The folks at EverQuest have posted a guide to help new players get from levels 1 to 10.

Near your Guildmaster, you will find a Spell Vendor for your class. The spells available here are basically the same as were available in the Tutorial (though they are grouped by single class, instead of in pairs).

If you're a class that uses spells, you will need to take a slight detour to the Library in the Plane of Knowledge to purchase your spells over level 10. To get there, open your Find Window and click on the Blightfire Moors entry. Follow the path and run through the zone line. Blightfire Moors can be a dangerous place, but with a little bit of awareness, you should cross it without any problems. Keep your eye out for any critters and stay well away from them. If you head straight out, you will pass a signpost and see a path in front of you. Follow that path, staying to the south (heading east) where it forks, until you reach an outpost. On the east side of the outpost, the path continues around a hill. You will eventually come across a stone pedestal with a book on top of it. Click there to be transported to the Plane of Knowledge.

Once in the Plane of Knowledge, use your Find window again and look for your Class spell vendor. Your spells are grouped within level ranges on each vendor. Once you have the ones you need, head back to Crescent Reach.

IGG has posted a new player guide for Voyage Century Online.

We believe many rookies will be at their wits' end figuring out what must be done and how to realize quick character progress at the moment you start playing a MMORPG game. Now, the Voyage Century Online team is making fast progress even easier by tailor-making three progress routes to get you off to a good start.

Ships in VCO usually fall into three main categories, Warship, Raider and Merchant Ship. Warships boast extraordinary performance in naval combat due to the extensive Gun Emplacement they have. Raiders sail at a high speed with the most sailors on board. They are an excellent choice for close combat. Merchant Ships are for trade. When looking at a ship’s health, Merchant Ships have the most HP, Warship second most and Raiders have the least. However, the population of sailors on Raiders is the highest. Warships are staffed by fewer sailors, and Merchant Ships have the fewest. So, depending on your preferred style of play, practical strategies can be worked out for any of these 3 classes of ships.

Progress with Raiders :
1. Buy a new ship from the Shipyard Boss at the dock. Transform this ship into a level 1 Raider with two pieces of wood and two bars of iron with help from the Shipyard Boss.

2. Players can find helpful posts in VCO’s forum guiding them to locate the Level 1 Finding at sea. Just remember to make sure you have enough sailors and supplies on board.

3. The location of the Level 1 Finding will keep flashing. Set sail to the center of the flashing area and send 5 to 10 sailors to discover this Level 1 Finding.

4. After getting control of the Level 1 Finding, players will accumulate much gold which can be used to open most of the European Maps. Then go to the Shipyard in Genoa to transform the current Raider into a level 2 Raider while also tracking the Level 2 Finding. Do not stop repeating this circle until all the Findings at all levels have been found.

5. Using a Raider may require players to have certain naval fighting and navigation skills. Players can even have a go at a Dragon Head Gunboat to improve these required skills.

The Dark Age of Camelot Grab Bag returns this week to answer a variety of questions from the game's players.

Q. Will there be player controlled mounts on Origins?

A. With a sad look on her face the Lady of the Jewels says no: Player controlled mounts will not be available on the new server type. Increases to speed will be provided exclusively by classes with that magical ability on the Origins ruleset.

Q. I would like to know why I receive different timers on the ablative charges for the Medal of Honor, or Asteroth's Ring of Abomination. The timers in the delve say 10 minutes, but the times I receive vary from 6 minutes to 10. What is going on?

A. After taking quite a few moments to duplicate the issue our very own Equalizer says: If you are using timed buffs while suffering from resurrection sickness, the buffs will be affected by the effectiveness penalty from being recently resurrected. This will affect spell buffs as well as buffs cast from the /use abilities of items.

The folks at Tabula Rasa have posted an update on their efforts to bring a new crafting system to Tabula Rasa.

Greetings! Here is another update on our progress with TR's new Crafting System.
A month ago, we posted the details of how we plan to update Crafting in TR. During the development cycle for D12, we accomplished our goals of building the foundation of that new system. When the next D12 iteration goes to PTS, the new system will be up and running and ready for a preview! We'd like to invite you to connect to the Public Test Server and experience it for yourself, and offer your feedback on our progress.

Note that this system is NOT complete and it is NOT scheduled to be published to the live game with D12. We will be using our time during D13 to accomplish some important development tasks with the intention of previewing a polished, ready-for-primetime version of the system on Public Test, and publishing that system to live with D13.

Cryptic Studios has released the first tidbit of lore detailing some of the significant events in the Star Trek universe after the events of Nemesis and before your story in Star Trek Online begins.

Following the death of Praetor Shinzon at the Battle of Bassen Rift, the Romulan government fell into disarray. Tal'aura, one of the few remaining members of the Romulan Senate and a former ally of Shinzon, declares herself the new Praetor, supported by Fleet Commander Tomalak as the new leader of the Imperial Defense Force.

However, Tal'aura's leadership is opposed by Commander Donatra, who with the support of Commander Suran and former Admiral Braeg retains control of the majority of the Fifth and Third fleets. Any hope of a reconciliation between the two sides ends after the execution of Braeg, and Donatra vows never to accept Tal'aura's rule.

Donatra's rebellion is not Tal'aura's only concern. The Remans, led by General Xiomek of the Reman Kepeszuk Battalion, demand control of either a continent on Romulus or a planet with sufficient natural resources to maintain self-sufficient settlements as reparations for hundreds of years of slavery and exploitation. In response, Tel'aura cuts shipments of food and needed supplies to Remus and commands Tomalak to blockade the planet.

The folks at EverQuest II have revealed details about Guild Halls and territories.

Edicts have been issued from both the Throne of Lucan and the counsels of Antonia! In these times of uncertainty both leaders realize they need to garner the support of the powerful guilds in their cities as well as create a barrier of protection for the coastlines. The call has gone out that the previously uninhabited islands that lay just a few hundred yards out to the west of Antonica and east of the Commonlands can now be purchased by qualified guilds and built up into guild hall territories. These new halls will serve the dual purpose as headquarters of the powerful city guilds as well as a line of defense from coastal invasion.
