Creativeheads also deal with the creative director roles... Although short of that I am sure that some indie people you could shoot some ideas to.. Although, I do not know as much about that. |

If you were already a qualified game programmer which I am assuming that you are not. (No offense but looking for guidance means you have creative and not programming skills, yet anyways) Here is what I would do. I would start by looking at some grants for college since I am going to assume that you aren't fluent in many programming languages, and check out Full Sail... Once you give them a look over they have a pretty good set of classes for your dream... You go there and really learn instead of bashing beer cans.
Then you get out and get to look for a job.. a good place to go for this would be Creativeheads.net website which lists companies and what they look for. In your spare time or with some co-workers hone your skills and then look for some funding to make an "idea area" to try and market your concept to get some financial backing...
Rest is up to you and a good bit of luck.
I will say this tho, MMORPG's are not a good platform to learn to program games on... They are the toughest bar none games to make... You should start with something simple or you may shatter your dreams when you can't seem to figure out which way to go or what to do... Start small and build a good foundation. |

Shug for me, I found it to be a bit of a generic bore and so I dont play it. That's really about it entertainment value. For me, I found it had little to hold me. So i split. |

Originally posted by zaltar The problem with this is that while it sounds good on paper. It does not work so well in the game itself. For instance, I had a necromancer, I started grouping almost all of the time with a coercer that I used to play WoW with... We level up to around 12 head out to the karanas to do some questing... Every minute or two we are ganked by stealthing groups or twinks that one shot you... There is no leveling through that sanely.
Now, I am all for open PvP... I don't generally get angry at dying, I look for revenge. You will not experience this in the low level pvp at least with EQ2... The twinking is outrageous and it completely ruins a new players experience with the game. Why should I have to contend with tracking twinked gankers that have no chance of losing to me? and continue to do so just so I can outlevel them and still not get vengeance on them because they camp levels with their characters and max out AA at the bottom levels so they get an completely unbalanced advantage?
I should push through this why? It's a completely broken system, needs a strong revamp and in a hurry... but then again, I don't play this game anymore - so meh. |

Jin for me, always like to play the hard hitters, like a lumbering truck coming and as soon as it catches you BAM! Lights out. |

Meh put it off a buncha times and finally registered on the 26th! Guess I am outta luck unless one of my fellow MMORPG's can hook me up with an account if they have multiples... Or they hate the game or refuse to download that much due to any reason and would like to donate their code or account to me.
Forgot to mention if you fall into any of the above - drop me a PM... Me luv you long time. |

Not enough template character customization... Plenty of ways to look but with no gear or anything meaningful to strive for... It's lack luster and repetative. |

SWG Pre-CU had an awesome crafting system and it was and is the best crafting system to date...
Only thing that I think could have made it better was to make harvesting extractors very limiting in the quality of resources that they could pull... |

You ever heard the term: You get more with a kind word and a gun than a kind word alone? |
