Martial artist is not bad to start with, no need for a weapon which saves some money, they can also
heal themselfs somewhat okey.
Later on they do some nice dmg aswell.

Been playing a ranger for a bit, doing a quest to some alchemists lair and i'm stuck, with no ability to heal and no healing potions to be found no idea how to make it trough the quest.

Game looks nice but feels tiny for an online game, have worked nicely so far no crashes and lag seems low, but right now i rather just keep on playing Baldurs gate II with expansion.

Think i will stay with my current bunch of games :)

So far i haven't even been able to get to the character creation part, but will try it again
but if i can't even get that far it does not look good.

Haven't really killed a lot of hecklers myself, but getting an ingot from time to time
was rather fun and a nice boost to your credits, but the removal will hopefully bring
prices down on items.

Most classes can solo, but obviously some better then others :)

Druid has been mentioned, necros are good to, bards but they can be hard to play well, magicians are not that bad either, beastlord works to with okey tanking and a strong pet and good pet heals + regular healing(not very good but better then nothing), bst can also slow mobs which helps a lot.

I have a wood elf druid, works okey for me, and as was mentioned gear can make up for any difference in races, beeing a wood elf or halfling is nice for there nightvision compared to humans but there is gear that evens that out to.

Druids might be a good starter class, druids have just about everything there is not much they can't do, you have snare/root/second best heal/ports/runspeed buffs/evacs/regen/second best damage shields/good nukes/good dots, if you can snare a mob you can probably kill it, being able to snare a mob and increase your own runspeed is a huge boon, had times when i was out of mana and could run ahead of the mob sit for a bit and meditate until i had enough mana for 1 more nuke or dot, very hard to do on a mob that runs at full speed.

Only ones that can heal better the a druid is a cleric, but they have like 5% of a druids soloability.

You forgot bards in there :)
Bards take a lot of skill to play at there full potentional, but there also fun thanks to being able to
do so much in game, not a bad soloer either.

If you like to solo or might be forced to mages/beastlords are nice, mage does some nice dmg with nukes, beastlords on the other hand have a good pet, good pet heals, slow and regular heals and a lot better tankability.

As for wizards there not so bad once you get the first snare, prior to that very frustrating to solo, root the mob and hope it lands then nuke and root drops most of the time, another good level for wizards are lvl 45 when you can get kei(+14 mana per tick regen, +250 mana pool and 25int), but at 53 my mage could nuke for about the same dmg + the dmg from pet, wizards are still needed though for ports to sky/hate though :) but guess not a good reason alone to make one :D

Wow big pics :)

I like Mahagra one of my favorite areas in the game so far, gues i'm a sucker for ice/snow, my favorite expansion in everquest is you guessed it Velious, the land of ice and snow :D

I play on RK2 myself and while i'm not that hardcore i played for a long time
sure there are bad stuff in game, rubberbanding yepp, adonis sucks for that, or sl
if you play a crat and use the sl roots, some lag sure, can't say i find game/zone crashing
to be a big problem, believe i had it happen more often in everquest, that after 6 years
still have some major problems.

As for ARK's they might missuse there powers or whatever but as far as i can tell
it has never hurt me, the few times i needed assistance they have replied rather fast
compared to other games(eq1 for instance), been very helpfull and polite as well,
as for speaking badly about customers, well name a tech who doesen't at some point or
another?

And i would not call it silly to compare 2 months experience Vs 3+ years, sure you are bound to
have different experince but one can only look at where you are in the game and give your opinion
if he likes the game after 2 months good for him, will he do so after 3 years? well time will
tell for sure.

Never played swg, or wow myself, but i have eq2 and while it might look great and all i still find
ao and eq1 more fun, give em credits for making freeport and qeynos feel so alive though.
Wow i hear you can get to highest level rather quickly and then there is not much to do at all,
personally i think people rush game play way to much and therefore growing bored fast, before
the server merges in everquest it was semi impossible to find a group at low levels, the few lowbies
around where getting powerleveld right past the mot fun parts of the game IMHO.

For anyone interested in trying ao, go ahead it won't cost anything and make up our own mind,
worst that can happen is that you enjoy the game ::::02:: if you don't then remove it and all you lost
is a bit of time.

Rambling of time to work ::::07::

Sure the first levels are rough on you, many people you see spending huge amounts of credits
are alts of higher level chars, for instance my lvl 137 mp can easily do missions around lvl 180,
depending on size of mission area(number of mobs) and dumb luck i guess :D he can make 1mil
in 3-5 missions, so it gets better :)

Mez pet might not be super when only fighting one mob, but the "mezz" stops the attack so mob is missing a round, can be a lot of dmg at later levels, all helps :D

I have soloed a lot in ToTW, do i die, sure mostly thanks to others though.
It's not all hard to pull singles at least in the first room, just move towards them slowly,
rushing right by will create a train obviously.

Download clicksaver to help with missions, just search for it on the official forum or google

I pay for bit many mmo's right now so more cost i try to prevent :)

As for the controls, why no option to set your own i wonder, how many games can you think of today that have a fixed keyboard layout? but yeah i guess you can get used to it but it's a big change from eve,eq,ao and the others i play.

I have 3 chars on one account, it's a pain not being able to train more then one at the time, works okey when it take below 2 hours to train, but now i reach skills that take 8+ hours, glad i'm not a power gamer myelf, but sure is evil having that new ship and not being able to use it for another xx hours :)

Bought the game a while ago, haven't tried it yet but it seems it can be fun, the server thing and only 1 char is a bit of a downer, but i think what keeps me from starting is the damn keyboard control, why the &&%%¤¤ can't you set your own preference?? (if you can sorry if i missed that), the thing i hated with FF7 on pc, i have a game pad(microsoft) but it feels somewhat odd to play an online game on the pc with gamepad.

I have an amd 64 3800+, nvidia 6800GT 256 mb gfx and 2gb ram, so far eq2 runs fairly smooth, running at 1280*1024 with some options turned on / tuned up, in towns i did notice lag when turning.

Just got the game, found a nice guide on the web so at least i got started, up to lvl 4 right now from the street punks, so far it seems okey, graphics look okey but not amazing like in eq2.

As for best scifi, think ao beats this one, but matrix is brand new.
