some of you guys talk about this game like its stability and playability is like vanguards was at launch, and that is coming from a "Vanboi" who played Beta 2 til 7 months after launch.

Am I one of the only people who is playing it on all highest graphical settings and getting 45+ FPS at all times except in Old Tarantia at the gorgeous docks when it dips down to the high twenties and only sometimes? Hell in dungeons I get 90-120FPS, the game has only crashed 3-4 times for me and all times I was alt-tabbed and web browsing and then the game crashed, I am in love with the game, I see it has problems with some quests, some dungeons, and crafting but as of now I am having endless fun. I love the combat engine, I love the gorgeous immersion the graphics create, I love the old-school style PVP that reminds me of UO. I love pretty much everything about the game.

Was about to pre-order my copy at buy.com due to them using google checkout, and having the collectors edition in stock. - Nowhere on the site does it mention the pre-launch start being emailed like it does on other sites. Can anyone confirm if they do or do not offer this pre-order bonus?

Honestly, yes it is worth playing at the moment.

I was one of the vanbois that played since early closed beta, played the first 4 months of launch and loved the time I had playing it but gave up as it turned out to not have the issues addressed in time, and lost so many players.

The current status of the game is like how it should have been at launch, it runs incredible - I have a very power rig but the first 5 screenies in the user gallery are taken by me. The game never even chokes for me, rarely any bugs, amazing dungeon set ups great stuff.

play it for 5 minutes and come up with this? or perhaps just dismiss it because of it being very under the radar with hype.

The ability to customize and upgrade any armor, weapon or jewelry is fuckin sick or deconstruct them for xeons to upgrade other pieces.

I'm a vanguard vet, played since closed beta... Watched the game go through many phases, played hardcore for 5-6 months at launch during what most remember as the disaster stage of the game. It still remains the best MMORPG experience I've ever had.

I'm re-patching now to hang with my old guildies and run APW, not to mention my video card upgrade will help... used to run nearly on max with my X1900, upgraded to the Geforce 8800 GT OC.

Stormhaven guild is a real tight community with a very large playerbase spread out upon mmorpgs. I've been with these people every-night for ages. The teamspeak social interaction is more than enough to keep me in the game, its different finding groups on your own and doing quests... then playing with a large group of people you really consider buddies, as we chat away about the game, crack jokes, finish quests, Its a different feeling that can keep you in any game I think.

Okay, so... buy the damn game?

I played the trail 2 nights ago, got to level 10. 5 minutes after finding out I couldn't leave the space station, I bought the SOE digital download version, and WOOSH I'm having a ball. (can't wait to hit up the pvp space combat with my guildies!)

The game is in great shape, especially impressive how fun the combat system is, and general game-play mechanics. When you compare the combat to WoW, Vanguard, EQII, LOTR and the newer MMO's, it destroys them (I am a Vanboi btw). Very fun, action packed while also skill based and strategic.

Stop being a big baby, MMO trials are often limited by level, you get a free month when you purchase the game anyway.. Unless your some geeky teenager, you can easily afford the 29.99 for the digital download, or the full package of expansions/original for 19.99 at bestbuy.

People like you really piss me off, I mean sure they could have extended the trial... but do you really think it is going to turn THAT many people off, that they got to try a game for fucking FREE for 10 levels, and can make unlimited characters to try all the classes, and races and see what they like before buying it?

I played a little over a year ago at first, dug it and lost interest within the free month.

Now after playing the fae trial a few weeks ago I decided to buy it and love it tons!

After  you create your first character, log out and make a second character, every race will be open to you.

I'd say One Race, but I wouldn't mind too much about One Character per server - This game seems to be the unnoficial sequel to Ultima Online, and with a PVP / ganking oriented game its too easy with many characters of different races to take sides and share information.

the website is down and when I open the game up it says cannot connect to server, I had been playing for 2 weeks prior, does anybody know what currently is going on?
