I agree with you, on alot of your points, and the whole "elves and dwarves" thing, while fun, is too typical. It would be fine to have that, but I wish MMO developers would get creative and also add unique races to their games, more often.

Brandywine is very very populated, too.

I still think a traditional subscription method is better for this genre.

Subscription is prerferable.

The game isn't gonna be like Lineage 2, really. Alot more immersive world, and the leveling process will be similar to something between WoW's and Lotro's.  It's gonna have a ton of solo and group content, etc..go to aionsource.com or aionglobal and read about it :D

The graphics are better than what I've seen in modern MMOGs.

Let's hope so...I know every class in each race/army will have some unique selections, but as to how many options there will actually be, I don't know. Hopefully alot.

I like LOTRO alot...With the update today (book 12) they are adding even more cool features. But PvP is kinda weird in this game! I definantly think they should ramp it up, and also add Arena's...I think it has the potential to have a really good Arena system.

Some parts are cute, but I never think it's overly cute, otherwise I wouldn't play it, most likely! I think they've done an excellent job portraying Middle Earth. Some areas are light and happier, while others are really dark and creepy. Best music in an MMO to date, as well.

May as well try it out again, especially when the new update comes along!

And yes, the game is solo friendly, I don't know where anyone would get the idea it isn't...But there are also quite a bit of group oriented things as well....

Lord of the Rings is extremely populated, it's the 2nd largest subscriber rate in the genre. If you wanna play it safe though you should join the Brandywine server.. : )

I'll never understand why people think these kinds of games should be entirely free.

In response to the origional poster, I see your point, but at the same time when you mention Blizzard doing what they want, yes..I suppose they do, even if it takes them half a year to get a small content patch out, and are somehow surviving off 1 expansion in over 3 years.

I'm a big MMO fan, and a Lord of the Rings/Hobbit fan too. And Turbine in my opinion has handled this title wonderfully....And I can't really think of any recent games that have really offered what this one does!
