I have played AoC much mroe than EQ2. Comparing the two is just wrong and if you do I would say AoC are miles ahead. AoC just have so much higher quality content.

      I would like to have some of the weed your smoking.Eq2 blows AoC out of the water hands down if you wanna play a pay to play instanced piece of crap then AoC is your game .

If Blizzard did half the massive updates Turbine did...  well..  Bit for bit, LOTRO players got overall twice the content over the past year than the $40 WoW expansion is giving it's players.   On top of that, their expansion is adding even more!   

I'm neither a fanboi or basher of either game.  I'm convinced there hasn't been a near-perfect MMO since the original SWG.   Just from observation and experience, having played both games extensively, that the subscription dollar certainly stretches farther with LOTRO and Turbine that it does with WoW.   

    That I will agree with overall since release expansions included Blizzard's game additions have been a piss poor amount compared to anygame  what is even more puzzling is blizzard makes a crapload more money then the other guys and still cant put content out in a timely manner Eq2 for instance launched 2 weeks or so before WoW and they have prob put more free content into the game than everything blizz has done expansions included on top of that they have launched adv packs PLUS soon to be 4 expansions in the same amount of time blizz has.Turbine I love as a company and I wanted to love lotro I really did I just could not get into the gameplay .

 4 years blizzard has been runnin a mmog patchin has always been a problem for them does not matter if its a 3mb or a 1 gb patch they always manage to screw something up they are the Funcoms of the mmog patch world :=P

Yep just like they said =) lots of lots of fun, no boring stuff etc =) if you want more depth, play VG or eve =D i play 'em all =) I just love war for the action and quick gearing, if i have 30 min over to play i can progress alot in war, wich i like alot!

4 years SWG and 4 years EQ2. So close, yeah. I am used to MMOs where you SLOWLY built characters and things to last.

   Gonna sound like a troll/flame but I don't mean it to but SWG or Eq2 never one is a  game you SLOWLY build anytthing in I playd SWG at launch and many months afterwards and it took  me less time probly than WAR has to lvl out Eq2 same thing and played it from beta well into release nothing slow about either.Want to SLOWLY build chars then old Eq1 or FF would been a game for that

 Not a I hate WoW reply I like it hell I gotta like it even if I didn't why you ask? because my gf likes it and therefore I have to play it.WoW is a mainstream mmo its not a mmog that was really made for old mmogers it was made to bring in all the ppl who don't play mmogs the idiots who would have lasted maybe 5 mins in old UO or EQ WoW is for all the ppl who would never have the skill to play other mmos. Now havin said that I have enjoyed WoW because of my limited time its a nice easy game to play and get some stuff done without havin to invest a entire day like I did in a mmog years ago.

  To all the ppl who are boasting about WoW's sub numbers how many subs do you think they really would have if you took out the chinese gold farmers, and the alt account? Hell I have 4 accounts to WoW 2 for me 2 for gf ALOT of ppl have that many or more I would say WoWs real numbers if you just subtracted the gold farmers and sellers would be well well below 10 million

the game is slow, boring, the classes are boring theres nothing new. This gam should have been sold in 2003-2004 but not at 2008.

The grafic sucks, new grafic cards are useless because this game even runs on a ATI1950XT in full FPS.

The animations are dull and all classes look like robots. 

Again many of us got hyped by the marketing of Mythic. But looking at DAOC, honestly i didnt expect anything that great. Well i bought it and i want to sell it ASAP. i hope i find someone stupid enough to take it.

People that compare this game with Vanguard, WoW or even AoC cant be normal. They must be blinded and mindwashed by all the commercials.

This game runs on a Pentium 4 3Ghz, 2GB and a shitty VGA Card with max quality.

No Bump Mapping, No high resolution Textures, just plain old 2003 WoW Grafic with other design.

Thats it.

Many people will follow my opinion soon after a few weeks more people will wake up and see what crap they bought and even played.

BTW > Warrior Priests are the Paladins of Warhammer, even 7 Orcs cant kill one of them. Nice Balanceing Mythic

JonnyBigBoss you still do not understand.  Whats the point of a headstart if we can't play until we get our CD keys.  Mine isn't suppose to arrive until the 26th.  Thats four days im missing out from warhammer.  Pretty much destroys the point of the headstart.

Well, people who grew up with old-school MMORPGs will of course like sandbox a lot more while neo-MMORPG players except them to be linear. It's all decided by what we grew up with, and I grew up with the DAoC, SWG type of MMORPG.

 And your sure not as you pan it "old school" if daoc and swg were your first mmogs and your sure not elite in your thinking.

You read my mind... SWG was the first MMORPG to really drag me into the genre. I think it was my second MMORPG, while DAoC being my first.

I might've been spoilt by how fucking great SWG was, and it was also one of my early ones.

  Your a fool for many reasons one SWG was NEVER great and I repeat NEVER not pre nge and not after nge. Asherons Call One was a 1000x better and much more of a sandbox than swg could ever have dreamed of.

  I think the biggest issue is people are exploring and enjoying the game,another is since quest area's are show to you on the big map no one really needs to ask hey where is so and so,then last but no least I really do not like the chat window I dunno somethin about it just bugs me feels clunky.

 First off whoever here posted that funcom gms are not paid is full of BS.Funcom GMs are paid and they work at funcom officers the lesser guides in AO and AoC are the volenteers there is a difference between them and actual gms.

  Second not surprising funcom has always been dirty like that I would suspect that probly a funcom gm or dev has a character in that guild maybe unknown to most but similar stuff happened in AO years ago with a clan guild named Storm where several funcom ppl had members in that guild and cheated more than once to benifit that guild to the point at Tara raid one night a funcom dev who was a member of storm was actually warping out opposing faction members to ensure Storm  managed to kill the raid mob before others did.

 I am sittin out of OB fo most part simply because I hate OB's it leads in a flood of retards with stupid names I dunno how many legalos elfs I have seen spelled in some manner same for gimlee I will pass once it goes retail I will play and hope alot of the freeloaders who dont plan to buy WAR are back in WoW or w.e other f2p game they came from,

 Just as many as before this is really nothing new I have yet to play a mmog and I have about played them all that at some point or time the EU community is bellyaching or whining about something.Yes it sucks they are losing beta time but beta is just that look on the bright side by the time you guys prob get to play least it will be retail and you wont be dealin with character wipes.

  WoW will still be on top but really doesn't matter to me I like BOTH games but one thing I will tell you is this Blizzards guy came out and told ppl they seen a drop and lose of ppl when AoC came out if WoW lost enough subs and ppl when that piece of crap AoC Came out to take note of it WAR is gonna be like a cyclone compared to what they lost to AoC.Say if they lost 500k WoW subs due to WAR not saying it will but tbh it would not surprise me WAR is a fun game and will be easy to get into for WoW ppl  and some definetly want something new and excited even for a few months till lich king comes out.

   Now for the average fanboi 500k subs not a big deal when you have 10 million subs right? I am sure Blizzard begs to differ do the math 500k subsX14.99 a month means they would lose almost 7.5 million dollars not something blizzard or any company would want.
