In beta it is just more of the same...The only new thing I like is the hero class, but everything else thats new is trivial (the ability to change hairstyles is kinda cool though >_>)

But yeah, more of the same...And I'm tired of it.

the question is not if you could, but if you should. AoC was rated best game here after release but is now at rank 74. basically any game you have ever heard of gets a better user rating. and not just on this site here.

vanguard seems to have improved a bit, but AoC is really something new: read the box and you will find that 90% of all things advertized on the retail box is not in the game.

I know it is hard to believe, but I have played it in beta and from day one and they were such good liars that even I believed them when they said "thing X is tested internally in beta and will be in release for sure". well, it was not.

no sieging,

no rewards in PvP,

no risk in PvP,

no content above level 50 (up to level 80).

no endgame.

players can one-shot eachother with gemstacking. (you are dead, or you can kill with one click)

no economy

 

and after most people left, no community.

at some servers, there are only 20 people or so online in primetime.

 

the graphics are the best I have ever seen in any game, including crysis. so if you are rich and can afford wasting 50 bucks for eye candy, then do it.

if you want to play a game then don't.

And yes you are exaggerating, there is sieging, there is an economy, The rewards/risk will be available soon in pvP, there is an end-game too, albeit not very large yet.

There's zoning between tiers and some dungeons....There is no zone instancing, or anything like AoC has.

Warhammer. The game world's large and the PVE is great. Lots to explore in a world that's got huge amounts of lore to draw from.
