Err this Topic is getting really....Well off Topic :P....

Lineage 2 takes the traditional fantasy, while obviously a bit over the top...

Aion is a bit more Dream-Like..something different....

I tend to perfer an anime inspired character design AS LONG AS it's done well..Asian Developers have kind of carved themselves into a hole with their past obsession with long ridiculous grinds, lack of a story, and such...This game is taking the artistic style...(cosmeticaly) And the game mechanics of a western built game....And that's why I really want to try it out.

As for dissing games such as WoW (While I think WoW is boring, anymore.) And LOTRO (Which I play and actually enjoy...Alot...) Let's try and save that for another topic, please :). It's all about what somebody perfers in a game. The developers of this game have paid an immense amount of attention to detail with Aion. Everything from asthetics, to Lore....And they communicate it in-game, so you take part in what's taking place, which I appreciate. I think it would be wise to do research on the game, and maybe even try it when it's available in some form, before dissing it entirely. :) That's just my 2 cents.

The population isn't low. At all.

Um...I think this game is okay, the UI is terrible and they should definantly update some of the mechanics...but to stop making expansions when it's still a well populated game would be retarded.....Making a new Final Fantasy MMO would be awesome, though! :D

This will not be a grind-fest.. It'll have alot of quests, and be story driven. Tons of exploration, as well...

I like Elves, Humans and Halflings...

There's ALOT of players of all levels, always new people coming in...I've never had trouble finding a group when I level a new character.

They've added *alot* of content, there are new dungeons......

They have patched alot of stuff, fixed alot of bugs, added alot of new quests, added new areas...

There is a link to the patch notes (Seperated in to 4 parts, as well as the captain and hunter reviews, under them.) So you can see a what they've done with this one content update, alone. :)

Population has increased dramaticaly, yes. The servers (both) were on High population when  I logged on yesterday evening.

Character customization is a heck of alot better than previous "Asian Games", and you can change your appearance in-game, as well as have further options than what is initially at character creation.

I've been able to enjoy the game at all levels, so far....

definantly helps if you make the window txt file...or you can edit your option ini file and where it says Window = 0, replace the 0 with a 1.

This game is nothing line Lineage 2.

It's WASD, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was an Option to do both.

Well the best way to find out is test it out. Maybe someone has a buddy key for you. :)

Also the new update has a major performance improvement...so you probably (if you scale your settings right) will be able to play fine.

Indeed, please let us know! The Update seems like it would make a huge impact on how good the game is...

And i think it's so funny that you're using your buddy key! I think it would be a good idea for them to have a Referral System, like Lord of the Rings Online, and World of Warcraft....to get the community in, again...as well as find new additions to the player base.. :) You should suggest it to them, if they have a form for that.

The game seems to be going in the right direction, I wish they hadn't released it when they did...

Hmm...I've thought about trying this game....I think SOE should include a Referral system. :)
