An obvious observation of the economics of it followed by a defeatest attitude of doing nothing about it. |

Ryzom is dead, hardly anyone plays it. You will be bored to tears. EVE Online has lots of players in one world. Lot's to do. |

Can we at least get a sticky for a month. I think the votes will sway heavily against. It's already moving that way. Or are you afraid of the truth? |

First off, MMORPG.com will never charge money to use this site because a majority of participants will never pay, not even 1 cent. The admin knows if the traffic drops, so do the advertising rates and the ads themselves, so those that are using this as an argument against banning gold selling ads have nothing to fear. No one has proven that removing these 2-3 current ads, would mean this site would not still be profitable. If anyone has paid attention, you would notice the absence of ads for both WOW and Vanguard on this site. Both these games have staunch policies against gold selling and have spoken publicly about it. Perhaps if MMORPG.com stopped promoting gold selling and power leveling, they could pick up ads for these games. I think it's significant that many game developers have asked MMORPG.com to stop promoting these activities and supports the members who don't want it either. I would like to see the link to the previous poll results that was mentioned. No one said what the final vote outcome declared. |
