I think it would be a cool idea to start representing mmorpg.com through guilds. I think it would be fun to actually get together with people in the mmorpg.com community and work to be the top in the different aspects of mmo's. There's a good community here for the most part and it would be cool to actually play with most of these people.

(the idea has probably been brought up, thought I would bring it up again)

Honestly what are the chances of this game actually releasing? On paper, It is in my opinion the best game to date. Is there any hope whatsoever? What kind of info do we have that actually creates hope?

Anyways I thought of a cool idea. (maybe its been posted about before, not sure.) What if we had a mmorpg Ventrilo? I think it would be really cool. We could have tons of different channels like a LFGAME channel, various game channels like WoW, EQ, Warhammer, FFXI etc. So it would be similar to the forum but in a vent form. I have no idea if this would be succesful or work, just a thought though. Feedback welcome.

I think the game has some cool stuff, but my thing is whenever i play it, it seems like I am the only person in the entire game....I feel like I am not getting that key social aspect that an MMO is supposed to bring. The other thing I dislike is you don't have control of how fast you progress.....I am a pretty hard core player when it comes to games, and the fact that I basically just have to sit there for skills to go up sucks. Am I missing a lot?

True, considering the amount of people who absolutely trash this game to the people who worship it. Basically the only way is to try it out yourself. But there are comparable things, and this game has quite a few bugs and polishing needed. The fixes will come though.

Honestly, can we really safely review this game yet? It's been out for one day. This game has a lot of room to progress. If we are honestly going to compare it to WoW which is happening all over, compare it to the first week of WoW. I am not by any means a AoC fanboy, but this is my opinion on the whole topic.

Sorry if someone said this but im lazy to read everything.

Its honestly a simple fix......When you are in combat you cannot change instances, and when you enter an instance you can't be attacked for say...20 sec idk.

I am in the same boat as everyone here, it would be awesome if someone could hook me up. WoW is getting well.....eeya.

I honestly have nothing against WoW, I am pretty open and neutral. I realize WoW is the most popular and a majority would be playing it. But to those who dislike WoW. What are you playing (MMO or not) and why? I am honestly just curious to see what games you play and why you play them. (Try to give a good explanation as to why you play/like it.) Once again. I am not a WoW fan boy, it's honestly a serious question I have.

I have been reading some interviews form bioware and it honestly sounds like a dream come true. They talk a lot about how the game will be very story driven and have meaning. They focused this topic a lot. My concern is this: What if them focusing so much on the story driven aspect of the game affected the actual game-play? They never mentioned much about the PvP aspect nor much detail about the PvE aspect.

First of all sorry if these questions have been answered throughout the forum. My first question is that I was curious if the combat system is fairly in depth with many spell choices and many things making the game more difficult and skilled based. The last thing I want is being able to fill my action bar with 8 spells at end game content. I also heard that there are many hidden walls and that Hyboria is very limited, Is this true? My final and most important question is that I have been hearing that most of this game is instanced. If this is anything like guild wars where basically everything except the cities are instanced then this ruined it for me. Thanks

I am 16 and I put a lot of time into WoW. I don't think it is a big problem unless it is the absolute only thing you do. I think if you do other things and try to keep somewhat active that it's ok to play a lot. I pretty much just sit around with my buddies and play, but I also try to go to the gym as much as possible. Once I get a car, it will cut down my WoW time too. For now I am pretty limited and WoW is the only fun thing to do.
