Where is this taking place at? Order was stomping us last nite. We didn't outnumber them. It was about equal. And they made a good accounting of themselves. I will agree that the removed classes need to be put back in. I would love to see the Knight put in. Would put me back on the Order side. I tried the WP and loved it but I was no good in utilising that character to it's fullest potential. The Chosen seemed to fit perfectly with my play style. Tried the Marauder but I couldn't get into that character either. 1000 vs. 10? What pill you taking? Send me some. :) |

Not the best game I've ever played but it really is fun and entertaining. SWG at launch was my best game in my opinion. WoW was fun at first but dwindled fast. This one is keeping me interested. PvP changed my outlook on gaming as a whole...and this game changed that for me. Which is a good thing. |

I hear this about every game I've played. People will always find a way to level up faster so they can keep up with the Jones' or they already are the Jones'. This is actually the second game where leveling did not feel like a priority for me. SWG was the first. I actually read the quests and I don't grab hordes of quests then head out in a rush to complete them. Maybe that's why I'm only level 14 right now and have been playing from release date. I notice new names every day in the areas I'm playing in because most of the people have advanced and moved on. Enjoy the trip instead of speeding through it. |

I have found that Warhammer Alliance is a good place to communicate. I am currently on Avelorn server as a Chaos Chosen. Also looking for a good guild to get in. Not looking for freebies but rather new friends and good times. Named Kronn. |

Well, WAR is the first MMORPG I really got into PvP'ing with. SWG I did but that had a different feel to it and I didn't do that too much. The first time I was involved in RvR play I did panic and ended up getting stomped even faster. Now, I'm not that good but I don't panic. And I do have a number of kills to my name. I tried PvP in other games, namely WoW and gave up on it...I didn't have the gear to compete. WAR makes it fun and I didn't realize how much I've been missing out on. Now I only get impatient to hurry up and get back into the fray....and no more losing my cool. |

Attitude? I don't see an attitude. I think the problem comes down to not having a central forum that they pay attention to. I know about Warhammer Alliance but do they watch this constantly? Are forums a good way to stay in touch with the community? Or is it a place for people to whine and complain? Maybe a document with requests for fixes and/or ideas from the community at log-in. That way you get something from the whole community. Just some ideas. I myself like to RvR and PVE. All the good armor I have found has come from PVE drops or from the Auction. PQ's are a challenge at part 2 and impossible at part 3 when alone. JMHO. |

I actually loved AoC. The combat system was cool. What killed it for me was the lag and the sieges. And the linear type of play. No real exploring away from designated travel areas. Other than that, I loved it. I don't know if they can fix that or even if they want to. If they did, I'd be back in a heartbeat. |

I think it would be a bad decision to copy the WoW format in hopes of grabbing a huge number of subscribers. WoW worked because of the gamer knowledge of Warcraft and the success of the past Warcraft titles. Would I be wrong in assuming that a huge number of WoW gamers are those who never played MMORPG's before until WoW? They came because of Warcraft? Too many games come out these days with huge numbers of gamers for the first few months until the next one comes out. Only the faithful few remain. I think these new MMORPG games need to reach out for the niche department. Design it to keep the niche crowd in and happy. The same old thing will only keep the numbers for a few months...hopefully enough time to recoup design costs. WoW is successful but they are caught in a never-ending circle. Release more land mass and raise the level cap to keep people happy. To remain successful, they will have to continue this spiral until WoW2...where it all begins again. That's why I'm in the sandbox game crowd. I want to advance my character the way I see fit and have the opportunities to do what I want to do. Make a name for myself. In the early days of SWG, on my server (Naritus) there were the crafters everyone knew about and lined up for products. There was the idjit who went around the cantinas poisoning people. Sure, made people mad, but he made a name for himself. People wanted him dead. The hunting parties went out to find him. I don't hold no hope that BioWare will create the sandbox game. I don't think any company has learned their lessons yet. At least not until it was too late. |

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the replies. It was probably the potions. I ran my mouse over all the bushes laying around and didn't see anything. I had potions, too but they were cheapo kinds. Thanks for the advice, too. Hehe. Yes, I love the squishy mages also.:) |

Maybe I'm missing something but I need some help facing the High Elf Swordmasters. Last night my Chaos Chosen got whooped twice from a lvl 8 Swordmaster. I'm a level 11 Chaos Chosen. I had him near death and then noticed his health bar returning to full health faster than I could beat it down. I didn't notice any healer hiding somewhere, though it was dense terrain around and it is possible. I even hit him with that special attack that decreases his armor like 220+ points. I'm not calling nerf...I know I'm missing something or I'm fighting him totally wrong.jj Any help or advice would be helpful. Do they have some sort of buff that draws my health away and replenishes theirs? |

AoC is a fun game. I do love the combat animations and the style of combat. But, I do love WAR also. Alot of imagination? I think it's something to say when a game sparks your imagination. Which WAR does for me, too. To each their own...right? |

Any guilds on the Avelorn server looking for a dedicated Chaos Chosen? I'm a big Warhammer Fantasy Battles/Warhammer 40k freak looking for likeminded guild. Could anyone from this server post their guild? Order and Destruction to help people out. |

Bug filled? Sorry guys, I don't see that. Imbalance? Perhaps, but I am seeing people getting stomped and doing the stomping of all classes. Depends on the gamers grasp of battle and how well he or she understands their class. Healer standing up to a tank? I don't think so. Ranged vs. melee? I see ranged whooping peoples behinds if they don't close on them. But, if they do happen to close (because the range type is just standing there) yeah, they get whooped. My only main concern at this time is the chat...and maybe add some crafting instructions in the Lore Book. I have salvaging and I am dumb...I can't figure out what to do with those little wisp looking things I get out of stuff. hehe. But, in regards to all the people complaining, I pity all game devs of every game. People get outta hand real quick. But, I've seen the same things on all the games I've played....and I've been a gamer for a long butt time. It seems peoples patience has worn out. At least these devs have been forthright with us. Seems that hasn't paid off, either. So why should any dev be honest with anybody anymore? It doesn't pay. They get stomped if they do or don't. |

I got out of it that the cities are not gone for good but rather the cut classes rate first before that along with other glitches and bugs. My only complaint was not seeing anything on improved chat. Of course, that question wasn't asked either. I agree about the RvR stuff. I've had times where my Chaos Chosen gets stomped and other times, I'm doing the stomping. Of course, I've had to change my play style. I took Chaos Chosen to heart and just rushed into battle maiming, killing and destroying. I try to be more of a team player now. But, getting a good defense set up or a good retaliatory strike going really needs a good chat system. I'm not talking about the scenarios but rather the RvR areas in the zones. We were getting stomped last night a few steps away from the war camp...the war camp was full of potential reinforcements. I had to /shout to get some help. Overall, I'm loving the game. Granted, I'm only rank 9 but so far so good except for a few things. |

Sad really. A constant reminder of the old days. I think they should have kept player housing restricted to within a certain radius of main cities. Or made the guild cities underground complexes. Or even allow players to live in Jabba's palace or Nym's city. Something to keep people around mission sites. I remember when everyone was doing the Jabba missions. Once they all ran them, the place was deserted. Nothing to keep the players around. |

I do agree that they need a type of zone chat or something. Quitting over it? No, that isn't a reason to quit for me. Had some Order Witch Hunter ambushing people real close to one of the war camps last nite and had to do a /shout to let people know. If we had a region chat for Order/Destruction it would have been a lot better. That would take care of alot of grouping issues I believe. Other than that, I'm still having a blast...I don't feel alone in the game because of all the people I see and talk with. If your on Avelorn, give Kronn a yell. I'm always willing to help anyone out. Destruction Chaos Chosen.
Edit to add: Wartywarlock, I didn't even think of that. I will do that tonight. |

I will be subbing. I will be continuing the game play. I don't care what people say about it. I don't care about the other games which I have already tried. I like this game and am willing to pay to play. That's all that matters in the end. It's my money and my time. |

Yes, it is a pvp oriented game. But, no rpg? Sorry, I don't see that. Especially around the people I've seen. At first it was a little silent in game but I didn't care because I was trying to figure everything out. Now, I notice people speaking out more and not with useless tells but rather in-game speech. Taunts to the enemy, in-character talk back and forth. I actually notice this more now than in any other game I've played except SWG in the early days. I used to not be much into pvp since the early days of SWG but this game has me into the thick of it. I don't care if I get beat or massacred. It's fun regardless. It will take me a bit to get used to the rvr/pvp but it's just another aspect of the game. |
