Hmmm.  Couple of small questions here;

As I understand it you cannot access the higher tier areas unless you are a high enough level character?
(I don't know as I am not a subscriber - waiting a couple of months to see some real reviews)

 

Have you ever been in a situation where you were totally out-numbered and out-gunned online?
Where everytime you spawned in you just got killed before you could even get your bearings?

yes threatening, because you say whoever mentions vaporware will be reported for trolling.

While i think it MIGHT be vaporware, i do think its more likely going to go the direction of DnL and Mourning, just my gut feeling.

yes, eq2 is my favorite pve mmorpg of all time, really in depth, tons of classes, tons of quests and stories, graphics arent that bad either.i really dig it

use the spam me not addon, works wonders, and i almost never get a gold spammer tell anymore :) and it automatically reports the spammer to a csr

look at the server list...gives you an idea of how many per side. Volkmar is very even, with order owning most of t2 and t3, but expect to wait in queue at times

i am assuming, snce pve (or regular rank levels) only go up to 40, and RR goes up to 80, that theres gonna be a sweet stash of items for rr40-80, would make sense.

Now warhammer will be breaking new ground and placing punkbuster on your PC. Good old punkbuster that caused tons of issues in battlefield and other FPS games. Did it actually stop the hacks and cheats? Nope.

I am assuming this move is an attempt on mythics part to reduce manpower and increase profits. Guess time will tell if this is a good idea.

WL was my first class and trying to get behind a mob was so frustrating I got the bright idea that maybe doing it with a ranged pet class would be better.

bad idea... nothing worse than trying to shoot a mob that is visually 30 feet ahead of you when its actual location is behind you. funny stuff. Then add adds that are also at alternative locations and you have no clue whats where or how far. But heh its a perfect launch and learn to play noob.

Most of the fanboi defenders here really have no clue what its like and it really makes them look like total idiots with some of these responses.

How does it work?

PunkBuster in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning simply looks for anything suspicious that might be indicative of a player attempting to cheat or use exploits. It reports this information to Customer Support, who will then decide after a full investigation whether or not someone is breaking the rules. The most important thing to know is that it cannot do anything automatically and is only there to help our Customer Support create a more enjoyable game environment. It is also important to note that Punkbuster is just one of the tools in our arsenal to use against cheaters. We will continue to do what we do with DAoC and not just rely on Punkbuster. Our plan is that most people will never even know it's there!

So umm..i don't get the problem...it finds something suspicious, reports this to a csr, who will investigate it....
