Money talks.

With all the cash we make in adverts from LORTO we were also able to buy all the members with more than 300 posts a high quality tin-foil hat for Christmas....I see you received yours a bit early.

I can't wait till this kid grows up and tries to use some more of his WoW inspired skills to get job only to find out  using "Mind Control" is not in his RL talent list.

In case none of you speak Chinese I can make up give you a rough translation:

"This is a video of Dark and Light. We have partnered with NP Cube to develop with truly massive MMO project and bring an amazing MMO to the fans. Our partnership with NP Cube was inevitable since we both share similar business practices, namely the complete disregard for Quality Assurance, community support and rightful ownership of intellectual property. We feel this is a match made in Heaven. Thank you."

Where else in the world can you sell off someone else's work as your own and get paid for it.?

Here is a fun idea, what if you could rename any player to anything you want?  In other words, if you ran into somebody named God Hater or something, and you were offended, you could right click on them and choose 'rename'.  Then type in any name for this player you want.  This system is used in some non-game chat software.

From then on you would see that name over their character, and that name if they send you a message, and when you send to that name the game automatically sends to the player.  Everyone else will still see the original name (unless they too rename the player).

Now, when you are offended, you can fix the problem yourself.  Players who aren't offended can leave them as they are.   Another nice feature, you can change a long name to something short and easy to type.   Your only limit would be that you can't rename someone to the same alternate name you used on another player.

Of course, in voice chat you might have a little difficulty if you renamed someone Bonehead and use that to refer to them...

Great idea! I'll add it to The GAME feature list immediately!

Wel... I like the thought

The GAME™ will have this feature! It is currently in the Pre-Beta Stage of Alpha Testing.

I believe you mean Funcom right?

Either way the article was definately not a bash against AoC. I plan on playing on some kind of PvP server when it comes out, but it seems to me they have lost track of what really makes their game attractive to mature gamers if indeed that is their target audience. As much as I enjoy full frontal I'd rather they focus on creating a gritty mirror of Howard's world.

Roma Victor and realistic are two words that should NEVER be used in the same sentence.

The graphics are so great they won runner up in last years MMOWTF Awards...Bet you they challenge DnL again this year.

Not much we can do for the guy besides nominate him for a Darwin Award. I wonder at what point he realized he wasn't going to survive? Probably toward the end  he was hoping RL didn't have such a harsh death penalty.

An interesting announcement considering all the PR work that went into telling folks that Sony was just a publisher when it was plain that there was only enough rope to hang themselves...Now that the wizard behind the curtain is revealed, It will be interesting to see what direction the development takes.

Well I've only logged twenty something hours on FFXII since I bought it and I probably have topped 80 hours in Space Empires 4 and 5 in the last two weeks...go figure.

Sure we didn't have a ghost writer this week?

I was a ghost for Halloween. Does that count?
