Awesome new videos. My only complaints are that the melee testers are moving around like idiots while the casters clearly have the advantage because they don't have to aim at all, it is locked on to their target. The graphics are hot though. Scenery was real nice as well.

Been playing MMOs since UO, I say WAR has the content of WoW, plays like WoW, feels like WoW.  BUT they are going in the right direction with the new patch coming out.  Seems like they are steering towards a more DAoC form (thank god).

 

The people who say, "You're ignorant for thinking WAR = WoW" , are just as ignorant as the people who troll the forums saying that.  Unless you have played the game, you really don't have a lot of room to be calling people stupid for having an opinion on the game, because guess what your side is?  An opinion.

But some of us have played the game, and played it a lot and it is blatantly obvious to us when people are trolling. I think you are just a frustrated AoC fanboy, because they didn't allow you to get into the beta, hence the reason you are trying to purchase an invite to the game on various sites. I mean to search you name up on this site to see what some of your past post history has been like but it kept popping up with threads of you trying to buy some invites with real money. Obviously your opinion has been tainted and that just makes it that more obvious. Just because you want to play one game before it launches does not mean you have to bash another game coming out near the same time.

EDIT: Wanted to add what the point of me pointing out you trying multiple threads on different sites to buy your way into AoC beta. If you are willing to pay real cash to get into a beta of a game that is considered by many the rival of WAR, than your opinion has been more than likely swayed, hence the reason you just bash one and support the other.

Will they stand a chance? Yeah, considering the fact that none of us have played in this style of combat before everyone starts off on an even level.

Yeah the PM feature hasn't really worked for me consistently for weeks. Sometimes it says I have 0 in my inbox yet there will be 3 or 4, and other times it says I have 1 but I won't have one for days.

It would be a very difficult stretch to make an Archer or Ranger the Support/Healing Career.

I agree, but I still try to explain to people, even if they are blatant trolls or completely ignorant, as I think it reflects well on our community. There are other games on this forum that once they get any trolls, there will be 10-15 people who jump on them right away without answering the question or trying to explain why that person is an idiot so they can try better next time ^^.

I still say Q2 of 08', but the very end of Q2. I believe they will use the time available to them wisely.

If by play like WoW you mean that you can tab to target people and set up hot keys, yes it will. If you mean the game is basically the same in terms of what they are doing than you are completely wrong. WoW is first and foremost a PVE based game while WAR is an RvR based game. If I have to go into detail the differences between the two... you know what? I take back attempting to answer you nicely. You clearly have shown a lack of knowledge about WAR and do not deserve to be responded to on these boards. I am pretty confident most people here would back me and say that I do a good job of responding to people kindly who demonstrate such a lack of knowing what they are talking about but this is getting annoying. Go research the damn game and then make your opinion on it. You haven't played it, nor do you know much more than it is a fantasy setting.

We had people saying Vanguard would kill it, then we had people saying LotRO would kill it, and now WAR and AoC, it isn't going to put up those numbers. I do think it can take a nice chunk out of the market from WoW, but I would not expect to realistically see 9mil + subscribers. I would be perfectly fine with 500k which I think they will get rather easily, and I can see them getting as high as 2 or 3 million, but 9 million + is truly pushing it.
