So XP won't run 4 gigs or Ram? Hmm. Well, would XP 64 be better than Vista at this point for gaming? |

So my current system sucks, and I can barely play WAR on it. So I need to build a new one(two actually, one for myself and my wife). So I started fooling around at Newegg, and threw together this PC. Price is a concern for me, as I have to build two identical systems, so I can't go all out. Well, here's a mini part list and specs: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Brisbane 2.9GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103234 MOBO: ASUS M2N-E http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131022 RAM: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231098 VIDEO CARD: GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143118
So there are the most important pieces. What kind of performance will I get out of this machine? I'm hoping to play it on Max settings, but I don't want my FPS to tank....can I run at max while still maintaining 30+FPS in RvR and big cities? And I realize I could get "better". However, like I said, I'm on a budget, and I'm trying to build two WAR pc's for under $1k. However, if you see any glaring flaws, or pieces I should swap out, please let me know.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Trying to see if anyone is running WAR succesfully on an old PC. The older, and crappier the specs the better. |

Title say's it all. Just wondering what the healing classes are for each faction, as I'm interested in playing a healer. And I'm sure this is taboo around here, but could anyone possibly makes some wow comparrisons for me here...like a golbin shaman plays SIMILIAR to X wow class. This will help me grasp the concepts a little better. Thanks. |

So my first question is in the title. If my machine can run wow, can it run war? My machine is also capable of running EQ2, although poorly, but still playable. My second question is this: How do the starting areas work? My wife and I currently play WoW, and when we would start new toons, we would pick a race and class, and play together in the starting area. However, with war, the races are a bit more limiting in terms of the classes they allow. So, for example, how would my wife and I go about playing a goblen shaman(me) and maybe a witch elf? Would we ever be able to play with one another? And if so, when would be the earliest that we could do so? And finally, my last question: How "connected" is the world? I mean, does each faction just stay in a general area, and do rvr without really exploring ALL of the locations in the world? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. BTW, system specs are as follows: MY PC: 2500 Barton AMD 1 gig ram 6600gt Wife's PC: 2gz Pentium 4 1 gig ram ATI 9600 256 mb

Gonna be upgrading my PC's around in a few months so I can play AoC. So I need to know what system specs are required to play this game at mostly high settings without risk of lag in congested areas. Thanks. |

Just wondering what class would best resemble a MS warrior from WoW? Not sure it would be a Barbarian, Conqueror, or w/e. So, which class? |

I need to know if my PC's will run AoC, here are the specs:
PC #1 Intel 2GHZ 1Gig Ram Radeo 9600
PC#2 AMD 2500 Barton 1 Gig RAM GeForce 6600GT
One PC is mine, the other is my wife's....so basically both of them will have to run the game in order for us to play this game. Now I understand that we won't be able to run the game at full blast or anything...but I hope our machines will at least make it playable.
Also, is it true that the game is gonna require 30g HD space? If so, that pretty much rules out my wifes PC. |

So my wife and I are currently droning in the World of Warcraft. We want something new. We played Guild Wars before, but at the time we only had one PC, so we never got into it. Now that we have two, we were thinking about getting back into Guild Wars. We really don't like to PvE too much, but PvP is something that we really enjoy. So my main question is....which expansion should I get first? I have the original Guild Wars game, but only one copy. So whichever expansion we get, we will get x2 of. And is there a point in getting all of the expansions, including the original game itself? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Also, if we were to each get both Nightfall AND Factions, could one of us play an Assassin, but go through the PvE content of Nightfall? Can I mix and match the classes and go through the PvE content of all the Guild Wars expansion I own? |
