Going by the latest video of the "stealth" class, you can indeed go into stealth, and it's indeed invisible-type stealth.

Though they did say that your surrounding would effect how invisible you were able to be.

An unnecessary aspect in MMOs.  Hopefully it will be done away with in the upcoming MMOs.

Real stealth is sneaking around unnoticed without having to turn into the predator.

How exactly would you sneak around unnoticed with a big colored name tag over your head if you weren't fully invisable, now I would be all for making stealth transparent based on your surroundings but still you would have to remove that name tag which make stealth pretty tricky.

You would have to mouse over a far away target to see the name and health.

Next thing they need is a voice chat, and making that scene sounds alive. Encouraging players to make some noise and turning themself on.

With this adult contents, there will be less noob calling and more boob calling, lol.

Its entertainment, like spam clicking on same npc from WoW and /music from LotR; however, this game is not made for everyone. Even I may not want to play this game, dont like the ideas of kids from relatives comming over and ask why the lady is not wearing any cloths and why that persons head flying all over the place.

Think of this as a good thing, there will be less kids playing this game who tend to bother more mature players.

You online game instead of being sociable when you have company over?

Can anyone tell me why this is a MMO?  The only thing I get from other players is lag, honestly.  There is no pvp and no real reason to group.  I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just curious whether or not other players are necessary at some point in the game.

With the way you talk I would hope that you have played through the game or at least gotten very far, correct?

Every single one of them. You do not need a built in mechanic. Once you die, simple delete your character.

Awesome, you my friend have convinced me to give this game 15 more dollars, I shall try the game again because I feel like my 14 hours of play was not enough (most of which I think was patching though)

I have talked about this with my pre launch AoC guild many times. If I had not left FFXI for those three months, I would still be playing it today. I miss it. The grind of the game gave me more of a sense of accomplishment when I did something good. It wasn't like other mmorpgs where there is instant satisfaction right off the bat until you really learn how to play.

Meh not years, more like 4 -6 months for me, I was addicted like no other though...

How hard is it to find a group though?  I mean I dont like sitting in one spot for hours trying to find a few people to quest with, it just feels counter-productive and not a good use of time.

I am the type of player that likes to make my own groups so it takes just mere minutes. I believe the longest I have waited while trying to organize my own group was maybe 30 minutes. Also, from when I played they have increased the EXP totals so it makes leveling less of a grind.

Thanks =)

Also...im now participating in my nations conquest...whats that mean?

It means you can collect special items used in crafting when you kill mobs I believe. I haven't played in quite some time but I think that is what it is. Also, when you kill mobs you get points besides exp and this will be used to acquire gear down the road.

How are you not bored yet?  Or is there like tons and tons of content?

There is a ton of things to do in this game which made it fun for me. It is a very group oriented game and that is another plus for me. I see you have racked up a ton of hours in World of Wacraft, so I would imagine you would be able to spend years playing one game as well.

I played this game for two years and I had a level 75 Red Mage, and Black Mage, along with a level 41 White Mage, and 37 Summoner and Ninja. I would play as little as two hours a night and as much as four.

ok thanks a ton, got that part figured out. My next question.

WASD how do I use it? it types when I press the button.

Also...Im a white mage... cant seem to kill the things right outside of town... do I need to buy something?

You will have to equip your weapon, they should have given you a wand. Just wand them to death and cast your heals. Eventually you will get damage spells as you level making this easier.

No wand just fists... and not working to well hehe

Go into your inventory and equip it. You should have one.

EDIT: I never used the WASD keys for this game, I just used the num pad.

Friend quit SOTNW today, and is back in FF11 he isnt on atm... and Im rather lost.

I finalyl got the game patchedm got in game.... but Im having an incredibly time simply doing the basics.

Combat, weapons, upgrading the graphics, using abilities, how to get into wsad movement instead of the num pad.

Looks like the game is designed for a gamepad and not for pc's so probably have to buy it on xbox...but want to get some use out of my trial.

Is there a way to hotkey spells so I dont have to go fishing for that heal?

You are going to have to create macros for these and then assign them to different keys.

By having items that regen those, have buffs on you that get these back, or sit down and rest.

It is not really a MMO, more like a diablo clone.  You don't see a diablo section do you?

Why do you people compare it to Diablo? I'm in the alpha, and the game is nowhere near diablo style.  Sure, it has demons, but that's about it.  It's a 1st/3rd person game, d2 is not.  If you want to compare a game to diablo, compare it to Mythos.  I'm in the beta and it feels like diablo brought to current technology.

You said it is nowhere near Diablo, and then say it is Diablo with current tech. lol

Also owning both a pc and a console is unheard of because the personality clash of being a kiddie and an adult at the same time would kill the poor man that would try such a feat. If you cant tell whether im being sarcastic or not slap yourself

Kano himself makes it sound like he is one of those kiddies he seems to not want to play with.

adult content is nothing more then them trying to hype the game. swearing, nudity, over the top amount of bloodsprays hack in slash directional combat made to run on a 360 controller and future release on the 360.. does any of this sound adult? as a 34 yo mmo fan none of these things make it on my adult list.

What does your honorable adult mmo list consist of?
