Graphics question

I just logged on for the first time last night.   The first thing I noticed was the graphics do not look as good (clean) as they do in the screen shots I've seen.

 

I know graphics don't make the game, but it helps.

I have all the settings turned to max as far as I can tell.  The water looks great but my character looks sorta like a paper doll.  He just doesn't blend with his environment.

 

I know its not my PC, I just upgraded to a 3Ghz Core 2 Duo 8400 and a gforce 8800GTS 512MB.

Any thoughts?

I'll play War, but it the character movement and camera controls are not smooth..   I'll be gone in 5 min. 

 

I want to enjoy the game not fight it.

Hunters do level a little faster espically if you spec beast mastery (or so I've heard).  I've started a Night Elf hunter, an area I'm not very familiar with, and I did notice once I got my pet my leveling was going faster than other characters I had previously leveled. 

I think part of it is do to the fact you have a pet, at least for me it was more of an insentive to just kill  random MOB's for the XP on the way to a quest just because it would take no time at all to drop them..   The insentive for a warrior or mage isn't there becaues with a  War you have to detour and be face to face with your target, and a mage cast time is an issue combined with the fact that your target is focused on getting to you and not a pet so you can be slowed down once your target is to close for some of your high damage spells.

Just my 2cents.
