So basicaly wat indicates that Blizzard dosent know how to use their money Effectively thanks to a large number of subscription and teh features they have impletmnentd arent out of a extra ordinary...investing large sums doesnt make a powerful game but utilizing that few sum in the best  way  in a cost effectve sense is hell lot better.

Warhammer has superior graphics to Darkfall.

Warhammer actually looks like it was made by professional modellers and texture artists. Darkfall looks like it was made by amateur modellers , animators and artists...

If Darkfall doesn't deliver, I think the people that are really looking forward to this game will be very sad. They will either temporarily abandon MMOs for awhile or return to something like EVE.

I would think all the immature haters would come out and make up bullshit as to why the game failed...except I'm not sure if they'll still be recovering from WAR being a total failure after the population sinks when people realize that game sucks.

In the end, WoW will still sit at the top, for no good reason.

hmmm...from reading some parts of this...AOC or Warhammer or WOW  employees are trolling in here...theya re basically trying to flare up every bit wat DFO is trying to achieve ....instead of jsut leaving of this forum space with constructive comments  but rather hell loads of Flame baits..taking advantage of the situation like cunning market players ...trying to De-hype it as much as they could.

The problem here is, most mmo' addicts are from 2 generations. UO / EQ era, in which case it was not about money.  It was about innovation and an experience you couldn't forget.  Slowly but surely, subscriber bases climbed until finally, the second generation came along - World of Warcraft.  In which it was an extremely polished game, a grand experience (until raiding took precedence). So now you have companies, who are not about innovation, and are not about a grand experience.  They have a head producer who is looking for 8 million subscribers at 15 dollars a month so he can buy 10,000$ a night hookers and ferrari's.

 

so, there is the state of MMO's as it stands today.

 

 

 

one thing i can understand from ur post is ur a retardo ....the best example i can give is EVE-Online  try that   u will figure each MMO is very different  as wat it has to offer at different stages ...its more like comparing to a old nursery story..."Ugly Duckling" hope u rembr,.  that in ur noob RL days

ships can be insured but t-2 ships dont have much insurance and t-2 modules costing more worth than the ship itself

i have 2 characters, one has 55 million sp, the other has 28 million. if they were to fight, the 28 million would win almost every time. the younger char has specialized strictly on T2 cruisers and battlecruisers, and is a fearsome sleipnir/vagabond fighter.

the older char is a great miner, industrialist, inventor, trader and corp manager, but cant fly any combat ship bigger than a destroyer.

who would you bet your money for on a 1vs1 fight?

 ur forgetting something the point was  about PVP char going up against another PVP char mate ....not a carebear char against a pvp char.

great u failed to figure out too , eve is teambased ofcourse but how often do u get to hook up with gangmates to kill a carrier or have jsut enough teammates with sufficienct SP's to fly the ships required to get enough DPS + NEuts + NOS + ECM gang mates so until u get the gang mates u require to kill the carrier effectively using LOW SP characters say around with 6-8 months atleast ..and for the case how come i c solo carirer(longer time player) killing carrier(shorter time player) ..BS's? camping  low sec gates? Choke points as such .. ofcourse u wud say wait until u max ur skill for that...oh yea wait for like 1.5 years even to get a good fighting chance even with the best setups when the 5 year guy no doubt fitted with (faction + Officer Mods + t-2 no doubt).

So far 95% of the kills i got is becoz of players who played lesser time than me  and the rest of the 5% coz i had mates to backup to kil the longer time based player anways ur point of not seeing a Solo carrier then i guess ur just stuck in 0.0 space with a  massively huge allaince ..the only way i c the game can be balanced fir the new players is to Speedup the skill training or jsut lessen the time to train so the catch up can be made ofcourse they have done the one part for imrpioving for the new playees By starting SP's at 800k-900k rather than before which was at 200k i belive so and if skills level dint matter much why would they increase the starting SP?
