The game ended for me at level 50, and six months later, six months! there is still nothing to do.

Well, tens of thousands of years ago, primates realised that killing everyone was counterproductive, so we developed intelligence and social skills in order to acheive our goals instead.

If people want to pretend to be stupid apes, let them, get them off the PvE servers, good riddance!  And if you roll on a PvP server and get ganked, it serves you right!

An Intel one - AMD are stuck with the Athlon 64 x2 6400 (3.2Ghz) 90nm which runs damn hot and slower than a E6600 with a moderate overclock.

It's like Cancer!

Every compliment I hear about DnL is actually a compliment to VWorld - what NP3 bolted on top is the worst example of an MMO I have ever seen.

It's not just the game, it's the company that runs it.  Right now for example, the servers have been down for 5 days and nobody has a clue why.  There is no support, users with ATI cards can't play the game and there hasn't been a patch for a year.

Thousands of people were billed repeatedly when they had cancelled their account, 8881 people were conned out of their money and never received what was promised (map!), oh yeah and then the devs made the game free to play.

On top of the horrible class imbalance, "super" weapons that only a few players have and the many, many exploits, I'm amazed by this game as well.

That's on a system that just exceeds the so called "minimal" requirements, which are pure BS, if you don't have the "recommended" requirements, I wouldn't bother.

I beta'd and pre-ordered AO, hence Funcom have shafted me before, they won't do it again.

I wouldn't mind, but the devs were adamant they had learnt from their mistakes - I don't think that's true at all.

They are relaunching Thaladomide as well, the devs promise it will work this time, honest...

If you didn't already know, there us is a rumour that DnL 2.0 is 70% complete and hopes to fix all that is wrong with the current game.

I'd just like to say that I never thought anybody would be so stupid to fall for the same lie twice, actually that's a lie, but it still feels it's my duty to point out the idiocy of it.

Will there be pre-orders to DnL 2.0?  Can Np3 pull off the same con again?

I think they can - the fools are waiting on the sidelines, how sad is that?

Yeah, and it'll take you about a month to hit cap and then there's nothing to do.  If you look at is as a single player game, I guess it's not that bad, it's only $9.99 in some places as well.

It's not as if they weren't warned!  We tried to tell them in beta that without end-game content this would happen, and it has.

Lvl 1-20 is OK, since there are quests, BUT, due to a crazy design flaw you best not spend any attribute points until 20 or you might gimp yourself by doing yourself out of points so Melee classes especially have a hard time levelling up to 20.

After lvl 23 - well, you grind...  Cap is 100btw.

PvP is all about 2 classes, Archer and Ranger.  There are 14 Classes in the game but if you aren't an Archer or Ranger, you best hunt in a group, solo PvP just won't work.  Also, there are weapons in the game so overpowered that they were removed from the game, but the devs forgot to remove those already in players possession, in short fair fights are few and far between.

There's horrible exploits as well, for example some classes can levitate and be totally invulnerable whilst letting their pets (3 of em usually) beat you to death with no way to retaliate.  There's 100's of exploits, most due to bad design and planning instead of actual game bugs.

There's been no patch or update for over 12 months now.

Performance is bad for everyone - but playable, you get used to the stuttering after a few days.

In short - yeah it's that bad, even though you may get some time from the game I can't suggest it because you'll grind up the levels and leave disallusioned due to exploits and bugs, having wasted a few months of your life on this POS.  Do yourself a favour and give it a miss, you'll thank me in the end!

Yeah I agree, when I cast spells in RL they look nothing like they do in-game!  And RL necro pets are a bit more of a charcoal colour than the grey they are in-game.
