Normally bonuses like that come from pre-ordering. Generally you don't have to pay the full price of a game before being able to play the game... 60$ that's expensive compared to other major mmorpg.

How many more combat changes ? I played that game at release and actually liked it. The gameplay was different from every other game i played. I quit after 2 months to play another game. 2 months ago i went back to check the Combat Uprade, found out that everything on my main character has become useless, tried to upgrade equipements, weapons, armors to met new standard but failed miserably. I quit within a few days. Now SOE is doing it again ? Another combat upgrade ? Give me a break, you cannot change the gameplay of a game every 6 months like that. You are telling all your players .. "You know we don't give shit about what you have done with your char, now just start over" Now what is it going to be ? They gonna turn the game into what now ? For how long this time ? Patch Note : February 15, 2008 Combat Upgrade #17 : Time Warp : After some reconsideration and after listening to our 2 remaining player we choose to roll back the game to what it was a launch. |

Just wondering, is Oursurlaert always been laggy like that ? I only been playing for 2 weeks and both week-end it's been hell, 300+ players all the time there, tons of lag. I'm wondering how they can expect trial player to subscribe when most of them get send in this laggy pit after the tutorial.... not a good way to show the game to new players. |

I'm a veteran MMORPG player, i tried most of them since 1998, RYL is probably one of the worst MMORPG i ever tried.... i agree with that review, 4.3 might even be a litttle bit too high for this POS.

The Basic game is free. Just so you know you won't get access to any of the expansions stuff (Notum Wars, Shadowland and Alien Invasion). |

I beta tested many, many games, but this one beat them all, it's the worst by far. I can't see how this game could ever go live even in 40 years, burn it, forget it. Like i said, 10$ this game gets cancelled. |

I'm kinda suprised about how long it took for them to close that game down. When you log at peak time and there is less then 500 players on all the servers you know something is wrong. I can't blame them though, you can't expect a game company to keep a game running with so few peoples in. RIP AC2. |

2 millions sure is nice, but the goal of a MMORPG is to keep peoples. 2 millions bought the game but how many are/will still playing the game 3 months after they bought it ? I personally know 9 peoples (family members, friends, job friends) who bought this game at release just like me, from these 9 peoples i think only 1 still play and that's because this guy is an avid PVP player member of a huge org. All the other have left within 3 months due to boredom. Yes WOW is a fantastic game, but once you reached 60, unless you want to pvp all day long, there is nothing left to do. |

OMG i cant believe that news ! That POS of a game got bought by the devil himself. Now watch that game being turned upside down by SOE. Unique combat system : GONE All the things you like in this game, the fun things : NERFED Major grind added : INCOMING Only positive thing, we would probably be able to cancel the game via a website instead of callling.

So basicly they make you pay for a map editor, make the players create their own content BUT you still have to pay the monthly fee....

Seems to me, after reading all the whining from veteran players that it's mostly related to the fact that you can no longer get buffed to the teeth and go fight mobs that weren't meant to be soloable in the first place. I'm thinking of buying the total experience package and try this game, but before i do, i want to make sure i'm right about my above statement. You can still solo stuff pretty good in that game right ? I could'nt care less about not being able to kill group mob solo anymore. |

I tried the "callback" offer. Want to know what happen ? I un-installed the game within 30 minutes of login back in the game. Why ? Well after playing games like WOW, GW, AO, COH, EVE, etc, etc... playing AC2 on my computer feel like i'm playing it on a 386. I really don't know what they have done to their engine but man compared to today's game (see my example above) the performance i'm getting is pathetic. All the game above run flawlessly on my 3000+ Athlon, 1024 Mo of RAM, 9800 Pro with 256 Mo. I install AC2, not even with the high resolution graphics, running the game on medium setting and i get like 12 fps in dungeons. Maybe Turbine added lots of contents since launch, maybe they fix lots of bugs, but their engine absolutly sucks. I don't know for you, but i can't stand playing a game at 12 fps. Turbine fix your engine, it's not normal that an 2-3 years old engine, with todays computers perform so badly. |
