It's a problem for everyone atm I'm afraid, the servers are down so no one can register. All the information is found here http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/polnews/news12003.shtml Been waiting 2 days so far to register and haven't been able to, I just hope they sort things out soon. |

Which version of SWG are you talking about? pre cu I take it? You gotta get out there and start downloading trials, asking players what there reccomendations are probably won't work for you. 90% of the time you'll just get people reccomending the MMO they play. If it is pre cu your talking about then there's nothing that resembles it with the current line of games im afraid :( |

I think this game is working to provide something for both PvP'ers and PvE'ers which is pretty much largely where this game is different to the WoW clones out there. Not too much has been said about PvP or the point to it, other than the arena's which people have spoken about. I don't really understand your question though? what you want to know is, is this going to be a hardcore PvP game? If that is the case then no. |

Nevermind managed to speak to someone on the Live chat who said there are server issues which means no one can register on the servers. Looks like I'll have to wait a while to try this out :( |

I recently bought the Vana'diel collection to give this game a serious try, however once I installed PlayOnline It cannot connect for me to create a PlayOnline account. I understand the servers might be busy with people coming back for the new expansion, anyone else having this problem? |

Yeah your doing great and exactly the way anyone that wants to do well in this game should. The people that have raced 10-15 levels higher than you have ignored their PT's, this means that they'll be what is described as gimped. Basically you'll find PvE and PvP much easier than they will in the long run. Keep at what your doing if your not getting bored and are happy to level like that then carry on :) |

At the moment you will properly be effective in PvP from level 47 and onwards, it depends which server you are playing however as this is on Novus, on Lumen the PvP level is around 40 now. |

For me it's the PvP, everything I do PvE I know I am doing to make myself stronger in PvP. It's all down to what you like, I'm not a fan of Korean grinders, I've never played one until this game. I love the anime style this game presents which I think alot of the players enjoy, that and the pvp mix is great, I wouldn't argue that the grind for me would be better if it was a bit shorter. |

Originally posted by PornoSatan 1. the best way for this would be to break it down for you in level stages, it takes around 1 day to reach level 20. then another 2 days to get to 30 with good PT stats. Then I have got to 40 in around 4 days on top of that. These times are if I played 10 hours a day. then after that it's down to finding good xp groups, I powered from 40 to 45 in a few days, most people would take longer. 45 - 50 is when things slow right down, your talking a couple of weeks if you grind solid to get through 46-49. It can take a month to get to 50. The cap now is 55 but I've got no idea how long it takes as no one has reached the new cap yet :)
2. No idea on this one sorry, I don't think it is possible to remove this, well I've never worked out a way to do it :)
3. The game compared to most MMO's IMO has, dare I say some balance to it, however there are classes I would suggest you avoid such as Driver for Bellato as they are too expensive and most old Driver players will tell you it's not much fun anymore. If you want a class that is easy to play for Cora I would say summoner, if you can get the summons and are willing to level them you can grind through the entire game by yourself if you know what you are doing. Easy accretian class would have to be any of the warrior classes but particularly, Merc's. They are extremely good tanks and give you a huge survivability but still reasonable damage at the same time. To be honest bellato are pretty good across the board with there classes other than Spec. Mages make great support and deal some decent damage, because they are the defensive race there tanks are also pretty easy to play (until the later levels when it can become damn expensive).
Thats about it really, just bare in mind if you want to be active in PvP in this game going specialist will mean you won't be as effective because you lose the highest tier of attacks, however this has changed with the recent update but you need to be high level before this comes into effect. Just choose a class which you think suits you, because at the end of the day your going to be playing it for a lonnngg time.
4. No, there are levels required to use items but also something called PT levels, this means that when you use any melee weapon you also gain XP for your melee PT, same for using a shield. It's a little more general than that you get; Ranged PT - Ranged weapons Melee PT - Melee weapons Force PT - Spells Shield PT - use of shields Defence PT - Getting hit levels this, it increase your max hp.
hope that answers your questions :)

It depends what timezone you play, the game is busiest during prime time CW which is 7pm GMT. I'm seeing a hell of alot more players now than I ever did when the game was P2P :) |

never seen any and I very much doubt there is any at all, this game doesn't cater much for RP'ers at all. |

Which server did you roll on? you'd probably get more help on Novus it's the server with all the old players on it (inc. me). Yes the cora spec is possibly the most pointless class in the game, the other 2 races specialists have more use the accretian spec gets guns which can debuff enemies and also heal them. the bellato specialist can later become a driver which means they can use Mechs. if you need anymore help xfire is the best thing you can add me and I will answer any questions to the best of my ability, if your playing on Novus my name ingame is DeadEdge you can message me there as well. |
