they just pulled a huge GM event in one of the big cities, where they threw large high lvl mobs at everyone to try and test the servers. It was fun and it crashed my friend's game 8 times.

i'm so glad i keep checking this site everyday. I remember the main site said that MMORPG.com was going to have a beta key giveaway, but that was two months ago.

I'm also really glad that it wasn't a contest and just one of the "here is your key, go have fun" type of thing. I'm so excited i can't wait for the stress test!

yea, i havn't heard of people hitting max lvl on this game yet, which is a breath of fresh air. What turned me off from WoW is that you can hit max lvl in two weeks, thats just sad. Seems like OP just wants this to  be like WoW and hit max ASAP so he can sit in a field and wait for the other people.

Also, if anyone is familiar with warhammer, its not a nice game, just playing the fantasy roleplay (pen and paper for those who don't know) you were pretty much stopped from advancing as soon as you made your character. So if GW is making Mythic make you lvl slow, then i will be a very happy warhammer fan.

i voted must because i'm liking how this game looks. Its looking pretty good and i've been hovering in my e-mail from what it seems every few hours to see if i got a closed beta key.

I'm impatiently waiting for this game and i hope i get to play some closed beta before open beta, but if i won't complain when open beta shows up. This is looking so good i just can't wait

i saw the list they put up to get the beta keys for the game. When i saw this site i flipped and jumped on only to find...nothing. It seems when the current contest is done and over with, there will be a possibility that the beta keys will come up.

So all i can suggest is sit and wait and visit the main page every day to see whats going on, thats what i've been doing.

i've usually ran into this with some games. I know knight online took forever to show up in my inbox. All i can say is be patient and its bound to show up. If not, try to contact their customer support.

from the looks of it, the space and planets expansion is coming out sometime soon, like in december or sometime after christmas. The private servers would most likely have the expansion before the main "retail" servers have it, but it seems like it might be slowly put on sometime soon. (or never, which ever comes first)

Shaiya has a nice Item Mall that doesn't make people over powered. They mainly have rare mounts, or stuff to put into your weapons. As well as EXP gaining items for a few hours.

though some of that sounds like it could overpower a character, it could if you pump money into it, but most people just sell  them, and the item mall upgrades are completly random.

So if RoM does it right, the Item Mall can just have some neat little stuff that you would wanna buy to give them money (like special mounts, or special pets and special items for your player house)

I agree with OP. Everything is going to be the "same" per se. Yea this looks like WoW (which i don't like) but it seems like it has some better gameplay mechanics than that.

I'm actually really excited about this game, and my g/f is just as excited.  We both signed up for the Beta and are waiting impatiently for the keys, lol. But i'm sure some trolls are going to make their way into here (like they do every forum on this site) and just flame that everything is like WoW, but we'll just have to take it with stride i guess :/

I'll be plaing Phantasy Star Universe until i can get a job and pay for WAR. Probably pick up on Guild Wars again. But this game is looking good everytime i check up on it.

The game does look promising (especially the paladin part) I'll have to sign up for the beta and hopefully get in, hopefully it'll go into OB or something soon.

I've been looking this game over and was wandering about it. I'm a little afraid to download it with what everyone is saying about the game.

So i was wandering if people can post on this thread about the pros and cons of the game. Please don't start a flame war, or troll the heck out of this thread, i really am thinking of joining this game and i just want to know basic facts and stories from players who still play, or who used to play

When you hit chapter four in the story mode, you'll get extra mode, which gives you the ability to make your own character. Then as you progress through story mode, you'll get free missions for both story mode and extra mode. Extra mode is all about the free missions. And when you beat the story mode, all the shops open up in extra mode and you can party with all the characters you could party with in story mode.

from what i read on the main site, they say the constellation is supposed to be how it looked from Tolkien's own window (so yea, the constellation in England basically)

Why the hell do you care so much. Who cares if there is a bad review. If you want a bad review, go look for the WoW troll greifers who scan the LOTRO boards just to say bad stuff about it when they played for 5 seconds.

This is a good game, smooth launch, good community when people aren't yelling about random stuff, and its not all about phat lewt and the what not. If you don't like this game, leave it alone, don't go around telling people "this is a bad game because of *insert random phrase of why its a WoW clone here*" and saying not to play it. Just go play WoW, or EQ2 or whatever you want to play and leave the community alone.

I played through closed, pre-order beta and got the game at launch, i bought it, almost the special edition. But i payed for the subscription. Only reason why you hated it after a week is because turbine's grace period was over and you didn't feel like paying for it.

So if you don't like it, don't post about it, don't think about it, and don't go on here telling people they shouldn't play it.

To the people who said their five year olds play this game: good for you for spawning prodigies of the human race, i didn't know that five year olds could read without interuppting their nap time at pre-school
