They're not gonna shut it down just because WAR comes out. They will cluster the servers over and over until there is no more player base and then they'll retire it. Why kill something that still makes them money. I don't think it's costing them much to keep it going, and I'm fairly certain that they're at least breaking even but more then likely they're making money off of it. I think they're holding back on Origins because they want the potential Origins people to at least give WAR a shot instead of going back and playing DAoC. That way they'll at least get a box sale out of it and have the potential of keeping that customer. However if they are dissatisfied for whatever reason a few months down the line Origins will drop and the people that might have left WAR will go to DAoC and the money just keeps on flowing. |

I never bothered with mercs. When it came to getting into places that are locked I just made a weapon called Foundation with that dwarven smith in Neverwinter that has Knock on it. If something is locked all you do is whack it with the flail and the Knock spell goes off and opens that lock as well as other locks within a certain range of it. Other then that, if the DC for Knock was too high I'd just bash the damn thing open with my great ax. The feats for higher crits helps there. As for traps, I had armor that gave me resists to elemental stuff as well as a ring or 2 that would make most of the elemental traps do no damage as well as let me live longer when fighting mages/wizards/casters. The spike traps I'd just avoid with reflex saving throws and I'm usually enraged which gives me a ton of HP so even then they don't really bother me. |

I read the description of vanilla and it fit relatively well except that I dislike vanilla. Vanilla is so... well.. vanilla. I prefer chocolate by a wide margin and would even take strawberry over vanilla. There's a reason why when theres neopolitan ice cream vanilla is the last to go, and it usually goes in the garbage. Perhaps your chi needs tuning? |

Barbarian with Great Cleave, Overwhelming Critical and a Keen weapon is just plain fun to me. I ran around gathered up tons of zombies and proceeded to cleave for about 45 seconds straight. |

Check out Camelot Herald On the right side as you scroll down you can see the various server clusters and the ammount of people on them. After that it's your call. The servers in the clusters are linked and share all zones except housing. |

I'm betting on the misinterpreted "ruler of Earth" due to someone finding all those Chuck Norris jokes floating around the web. "They made Chuck Norris toilet paper but it wouldn't take shit from anybody" is still my favorite one and I'm pretty sure this will be the stuff that confuses future archaeologists when they happen to find someones 2GB flash drive with a screen capture of this forum with this exact post! |
