CPU, RAM, and Graphics Card are the things that will influence gaming the most. Of course, you need to get the appropriate motherboard and power supply to run them. Also make sure you have something larger than 80gig HD. That's exactly what I have and I"m constantly deleting stuff to make space. I'd say get 64 bit XP operating system.

As I said before, I didn't know your budget. But hell, even without a ton of money...

Well...I don't know how much money you had in your budget...but..

• Only 2 Gigs of RAM?
• 8600 instead of 8800?
• AMD and not Intel Quad?
• Only 80 gigs of space on the HD?
• Please tell me you didn't get Vista.

You got a problem with then come out and say it. Flight and flight combat is not a selling point to someone who's been around the MMORPG block. None of his points are. Some people care about graphics, fine that's good. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't, but i'd rather have a nice solid game instead of super graphics. No AoC repeats please.

If it lets you down (however unlikely that is), stick around for Aion or Earthrise.

i don't know how you'll like the graphics on highest settings. I'm just saying when you raise them, they look much better than the bland shit you usually see. Also, I think I remember Hickman or Paul saying that the problem with other devs is that they try to create a whole world instead of a game. But i'm not sure on that.

I've seen screenshots and other footage from higher settings. It looks pretty freakin good compared to the stuff that's generally shown. I'll just have this thread bumped at release.

Footage is from the lowest settings. How many times has this been said?

Then would you care to explain? If you wanted to play this game, you could just go to the folder, delete the file, and get some gametime in. All in about 1 minute.

Sure, I like flying, but I've played other games with that feature, so again, it's not a reason.

That's just as bad. I quit WoW at level 51 because I got tired of doing quests. It's not a reason.

I like Aion's graphics, I really do. In fact, I think the effects from the skills are some of the most amazing I've ever seen. Yet...AoC was just released. What did it prove? Good graphics doesn't equal a good game. It's not a reason.

there is a fix for it dude. check your patcher.log  in funcom/AOC folder/patcher.log. thenyou go to funcom/AOC/RDB folder/ and delete RDBHashIndex.bin.

 

so far that seems to be the big issue everyone is having.  that resets your download and redownload the update. there hopefully you wont cancel. it would be a shame for u to miss a good game. if not, i wish you luck in your adventures elsewhere.

Doesn't seem to me like you want to play the game either way. You're just looking for any reason to quit. I think I did a good job figuring it out.

Lineage 2 private servers.

World of Warcraft private servers.

Some servers are super high rate and killing a single mob can get you like 3-5 levels at once. The second part you are interested in is PKing everyone. These servers are free to use by people. However, the owners need money to keep them running. They offer modified armor and weapons for your money so you can practically become a god. Go get em you sad perv. -_-
