Character creation is actually really important to alot of people, these days. I'm one of them. I don't wanna look like a clone, and having the ability to make your characters represent your ideas within the game is what makes it important to me.

Interesting review, I subscribed a while ago and I like the game, it does need some work still, though. I can't wait for the character model re-vamp, because most of the characters look awkward (except the smaller ones.)  But SOE has made great progress from what it used to be, I do believe that Vanguard has a solid future if they do promote it after these milestones are completed.

Well the beta has been going along very smoothely apparently, so I don't think we'll see too much of a problem at launch. :D

Wouldn't surprise me if it did meet the March release, they have been working on it for a looong time, either way....March - August isn't a long wait.

But to the OP, I totally understand your concerns, as I'm sure alot of people do. But I NCsoft has been aiming to add a challenge to this game, without it being too much to handle, and a game where the casual player, and the hard-core player can feel like they fit in somewhere in the same game. I played FFXI for a  year, and it's a good game, but I hated how grouping was so mandatory for practically anything above level 10. Aion focuses on player skill, and action oriented combat, vs the "I'm going to stand here and click the same 3 skills all day." that WoW has. I played WoW ever since it came out, and I do think it's a good game, probably over-all the best for new gamers to start off with, I too believe the genre needs to move on past it, and have new ideas...So far Aion is one of the new ones in development where I see that...

Gotta buy a whole new set if you wanna start a different account. Other than that, it's generally the same as it was before, except now you can level alts 2x faster.

Correct, Antonia Bayle is the most populated server. Crushbone, and Najena are pretty loaded too (They are pure pve servers, though) so your best bet is AB.
