I just created an account for the forums and went through the process ok, except just waiting for a confirmation activation email, I'll let you know when it comes =)

If you have IRC chat there are mods and devs on there, although not always present, someone might be able to help you.

Server = irc.funcom.com

Port = 6667

Channel : =  #ageofconan

Did you say you had tried pm'ing a forum moderator?

I get through everything fine, but never get the confirm, which is why I cannot post etc. I cannot PM a mod because my account can't post now =\. I tried contacting them through the main site this time though, gonna see what happens there. If it fails i'll try IRC. Thanks for the help, AmazingAvery.

Jesus, still won't work today. Has anyone tried to make a new account since yesterday?  Wondering if this is a problem on my end.

Yeah, like the topic says. Anyone having trouble emailing community@ageofconan.com and stuff? I tried several times and always get an error sent back to me saying it didn't got through with a bunch of code sent back to me. Was thinking it had to do with them moving servers or whatever, but they said it was complete I thought. What a time to change my damn email. Couldn't even make a new account or anything. I cannot get a confirmation email back from them. Bleh.

Guess now it's a waiting game to see if we actually get in - like the last 7 months has been. I wonder if they invited those 150 people already. Kinda lame, I mean, I don't expect us contest winners and every other contest winner to be shown a red carpet and shit, we only got lucky, but I still believe we should be in the first wave of invites to actually download and start. Just my opinion.

Hello? You forgot me, hello. Anyone there FC? Heeeeeeeeeeeeeloo.

They're inviting people to beta and for all we know, closed general could have already started. So we'll get in as you slowly invite people in, yea, but when does general beta actually start.

Before I waste my bandwidth downloading this I have a question - is it point and click or WASD/Arrows/whatever you want keymapping.

1) MySpace sucks and is lame

2) Most of the chicks WoW lured in are E-Sluts

Thank you for caring

It's sad, but I hear this all too often these days. I really don't get how someone could neglect a child like that. The parents should consider themselves lucky they didn't die.

Oh well, now they'll be getting the best wake up call one can get - surprise rape!

I'm not really sure how it's all going to play out, control wise, but I got my trusty n52 to back me up. I suggest people look into one of those or perhaps a gaming controller for the pc.

The blame for this one falls squarely at the desk where the buck should stop. The CEO's office. The empty one in the corner.

More like it falls on the whole Sigil team for creating a failure of a game. Yeah, sure, you can point fingers else where too; like "SOE made them rush it out before it was ready" but the truth is they created a poor game with poor mechanics. This failure was made before it would ever be "finished". The game just sucked.  It's art style, graphics, game engine and everything about it was a failure. There was nothing spectacular about Vanguard. Everything was medicore.

or you could say, the game failed itself, but than wouldn't the creators be at fault for making the game?

I had a good laugh at this guy being so mad at one person.

Anyway, time to move on to another game. What game can we all hype up next?

SWG now has a population of 15 players! Time to re-subscribe! w00t.

I voted as "I am neither loyal nor disloyal."

I use to remain loyal until the very end as I thought that was what one was suppose to do. My first experience with guilds was in SWG. I joined a guild that a friend belonged too and had fun. I thought that's all there was to guilds. You join a guild and now you're a member, until the end.

This mind-set changed when I first played WoW. Which was my second real MMO. Before all of this was Planetside, anyway. Being my first "raid or die" MMO my mind-set changed how I look at guilds. I joined my first guild around Lvl 17 when the game first came out without knowing anything about it at the time or that there was an "end-game"> I joined because like in SWG, I met some cool people and wanted to become a member of a guild with them.

After months of playing and guilds entering MC I quickly realized I wanted to do such things. I already did everything else I found fun. But my guild, was very Casual. This never meant anything to me and I didn't even know there was a difference between guilds. Hardcore and Casual. Well, i'm sure some of you know how the beginning was. Only the leet guilds were doing MC and barely making progress. After some months things soon started to become a little mainstream, but casual guilds still couldn't do it.

I eventually left this guild. I was too bored. I never grouped with them, actually. Maybe once or so a month. I was always with another group of people that shared the same mind-set. I later joined their guild, but felt bad leaving. I stayed friends, but kinda drifted out of touch and went on to a long, long, time of not doing anything. I never got to do those instances until like 5-6 months later. i was a late bloomer.

This guild broke up and people went to the hardcore guilds and I did too after drifting on my own with a couple pals. Of course I'm leaving out all the drama that comes with this. A guild that struggled to the very end, because we wanted to stay together but see end-game. These two guilds were the most fun I never had in an MMO, but lacked one thing which will keep coming back to haunt you. End-game, end-game, end-game.

Bear in mind this was way before guilds started to do MC etc. Before it became a walk in the park and 25 people could do it.

Anyway, I'm tired as hell and dunno why I wrote all this, but thought I had to say one thing... and that is...

Do whatever it is you feel is right. Even if it's leaving behind a guild of friends. I didn't do this on many occasions because of 'friends', but it fucked my fun up a lot and I became aware of an evil thing called 'DRAMA"

The fun left and I felt like I was in drama series on Tv, seriously. I never thought MMOs could be like that.

Fuck drama

Dude. I don't know your mother or how she's like. I can't judge her based on this, but she is your mother. With that said.. it sounds like she just wants the money for other reasons. I'm not saying she doesn't care about you and that she did it only for the money, but you're the one that wrote "My mom seems to think all this moneys hers and it's my duty to give it to her." I didn't.

if I was in your shoes, I would of course help her out with some of the money. Pay some bills, Credit card debt, buy some food. But I would keep the money In my bank under my name. Or someone you can, sad as it sounds, trust more to take care of you with it. It's to help you get back on your feet. Not pay people back. You need that cash to get your life started again. It will help you a lot.

Good luck man.

I'm in agreement with the OP. In-fact, I'm a strong believer Jedi ruined SWG! Well, my enjoyment from it anyway. Anyone else get bored after all your buds back than wouldn't do anything but grind professions? The game just went downhill from there.

Who needs stinking' jedi! Not me.
