Ok, I'll say it:

The question is not how to talk to women, but how to get them to stop talking.

That would be an instant best seller!

Old fashioned 20th century sexism FTW!!!

20th century? I'll be sure to tell everyone I know how much I've progressed

I go on my macs when ever I want to work slower and less productively while fighting the horrible interface.  They cases sure are pretty though.  Macs are awesome until you turn them on.

Barack Obama has promised a tax cut to 95% of Americans, or to put a threshold on it, to those making $250,000 or less as he has stated time and time again out on the campaign trail.  But recently, he has become a bit more specific saying the tax cut will apply to those making $200,000 or more if single and $250,000 or more if married filing jointly.  And now, in an interview in Scranton, Joe Biden said that Barack Obama wants to give a tax cut to the middle class, or those making under $150,000.

So in the course of only a few days we have seen Barack Obama's tax cut shrink from a $250,000 ceiling down to $150,000.  Look for it to hit $100,000 by this weekend.

Obama's tax cut: going, going...

In a related story, Joe the plumber's fame has been extended to a full-time job.  He just signed a contract with a country music label.  Looks like he is no longer going to benefit from Obama's tax plan as Obama supporters like to say.

Joe the Country music man

I believe some democrats were already taking about $100,000 a couple of weeks ago.  They why the polls are tightening a bit, some people are starting to see through the bs.  Let's see how low it goes.  I would be suprised to see it hit $50,000

In my opinion, with the current political outrage over Bush, this should of been a landslide election for the Dems.   I am talking major Reagan or Nixon like landslide.  500+ electoral votes to double digits for the Republicans.  Heck a ton of Republicans are fed up with Bush too.

Yet imho the liberal Democrats got greedy and instead of building up their party so they could gradually make the changes they wanted over a couple of presidential terms.  They instead have tried to do it all in one swoop with Obama.

A more moderate Democrat (like William Clinton) would be leading by 20% or more in National Polls and would of swept the electoral vote.

I've been saying for a long time now that the Democratic ticket should have been Hillary with Obama as the VP.  They likely would have locked up the White House for 16 years.  Now, it's a tossup.  I say that Obama needs to go into the election up by at least 6 points in the polls to win.  There is no way the final results are going to look as good for him as they do before hand.

you mean like the polls where they are admitting they are polling 2-3 times as many democrats as republicans.  Let's not forget that Kerry was up by 8 points going into the last election.  Polls are meaningless, and there is no foregone conclusion for either side.  I'm just happy its almost over

OMG the guy looks like a guy...  And actually dresses like one.

You sure, because all the characters in the screens were guys.

I loled.  Probably true.

Anyway, might pick this one even though I've never actually finished a FF game.  Simply because it finally has realtime combat.  Well... maybe.  We shall see.  FF is like a single-player grinder at some points, and the game really annoys me.

From what the press reports this Final Fantasy's combat system is a much more beefed and faster paced system of Final Fantasy XII. If you're looking for a realtime combat RPG you should look into Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

it's like FF12?  Good, then I can save my money for something else

I read a few weeks ago that he didn't die and they are planning on a seperate Venom movie

That's such a crock of shit.  If everyone is rich who's going to be a janitor or a gas station clerk or the pizza guy etc. ad infinitum...

You're talking about a pyramid.  Poor at the bottom.  Rich at the top.  That's how it works.  That's the only way it works.  People are always going to have to be on the bottom and around the middle.  So is it asking too much that they at least live in comfort on the shit wages they are paid?

God forbid someone who "earned it" after their rich white parents sent them off to rich white kid school has to buy a mcmansion with one less half bath because of slightly higher taxes.

The american dream is a crock of shit- you can work your fingers to the bone in this country and not have a god damn thing to show for it- hell, you're lucky if you even get to keep your job these days.  That's all the american dream ever was- that hard work would provide you a good life.  It's just not true anymore and hasn't been for some time.  That's why everyone is pissed off at the top 5% of the pyramid having a hissy fit over having to pull their fair share.

The standard of living for the middle and under is going down in case you haven't noticed.

Hey I have a theory too.  I think people who defend rich people who dont give a shit about them are appeasers.  They think they will all someday be rich, or that by making themselves known as a humble servant of greed- they will somehow be rewarded.  With a job, with favortism, with the least difficult slave details when the revolution comes- i dunno, it's a servant mentality, or it's a kid who was told they were special too much as a child and now belive they are destined for great fortune...

But the other day I saw a white SUV with a McCain bumper speeding by in a no passing lane... they also had a big sticker proclaiming they support our county sherriff...  Do you see?  Appeaser!  They wont pull me over for speeding if I have my big kiss-ass sticker!

My wants are simple.  I want the American dream my parents had.  My father had an 8th grade education and my mother never went to college.  They both make about 50,000 a year.  There were legions of brainless burnouts for decades on the UAW lines getting 35 an hour to operate a piece of machinery by pushing a god damn button.

Where's mine?  Where's my living wage for good honest work?  It does not exist anymore.

Your post shows how clueless you are.  Working hard doesn't get you the American dream, working smart does.

If your a janitor and don't do anything to get ahead then you are a janitor for life and are not living the American dream.

If you are a janitor and put a little aside and eventually start your own janitorial business and hire others to do the grunt work, you are living the American dream.

If you are a janitor and put a little aside so your children can go to college and become something more than a janitor you are living the American dream.

If you sit around crying about how no one has handed you the American dream, then your just a loser.  Good pay for good honest work does exist but you have to earn it.  perhaps your should try to develop a skill above pushing a button?

This is class warfare and Im ok with that.  It's been a long time coming.  I guess the folks who don't make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in the McCain camp think if they support the "Massa," Massa will make sure theys still gots a job.

A job where pay never adjusts for the rate of inflation, where your standard of living is constantly dropping.  To Republicans, more $8/hr jobs are "progress."

I have no sympathy for people making over 250K who are going to have to pay an additional 3%.  Boo f'ing hoo.  Try living in Detroit and see how lucky you are.

Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another, but let him work diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.
Abraham Lincoln

I wonder if you understand the meaning behind that quote?

Too bad hard work is barely worth 8 dollars an hour these days, otherwise that ancient nugget might mean more than a pile of shit in the globalized economy of the 21st centrury.  Wonder what Lincoln woulda said about times where the hardest working people are the poorest.

Sounds a lot like throwback times don't it?  Like slaves?

But don't worry- vote republican and pease the Massa so's we can keep our jobs.

right, so people making minimum wage work hard and everyone else doesn't.  Are you trying to sound as stupid as humanly possible?

Stone Temple Pilots.  Great music and they put on a great performance live, even on the reunion tour when Weiland was so high he almost fell into the crowd.
