As i ve said in other posts i could care less about this game, if it does well great if it doesn t who cares. Avery stop reaching, play your game and ignore people if they bother you. I have seen your tone get alot worse recently. I m not sure if it s because your game is less then what you wanted, or if it s your goal to protect it like it s your life. Really who cares if I or anyone else says they don t like it. On topic that means nothing really, it s the only new MMO out in awhile, with some differences from WOW so ya i think people bored with WOW and games similar would buy it. Just give it time, it will do ok but the sales will drop alot come sept-nov, for many reasons:)

Some people love it, some people hate, and some could care less really. The thing i am noticing though is there are alot more people that love it saying hmm it s not as good as i thought as opposed to the ones that hate it now liking it. Actually i can t think of on that didn t care for it, tried it and now loves it. This is the trend on all the forums i ve been on with this game. Not saying i hate it actually i m in the could care less category. That said i think the game from people i e talked to and general chat here and other forums is it isn t what alot were hoping for.

Oh good god, anyone that thinks the OP is remotely serious(if he/she is , they re on crack) should give their head a shake. This game was pushed out too soon, and to many is not even fun, even if there weren t any bugs, missing content etc. It will have it s following but i will say what i said probably 6 months ago. It will be a niche game when all is said and done and have maybe 150k-200k subs tops. Thats good still but the king my god no way.

This i can say is wrong. Testing as well and the gameplay is great. Opinions remember, so i guess i can t say you re wrong but IMO it s great gameplay.

I don t think many are saying it s a failure at all. Just because i couldn t stand the game(even though i don t own it and never will, played a friends copy), doesn t mean alot wont. Same goes for the ones that like it. If someone says they don t like it, there always seems to be a pattern of, go back to wow, your comp sucks etc. The game isn t for everyone i think we can all agree on this. That said if you re having fun great, alot arent. Not much else can be said about it.

Well DAOC never raised the adv cap past 50. I think theres a reason it s 40 , ties in well with the number of tiers:) changing it to 60 say would mean they need to rework BG levels content for certain things within each tier( PQs etc). I think it will stay 40 and they ll add levels in things like renown, city levels, guild levels. Maybe they ll even add to career mastery levels etc which can easily be done without messing with the adv level.

Origins is a new server coming out in aug/sept that basically is the original DAOC with a few tweaks. Theres alot of info on it go to the camelot herald it will tell you anything you need to know about it.

As hard as i have been on this game, its still quite sad to see so many posts like this all over the net. That said it s no ones fault but FC so i really don t feel bad for them in the end. AOC could have been a great game and had a mill subs, if some fundamentals were changed and was released in a better state. As of now i would say for alot it isn t.

 This is not how it looks when you play with people that have been playing for more than a half hour or so.

btw content complainers..alot of the art and especially the sound is all place holders.   The lighting engine like the dev's have said multiple times is not fully implemented (which is true), not all the maps have lighting even calculated, they have low res everything because they are NOT testing the art content.  They're only testing the game play theyv'e said this openly dozens of times I dont understand why some of you continue to complain over something thats not part of the client download.   I'm glad the full version of the art and sound isn't in ... the files are already HUGE enough when downloading a new client.

Yeo you are bang on. When you actually play the game it is truly amazing. These videos don t do it justice at all.

If you look at it this way. 4 Tiers-40 levels. Theres no need to change it. They have lvl 1-10 in tier1, etc. So ultimately all they need to do is add more renown ranks, unlocks, guild levels, city levels. The game doesn t need more adventure levels at all. Personally i think it s smart to keep it at 40 and work on the stuff that matters at 40 at later dates. Sure add more stuff for levels 1-39 as well but theres alot that can be added at 40 especially RVR wise.

Still awaiting beta, or open beta. Have my CE (first CE I have ever ordered) and havent had  a second thought yet!

I would say yes. I have logged a ton in this game and still look forward to logging in any chance i can:)
 

In beta have 2 CE s ordered. 1 for my wife and I. No way in hell will i return these.

Yep i too thought you couldn t get a refund on a MMO. A friend of mine is the manager of EB games in town and he admitted to me that quite a few were brought back and they had to honor it. He said it was a first in MMOs that he seen or can remember, in his 6 years there.

I really do feel sorry for this company. Ok no i don t, but man i can t believe the amiunt of people cancelling here and main forums and the amount i know personally that have quit. I told some friends not to buy the game but they didn t listen. Now they re all saying we should have listened to you. Most of the people i know that got the game were old DAOC, UO, SB fans that were bored with their MMOs atm, so thought oh well lets try a new one. I don t know 1 still playing. Sad really.

It's not really going to stop that. Anyone that has played DAoC knows that the "spies" exist. Anyone with access to more than one account can do this.

I dunno why they even bother with it. Reminds me of the days when Verant/Whomever refused to let people alt-tab out of EQ1 because they thought it helped make the game more "secure".

I'm sad to see the list you have shows that no RVR dungeons will exist ;( That was some fun stuff in DaoC.
 

Darkness Falls wasn t in at DAOC s release. I can almost guarentee they ll have one. If not the first major patch the second. It only makes sense to have it and they know how people loved it in DAOC.
 

I truly feel sorry for FC and AOC. They had what could have been a winner, but i think in the end it will just be another average MMO. They did do a good job hyping it and released it in a window of no competition of anything new. I m very interested to see what subs will be like in 4-6 months time.

There are many many many things to do at 40. TOK unlocks(titles, trophies, skills etc), guild levels, renown rank, and of course the best rvr till your hearts content :) Theres more of course but i think people get the idea.

I actually think it will beat WOW in NA. Asia i don t think so as you said as well, but you never know.
