I don't want a Wow clone in space. I want to be able to find other gamers to crew a ship with and do missions together, and I want living space on board and stuff like the Bridge and a Mess Hall and Engineering and Sick Bay and etc. for crew activities.

I want the combat to be tense and fun but not overly a focus of the game.

I want Risa to be a fun place to go, and I want Earth and perhaps the Moon to have player bases.

I also would like to see a civilian starship. Star Trek is too militaristic for my taste, and a luxury space cruiser would be soooo cool I can't believe it would any trouble to design a small one no bigger than a captain's yacht.

That's my two cents.

I would definately play it, if it had these items present.  I really hope they don't take the lazy way out and produce an Eve type game...

IF THIS IS TRUE.... I will abondon this game. I was hoping for a great Trek game, but it sounds like they just want to make an eve clone.. no thanks!

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the interview I am talking about.

Ooo, ouch! this just went near the bottom of my list.. Makes my decision to support Stargate alot easier.

Very cool aspect.

Titles and enhancements, very cool indeed, so cool it is used in CoV/CoH...read 'badges' and 'enhancements'. It is not an exact copy but close, IMO though, the LOTRO system is not as detailed as the CoX version where enhancements can be combined and improved.

Still a nice system though, just wish devs wouldn't keep presenting these systems as new or innovative.

Yeah your actually right about that as I play COH/V currently.  It is a good system that should be incorporated if it fits in with the genre.  LOTRO seems to incorporate it appropriately.

Thanks for the info.. Not bad, I didn't expect such a well developed game this early.  And Mad Max setting to boot. Interesting..  I will definately be keeping my eye on this.  AoC still #1 however.

They are both going to be real good games....from what I can see now..  everyone will have different tastes, some will love WAR some AoC.  And I'm sure there will be some sort of silly little flame war that will result.

Personally I will try AoC first, I enjoy the mature content of the game, and its interesting combat features. If it disappoints me, I will probably try WAR.

I'm sure it's fine to those that have never played SWG prior to the NGE.... To us Vets that like me started with this game on day 1, it was the death of a game that we devoted countless hours of our lives building a character.  Years of work to be wiped clean for a dumbed down version of a game we loved.

sounds similar on how SWG did their city/base wars in the GCW.

Thx M8, it would really come in handy now since I am off on workmans comp and cant afford to play atm.. family comes first.  After playing this for 2 years, would be nice to get a month free once in awhile. It's a shame they don't do this as a reward to vets...I guess they need to make a living too... *shrug*

Yes it is a good game, I prefer the hero side, with lvl 50's on both.  The pvp is good, nicely balanced, there isn't a class that can't be beat, everyone has a weakness when solo.  When in a group, either side, and the group fights as a unit... that's when the fun begins.

Base raids are interesting, when deciding which Supergroup to join, just make sure they have similar interests.  If you like to pvp, find one that enjoys pvp/base raids. This makes the game much more diverse.

The Devs have done a really good job in making the game better, which seems rare these days in the mmo world, when the focus is nerfing.  When I have written an in game ticket for help; twice I was contacted by a support specialist in game within 10 minutes, and resolved my issues.  Some of the best customer support I have experienced.

The game can get boring if you concentrate on one aspect of the experience. My advice is to try all the different aspects.  Badge hunting became addicting for me.

Have fun.

This game had such potential, but that's what happens when you wait too long to release a half finished game.  Now they can't even give it away.. I imagine there are people playing it,  I wonder if they are brave enough to admit it here... I promise no bashing, just curious how the game is actually going.
