I agree it is a ripoff.  But I need to argue cause some of your guys' views are skewed.  It was a beta f2p, this usually brings about the worst of the mmo community.  Once a game goes pay 2 play it weeds out all the free loaders and starts to make it interesting.  I think Gravity knew the game wasn't really that great.  If you looked at thier payment plan, you could play the game for $5 a month.

It does have some interesting stuff in it.  Battle Carts/Gear, a Supreme amount of dancing animations, and revamps to some of RO's systems.  However, to enjoy this stuff you had to suffer through one of the worst grinds in mmo history to get to level 120 where the fun stuff starts happening.

They redid the eyes already to be more humanistic because they listened to people's complaints about them.  However, this isn't suppose to be an ultra-realistic genre.  If they went for realism then it will just be a blah game.  The style is what makes the game interesting; if they didn't then it would just be called a Lineage 2 clone or bland and brown.

They have some interestings features like more indepth quests that force the player to make choices rather then the slew of errand boy quests we see now.

lol nope, I just posted this on the wrong forum.

Ya I am disappointed in the beta; the game doesnt work yet, can't join a room.  But I can make an Army.  Its too bad I have a limited amount of Units or I would have made a 50 Unit Goblin Only Army.

With the graphical detail and the fact it is made by a small company.  I can see it being released in 2010 or later.

There is a key element that has been removed in the rogue class that makes a thief.  You cannot steal; its the essence of what a thief is about.  In DDO you can only make your ritches through Dungeon Crawling, and not by breaking into the Aristocrats house and stealing some of thier stash.

I think this post once again shows that.  The Horde always wins at Battlegrounds.

Some of the new games on the horizon break up or mask the grind using various new methods.  So look forward to those games.  Right now there are only a few grindless games.  There is Guild Wars and Guild Wars: Factions.  Thats all I can think of.

I'm sorry to inform you.  But its griefers like yourself that made it so games with full-pvp are unsuccessful.  Just for your information:  New people don't cry; they just leave.

Learn to be a man and fight someone that requires skill.  Also there are a few full PVP games coming in the future like Fury.

lol I did something funny in Oblivion.  I turned the difficulty settings up all the way; then I turned on a mod to make monster spawns independant of level and monsters spawn in packs.

Damn that was insane.  Like when I had to kill someone in the north country for the syndicate.  There were like 60 wolves all in one pack.  It glitched like hell too because of all the geometry on screen at the same time.

I tried this one thief mod in Oblivion called Anvil Windows, where you can sneak into a house through a window.  It didn't work though, but woulda been cool.

Developers only get a 5 figure salary.

Still I agree, Thieves suck in mmos.  I wanna good thief class.  Been wanting one for a long time.

I've seen the in-game demo of the combat.  It looks like alot of fun and is what drives me towards this game.

I've heard of it a couple years ago, they plan on implementing it late this year.  You should send an email to samsungs customer support about that.

That system has many loopholes.  A Bounty hunter can place a bounty on an AFKer then complete the bounty themself and increase thier reputation.  It gives more reason to gank someone, and makes the game selective PVP which sounds even less fun then FFA pvp.

I agree bounty system is only good in FFA pvp as a deterrent from ganking people.  It adds a realistic consequence from running around being a murderer.

I was thinking of another system you can add to a game that allows for limited FFA pvp.
A person can complete a quest to become a monster until they are killed.  They can be targeted by any player, and they can target any player.  But like any monsters, the guards will attack them if they approach a town.

try playing on an official server.  You get things like tech support and working game clients.

Have you seen the environments of the upcoming games.  Huxley, Ragnarok Online 2, and Age of Conan have simply goergoues environments that blow those graphics out of the water.

Also there is a long way to go until graphics in games have truly hit a limit.  When I can use 50 billion polies in a level; then I would be happy with the graphics.

You can get pretty familiar with the game in the 2 week trial.  It is actually really simplistic.

There is alot of PVP action; more so then most American Based games.

There are bosses that are difficult to take on alone, sometimes 14+ people are needed to take down a boss.  But these boses are free for all, meaning that the 4k other people on the server also can go after the same boss.

They have been adding party dungeons lately that are full of Boss-Strength Monsters.

Ragnarok Online 2, Age of Conan, and The Chronicles of Spellborn will be featuring a skill based PVP system where its more like an FPS, and where you swing determines the damage and hit chance.  But it won't be world PVP.

Im not sure your noticing the trend now.  Lots of new games are having very thurough backstories.  Where before the company used to make a 1 paragraph backstory.  They now have multi-novel length backstories(that they sell the the play for a pnominal fee).

It shouldn't be that rough.  It runs on a heavily modified Unreal 2.0 engine.  So the setting are like

Minimum

2.0 ghz processor

512 mb ramm

Nvidia 5700 or ATI 9200 or better

10 GB hard disk space

Recommended

2.4 ghz processor

1024 mb ram

Video card with Shader 3.0 support

10 GB hard disk space

Sigil seems to be very thurough in making sure they aren't chugging down a system.  There are LODs and MIP maps to help with this; so you can enjoy the 6 mile draw distance.  Also there is seperate in-door levels.
