping the UO team with UO.

And MJ come out and said if they didn't accept the buyout, that the release date would have been pushed back.  EVEN if the UO teams helps on WAR they will report directly to Mark Jacobs.  Come to more ASSumptions.

lol these are all the same people that post and complain how bad mythic has sucked for years and years.  It just another thing for the average MMO fan to complain about.  Go look at all the MMO boards out there, try and find a board were their isn't people complaining about the game company that makes the game.

The funny part is they'll complain and complain and bitch and moan, but they'll have their copy of WAR first day released complaining about it's launch.

Makes perfect sense to me.  Either you go with Vivendi distribution or the next largest and really only competitor EA.  They go with EA.  WAR would never have gotten the shelf space with Vivendi since WOW is there #1.

Excellent strategic move.  They will either get millions of subs or burn it's 50 50, just like it was before, i dont think Mythic could handle the amount of subs they were expecting anyway, they can barely keep the servers up for DAOC nevermind prolly need 50+ servers for WOW
