I've been involved in some huge debates about this over the past couple of years.  Not so much lately because I got tired of arguing about something I couldn't prove.  But, you know, when people tell you over and over again that you're stupid, lying, or just ignorant because of something you saw that they refused to see, and then it turns out that you were right after all; well yeah, I think a little bit of "I told you so" is justified. 

At pure face value your statement holds some credence, but in reality its very small minded, specially with all game this one with  new combat system which in itself opens up smore possiblies to skill over gear situations, just because someone is standing toe2toe in max out gear and his opponent is standing there in average crafted gear doesnt mean Mr Raider is invincible..he could be a complete retard or crap at his class or simply been taken by surprise by some half nakid Assassin from behind, there is so many variable to take into consideration to say gear is the be & end of all is ridiculous , Advantage??? yes maybe in some scenarios in others?  no he may die instantly from a nicely place dagger  to the back of his head.

  I didnt raid in WoW. And I had nothing to do except doing arena over and over or getting honor (read: grinding AV)

After first paragraph which i enjoy & also hinted to you having a personality kinda went down hill after that.

Games are what you make it, not everyone has to have the Best Of The Best Gear so no for some PvE raiding is not essential so the game doesnt revolve around it or crafting, shouldnt think that everyone judges or has the same expectations as you or the small minority of this Forum.

the devs have already stated on one of the question and answer blogs that they are saving cheetah 2, dx10, spellweaving, seiges etc, etc for release day.  So more than likely we will not see the latest build until May 17th for preorders and the 20th for everyone else

Ah ok i musta missed that bit, was aware of the Dx10 build & Spellweaving, well i hope we have a client version thats decent without the silly little bugs of the PvP weekend but regardless there was next to no problems so cant knock them on that , only thing that bugged me was the plants and grass ect the shubbery just looked awful lol, but i guess that my only quirk so thats a good thing.

Just paying a huge compliment to Turbine. I just finished downloading the patch when all of a sudden BAM! Frikken client buggs and everything crashes.

To the point ,my client was bugged on the retry timer. I spent 3 hours chating live with assistant , basically it took every bit of those 3 hours to work out the problem and finally got it up and running.Unfortunattely i missed the open 1hour of the update but hey, i am just glad to be playing.

It will not be a retail release version. This is another version designed just for the stress test. There will be no directx 10. No raid dungeons. I still think this version has the same low quality hair texture bug in it.

 

DirectX 10, Keep Battles, Raid Dungeons are all Retail release only material. They are holding all of that back for release, along with afew other things.

Sure i appreciate we not get all the dungeons ect no point since only lvl 13 we only be on Tortage but be a damn shame if not final client.

How do you get a key just goto the link and if one is available it will just pop up on screen? , im a payer for fileplanet but i dont understand how it knows your a member you dont log in?

Well ive spent the last 24 hours playing in the beta, got plenty of CTF type play and maybe 5 lvls of tortage & have to say im not overly impressed but has been fun, this beta is extremely limited world wise but classes we have had the run of it , graphics on max are nice but far from amazing, and the vegetation is fairly disturbing.

But this is beta so will hold my reservations about lag issues and graphics and general game play till release.

Character Models are very nice indeed, custimization exceeds anything ive seen before, highly unlikely anyone will look the same & the armour looks very very nice indeed and this was basic stuff.

Not sure what was going off with the Fatality moves, every time i managed one it was so fast all i saw was blood splatter on my screen, dont get chance to appreciate or even understand what happened tbh.

One thing that was good though , remember that very first time you walked out of Freeport to kill rats in EQ1? i had that feeling again, atmosphere is defantly there .
