You are more than welcome to come to Order on Azazel and contact anyone from SeeSaw The Booy/Alliance is Goon Slayers. We are on all coasts and are on at all times, all over 18 and even a couple of hubby/wife teams. Don't despair, not all servers are this way- heck half the time we are so busy we have a hard time deciding what to do and when- but we are always kickin arse! |

I'm an ex UO'er as well and I am loving W.A.R. because I am familiar with the tabletop to begin with. I have played numerous other games since UO and found myself wanting that old UO PvP and crafting etc but at the same time I find things to like about the game I am currently playing and have fun with my old friends and new ones- if you don't like it then don't play it but don't come here and tell everyone else about it, there are therapists for that and I recommend you see one right away because you sound like you need to get out(of the sandbox) more. |

To the guy who has a lvl 5 toon and is complaining about game play, try different toons on both realms and get them to at least tier 2 before making that kind of "observation" on the game play. As an elder beta tester I can tell you only this- the game will be very stable and very pleasing to you upon release, for God sakes people you are in beta, NOT the finished product! |

Witch Elf for me...Witch Hunter for hubby LOL
We are going to have to make it to the middle somewhere on some server to compromise, neither of us are really willing to bend much though- any ideas on how we could not be ripping eachothers throats out over this? |

I have been playing now for about a month full-time and I must say that it is a very fun and frustrating game- it has monster play which is getting ready to get an upgrade (thank goodness) and it is not like other set ups for PvP or RvR or any other version thereof but it does meet the need of whooping up on someone if you feel the urge to do so. The quests are often multilayered and span from a "green -con" quest to an "oj-con" quest so you never know what to expect at times. It does help if you begin playing "with a friend" like my husband and I have played together so we get to explore (and argue) together througout the different lands and it makes it more like a scavenger hunt for things at times and can be great fun. To me this is not the usual quest grinding mode you have to get into like you do most other games in order to compete in something larger down the line; for instance in DAoC there are RvR battlegrounds for the various levels and there were only a few that were actually "popular" to attend so everyone was always "I need lvl 24 for Thid, or I need lvl 39 for Molv" it was very grind based and pretty much BIG RvR was not even attempted until lvl 49 (50 is the max for the game) and that made for "leet" groups and whiners and beggers for "plvling" and I have not had to contend with this in LoTR thankfully- it is a nice break from all the e-peeness and reach- around parties between realms ...basically I like that LoTR is pretty much drama free compared to other games. So, play on! The patches and expansions to come for this game I am sure will be rewarding to most! |

Husband and I tried to play this thing - we are both lovers of history and gaming....I palyed UO since it came out (before it was on the net like it is today- yes i'm old) so point and click was no biggie......but it just isnt for us. I am sure some will like it and it will have a following but with today's need to be able to maneuver slightly faster than poin and click allows (fond of my WASD keys) and the bland ability to customize leaves me with giving this game a 3...on a scale of 0-10 and it only got that because 1. the graphics are quite pretty and 2. they had the ballz to release it here. |

Thats a good thing- a cleric was never meant to be the type of cleric you see in alot of online games these days(DAoC) where they only stand in the back and heal. A real cleric (monks included)- any healer type should be able to defend themselves while running around a battle healing and tending to their injured party. If someone wants a "fluffer" they need to make a new name for it and let them be spec'd for back of the line healing but it seems that they may be on the right track in this game with healer types- don't NERF the healers in this game EAM!!!! |

It's a great game for in-between those times where your pissed off at your current game and just need to go hack on some really great looking monsters. The graphics are interesting, the quests are fun but repeatability lies solely on how bored you are on another game- it is just what it is and I like it for those momments (it has saved me from tossing my mouse or slammin a keyboard many times). |

Having been gone for a year and coming back to all these new changes, I am seeing a lot of past ToA encounters not spawning, do not have the previous quests associated with the named mobs and in this case(Eternal Plant) , it never seems to be up. I know that the servers were all clustered, then SI clustered and most recenty (only the God's know why Mythic did this) ToA was clustered......after three days of camping the various locations of spawn with different toons- I have given up and my friend who needed this encounter will now be using BP's to buy it- I feel this is a bit cheap on a ToA server ; this game has gotten "too easy" and seems solely focused on "who has the best gear for RvR" and thats just cheesey, where has the actual "gameplay" gone- anyone can buy good gear and go hump around the bridges in NF.......must be Mythic's way of forcing extinction upon this creation to make room for W.A.R.... |
