well, both the OP and Aion fambois are silly.

after seeing the gameplay video (http://videos.curse.com/details/1376/)
I understood I don't even wanna spend my time on Aion's trial (if there would be any)

nah, I thinks Conan will beat Bloodymare hands down.

gore and maturity is nice, but korean play-style (aka do the same thing 1000 times to get a better knife, and to get nice sword, kill 100000 boars :) - imho it's not for us, europeans (and those overseas :) :)

the Nightmare time idea is rather cool
and if it'll be not too much grindfest
and free-to-play, I;ll give it a try...

ok, I understood about level requirements, and ofc it's stupid...

If you're Orc or Troll or even Tauren - you get to RFC just in time for it to still be available thru LFG search.

Blood Elves (who done all quests in Ghostlands) will never see Ragefire Chasm in that list - and it's really annoying, cos' on of the 4 components for Blood Ranseur is deep inside of that instance...

I agree with level requirements for Meeting Stones,
just (imho) putting level requirements on LFG matchmakin system is way too stupid :(

WoW has non-linear multiple path leveled quests path. and not seeing local dungeon in the list only because you got to that region too late - yukk, it sucks... :(

While others low-level (20+) dungeons are in list (BFD, SFK, WC, etc...)
there's no Ragefire Chasm in that list, so one have to manually join the LFG channel and spam, spam, spam :(

Why ? does anyone else thinks it's not a way it's supposed be ?

Not much to add to this you hit it right on nail there, its a boring solo game, with nice grafics and sometimes you see peeps on a station but it 100% solo with all instance almost look same a boring subway crawler nothing more.
And this game even dont belong here on mmorpg.com.
Last past years mmorpg.com staff see online and they add to there list bah:(
Cant believe these are same guys that made diablo 2 lol.
And when your a player who realy dont want any chellenge, go play this one its super easy to play!

well, it's like Dungeon Runners, only better :)
the only thing I can say about that Diablo-clone -

repetitiveness sucks :(

IF they did model London city & subway (not randomly generated levels)
and made coop-play REWARDING, then it'll become MMORPG...

I'm happy with the way it is though (free-to-play) - it makes my day when I wanna play shooter :)

I agree with the OP. Although I really liked playing the game in Beta the one thing that I found very flawed was the aspect of having lower tier abilities that get replaced. I kept finding myself making characters that wouldn't pick ANY abilities so that I could spend points at a later level. How dumb of a design is that? Like the OP said, why even have those lower tier abilities to begin with? If people are just going to bypass them and save their points for later levels, just don't even bother making lower tier abilities making all characters skilless until level 50 and dumping a bunch of points on them. How boring would that be to develop a character?
Or better yet, make lower tier abilities that feed INTO the higher tier abilities so that they aren't a waste. Synergy is good.

100% agree with ya. lower class armor skills are useless.
thanks to patch 1.3 we got respec, but it feels like too little, too late

the whole idea of Lineage-like profession tree plus Clone idea for respecs was a fresh one, but due to the repetitiveness of quests (kill 200 more Thrax on main char, 2nd clone, 3rd clone and 4th clone, rinse, repeat... - more tiers == more clones == more repetitiveness :(

IF only they had time to do 4 start locations for tier 3 proffs :sigh:

the only bad thing about "Journey to the North" buff is that it's not attributes buff up to 12 for weapon, buff to 9 for foci and buff to 9 for spells attr in current build.

it's hardcoded 12-9-9 and ZERO-ZERO-ZERO-ZERO on other attributes.

so some sub-level20 characters are not really "buffed" - they're punished for having non-standard attr. layout and skill build :)

but the event itself (lockpicks drop rate, dungeon chests drop rate, 3x exp for mainline EoTN quests) is rather good :)

17" HD displays (1920x1200) are not good for gaming, as OP said.

it's nice for HDTV, but it literally burn you
videocard if you don't use Notebook coolers

Edit: btw, I would prefer Acer Aspire 7520G-702G32Mi to Dell Inspiron 1720

or even Acer TravelMate 7720G-302G25Mi - with Radeon HD 2400 :)

So if he had like 20 resistance it turns to be -20.
And if he had 0 resistance... ability just won`t do anything. Same goes for guns with Reduse <> resistance ability. If the resistance is 0 it will do the normal damage.

hmm, that makes sense :)

huge thanks :)

there's no EXP stealing - EXP is shared.
AFAIK it's damage done goes into calculation

thus comes another question - Specialists -
by repairing others armor and healing them - you will earn less EXP ?

or the amount of repairs/heals - counts towards EXP ???

lol - too many questions. no answers. as usual :(

If I'm not mistaken, after hexing (sorry gor GW term :)
foe with Sonic POlarity Field,
I should hit him with Sonic Rifle/Shotgun ? right ?

I know, question does sound silly, but so far I haven't noticed
the change in damage numbers (and the combat log does not says
anything indicating armor bypassing or smthing like that.. )

so, I'm confused... -

it seems logical that 5th level of Polarity Field is Physical -
as physical dmg is the most common in TR,
but still I wonder - DOES it work ? (i.e. is that feature already
implemented - as we all know that TR is in "pay-to-test" beta state :))

the armor types are too similar looking imho,
there's no telling "or it's a biotechnician, and here goes guardian"

so to buy armor that looks like you want - you'll have to try
"buy @ vendor, relogin, buy again" method.

then use crafting station to add mods to armor...

but, imho the one and only way to differ in TR- it's custom dyes.
btw recipes for dyes has good drop rate

thanks!

there're instances of the worlds (read GW districts)
- they follow usual MMORPG rules - boss camping, etc...

hopefully there's no ninja looting and kill stealing,
and waiting for the boss who drops quest item to spawn,
it's better to join squad os the quest will be shared
and everyone will get it's copy of the item...

also there are special mission areas (called instances)
- they are INSTANCED (in terms of GW)
- so you gota get a squad before you go in...

my Beta Tester Grave Period will end on Nov 27th.

and I still haven't picked up the box at retailer.

Q1: if I apply game key after Nov 27th - will I lose my chars ?

Q2: should I ever buy HG: L ??? (kk, just kidding :)

btw I miss the ealiest unlock packs
- when they were class-based, not for whole campaign...

just because hardcore GW fans already have all Proph & Factions skills for their favourite proffessions unlocked...

but Anet (or NCSoft - dunno) quickly changed the rules and the class-based unlocks were gone and replaced with Proph. PVP Edition, Factions PVP Edition and Nightfall PVP Edition... :(

not enough hardcore ???
visit the frontline ...
or clean some instances ...

comparing with WoW TR is much better in terms of variety and all...

imho we should wait until "free month" will pass

so the people who WILL pay the sub will pay,
the rest of them (who will see the most of game content btw)
will cancel the sub.

and then - most of them will reconsider their scores
and TR will get what it deserves...

http://tabularasa.wikia.com/wiki/Class

For additional flexibility, and in order to allow the player to test the different classes freely, the game allows the player clone a character.

As of the patch on 8/21/2007, a player may only clone if they have a clone point, i.e. at the end of levels 4,14 and 29 when tier selection is available.
This means a player can clone his character before he chooses a class, allowing the player to experience both classes without starting a fresh character.

Clone points can be earned in two ways
At the end of level 4, 14 and 29 you will earn a clone point

Complete ToO(Targets of Opportunity) quests to earn a clone point

When you clone, the resultant clone will share the same attributes as the original (Body/Mind/Spirit)

However, the clone will have all skill points refunded which could provide a way to do skill resets

Your clone will share all completed quests and objectives with the original. If your ToO quest is 90% completed, your clone also will have it 90% completed

However, your clone will not have any quests active, and must retake the quests.

Your clone will be created without any money, weapons or gear so please keep that in mind when cloning.

However, your clone will share the same storage account.

ofc it's not Diablo.
and it's not really multiplayer :(

but it has nice atmosphere (after you've read
the Hellgate: London - Exodus by Mel Odom)
and an almost forgotten feeling of hack'n'slash :)

but does it really worth to buy sub ??? dunno :(

I prefer Tabula Rasa sub :) - more 'active' game imho :)
