There are two or three games i would love to play but GOD they are nothing but a home for just about everything that one like myself does not need in a Game.  Can't these people be punished for this type of nonsense they create.

Start taking there computers or gaming devices away from them or closing down shops that don't care.
Am i the only one that thinks that it out of hand?.  Games were meant to have fun, why now does it bother me so much then to play.  Has this happened because of so many free games around and none seem to care at all about what happens. It's getting to the point where i do not even want to do Betas anymore......... /sigh

I wish people could understand this simple concept:

MMORPGS have NOT got worse, you, us, we and I have simply become accustomed to them. We understand the concept involved, we know what to expect, we know the underlying mechanics, we know how to min/max, we have oodles of online information on everything from secret unlocks to complete walkthroughs.

There is nothing left to our imagination, as 'veteran' mmo'ers. I remeber how exciting just the idea of Anarchy Online was when I read a tiny article about it, I remember how great UO sounded because of all the ungame like things you could do ~ grow stuff, craft things, own things.

Reading the description for the Agent class in AO all those years ago had my imagination running wild with the notion of disguise, infiltration and the like, as it was described in this manner. in reality it was jnothing of the sort, but I was not to know.

Once you and I were awestruck at the very notion of a persistant online world that continued to progress even when we hit the power off button, all those people playing, interacting.

We take all this for granted today, it was going to happen and nothing can replace that initial experience and so every new release will feel less and less impressive and become more and more familiar.

The OP didnt skipped anything, the game is absolutely easy and fast to level now, I play around 2 hours a day, sometimes 3 and i reached lvl 80 the day before yesterday.

That being said i can tell you that ive completed avery loremaster achievement for every zone on the expansion, except for icecrown wich i am still questing, so dont say i jumped directly into 80, thats not true.

Well you said this in your OP

"I stopped going to instances because every boss drops 3 items, lol, 3 items, using the same skins as every quest rewarded item. As soon as I reach lvl 80 ppl start raiding, and who would have known, we clean naxx on the first week, its too damn easy....I wonder, its this what Blizzard can do in 2 FULL years developing?"

Maybe I'm confused by what you wrote, but how did you complete Naxx in the first week of the game if you only reached 80 2 days ago?  Also, are you really that concerned about what dance moves are in the game - or what the armor skins look like on disposable blue items?  I'm happy to wear a pink dress with green ruffles if it has better stats.  Then again, I guess I come from a time when game makers focused a lot more on content than they did on shinny graphics.

Also, at 2-3 hours a day, you've already played 40-60 hours since release.  That's already way more content than most xbox 360 and PS3 full games that people happily pay $65 for.

Just reread this post and see HOW much trolling these guys do these days in trying to destroy such a great game.

The OP is caught up within his own lies. Pants hanging down on his feet.

Of course we're not always that lucky to uncover it all. But I guess he'll just stay posting, with filth and easy lies just like those other guys, G and X and alts.

But what can you do with a website where the chief editor says he loves Warhammer and sees no problem in posting it even on his own website.

NO other MMORPG comes even close to the story telling, PVE, PVP, crafting of WotLK. The WotLK music alone is a milestone in this genre.

I smile when people say they get the achievements of WotLK within 3 weeks of playing. Not even in 6 months will all the achievements of PVE (let alone PvP) be conquered by as many as a handfull no lifers that play the game 20 hours a day. Try battle master :)))

I too regret the sorry state the competition is in. Their clunky movements, their laggy gameplay, their technics used of yesteryesterday to cash in on the same money. The fact that these kind of games even find some supporters to shit on thisgame on our forum shows how good WotLK really is.

I play WoW for 4 years now and ive been waiting for WoTLK since its announcement, but I am terribly disappointed with this expansion. First of all, everyone can see its unfinished, we can see that the dev team was clearly pressed for an earlier launch, the game is very poor item wise, i managed to level from 70 to 80 and there was only 2 different skins in my armor type (plate), the pvp itemization for lvl 80 is still not implemented, so there is no real rewards for now. I stopped going to instances because every boss drops 3 items, lol, 3 items, using the same skins as every quest rewarded item. As soon as I reach lvl 80 ppl start raiding, and who would have known, we clean naxx on the first week, its too damn easy. Lets speak about crafting now, there are no rewards or recipes to collect we are for now, except maybe one or 2 professions, limited to what the trainer teaches. What about those functions they promissed us and are not there, like new dances for instance. I wonder, its this what Blizzard can do in 2 FULL years developing? what the hell, did blizzard pulled all developers to Diablo 3? When will we get more content, more recipes, more item skins, more balanced raiding. Did blizzard learn nothing about releasing unfinished games from the competition?

Thats because Blizz knows that the game has peaked and they are investing more time and money into Diablo 3 and Starcraft....Blizz doesn't want to cause a panic and truthfully tell people that the sub numbers have took a kamakazi nose dive, but its evident when you find stacks and stacks of copies still sitting on shelves an tables in Wal Mart, Target, Best Buy, Gamestop and other places....

YAWWWWNNNNN..... I really want some of what you smoke. Maybe the server queues of over 600 ppl, free transfers and new realms were all a dream.

The fanbois just as bad...Your 3rd to 5th points are opinions

offcourse they're my opinions, that is why I like WoW. I can not understand though, how anyone can truly or objectively list 20 MMOrpgs that are BETTER overall than WoW. Sure anyone who hates wow can copy the order of the forum list to the left, but that is total bullshit.

I am not a 'fanboi' , if I were I would have some WoW sig or Xfire sig displaying 1000's of hours played. I am, however, a fan of the MMO genre who enjoys playing THEM, rather than some snobby elitist T&*T that endlessly complains about them.

Crazy. Just plain crazy and a first in the MMORPG field, because these world changes arre happening in full adventure lines (not at a beginning or intro or not in between a temporarely shifting of a quest).

It's absolutely NOT a "first in the MMORPG field."

In Runescape, phasing is used on farming plots so that each plot can be used by every player. You see only the crops that you have planted yourself.

They also have dozens of quests where mobs or objects appear/disappear based on events happening through the storyline (and most of their quests are considerably longer than Blizzard's).

Plus, when they do phasing, you can still see other players and they can still see you, which in some cases means your friends can help you with quests or activities they have already completed.

When Blizzard can allow players to change servers at will (and for free), have phased content that still allows you to see and play with your friends, and use phasing to its full extent (not just where it's convenient for them) then you can talk about "crazy." Right now it's just dabbling with technology.

The OP made me laugh too. Appearently WoW is the only game he played.

LOTRO also used this kind of phasing technique (unfortunately not on all, but a lot).

WAR has this kind of phasing as well. Also unfortunately not everywhere, but still.

So Blizzard isn't the first with this.

Cheers

I do not recall phasing in LOTRO, although i dint play too far into it, so please remind me. The first 5 levels were not phased.

And to the person banging on about CoX and it's 3d world thing.. He didnt simply mean that you can fly in wow he means that the Outland region is a full 3D enviroment that is seemingly seemless, you can fly from Hellfire to Netherstorm if you wish. In Cox   everything is hard zoned with a barrier and portal.

ahhh nothing like reading some true haters hate.

To the OP, it's good stuff and makes for some nice game play. i.e the DK starting zone, and I dare say blizz will work well with it.

Blizzard have IMO blown Mythic and a few others out of the water with WotLK. I quit WAR after it become devoid of players and devoid of any reason to exist.

To the few hate filled bile spewers,  --- falling, sky, is.

This is because wotlk is not living up to all the hype...Ive said this before and ill say it again, ive been in Best Buy, Wal Mart, Gamestop, and a few other lesser known for selling pc software stores and I have seen boxes upon boxes of this expansion sitting on tables and end shelves collecting dust...In fact at Best Buy this week I noticed an employee boxing back up some copies of wotlk, now that could mean 1 or 2 things...they are making shelve space for other games or they are moving merchandise off the floor that isn't selling...wotlk brought nothing new to the table cept a new class and some refurbished NPC's, Quests and graphics..Many of my friends that have played it just for the PvP and sieging stated that it was the worse thing they have ever experienced, but they like a few others won't leave so quickly because of time invested....

There are people already level 80 a week or so into release already...What does that tell you? easy, no challenge and now they get to sit around another 3 years..Now you would think with all the money blizzard makes off software and merchandise that in 3 years of developement that there would be more of a challenge...Reminds me of the EQ days....Bring out expansions every now and then to keep people happy while you pour money into other games...

IMO WOW has reached its peak and sometime in 2009 when other MMO's start appearing and other MMO's improve, people will eventually stop subscribing, not everyone, but that fabricated 12 mil number will go on a decline..Its evident in most of the Forums on this and other sites that people are disappointed and are losing intrest..

I know some people think that numbers will improve during Xmas, I would say don't hold your breath

Numbers improving?   Wrath sold 2.8M copies in the FIRST DAY and is still the #1 PC game on any chart.    People keep saying how 'bored' wow players will be.. but the fact is there were 2.8M people who were so bored with WOW that they couldn't wait to get more of that boring game.   The same thing could have been said back when BC was released "omg. it's boring, just more of the same"... yet througout the life of BC, WOW kept breaking new subscriber records.  People have been saying that WOW would peak for the past 3 years, and it still hasn't stopped growing.

I honestly don't know what game you are thinking about in 2009 that is going to hurt WOW (please give an example).  WOW actually GREW in subscribers during the launch of AOC and Warhammer.. there are no games coming out in 2009 with any where near the marketing budgets as those two games.

Oh, and if you think Warhammer or AOC is going to be reborn and compete.  Take a look here at who is #1 (wrath) and who is not even in the top 100 (warhammer and AOC).  Even the original WOW is #17 this week, which means a ton more new players are joining WOW then are joining aoc or warhammer

http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/videogames/229575/ref=pd_ts_vg_nav

Your exact post is exactly what someone could have said when BC was launched, yet the game has grown by nearly 4M people since then.

I don't know but pvp seems more fun when both the players aren't incapacitated for 75% of the fight. Hopefully darkfall isn't "stunlock" online.

What a bullshit statement by someone who obviously never played the game, do some more research on diminishing returns next time before trolling like a lunatic.

Yeah Darkfall and Duke Nukem Forever are gonna be the best games out there .

The current trend in PvP in MMOS seems to be root / stun / fear. I think any mechanic that removes control of your character long enough to be killed is pretty lame.

Well WoW isn't dead - there's way too many players still "hooked" on it, and even though it's been steadily dwindling in the western markets, it's found new life in Asia. I don't know how WAR will be received in Asia once it launched there, though. Asian MMOs are amazingly grind-based as apparently they like that there, so it's no wonder they received WoW reasonably well. But the massive Lineage 2 is PvP oriented as I understand it, so it's likely WAR will be extremely successful there just as it was in EU/US.

WAR does seem to do mostly anything that WoW does, better, though.

Jeepers creepers.... I have to say this utter nonsense, sorry. WAR fails on every comparison with WOW in my opinion. WAR is ok, as games go, but it has some fundamental design flaws. WAR is sloppy and clumsy, it may get polish as things progress but time will tell.

Steadily dwindling? Really? WotLK hit and on my Eu server the queue times hit 30mins ( 600 people ) until they put in transfers to cope with it.

The simple answer to all these threads is

"If you dont like the game then move on"

There are over 39 released games listed on the left hand side of this site and a few more to boot, on the games drop down box.

If you dont like WAR go and try one of the others listed.

Ok you were expecting big things and were disappointed, so what, get over it, it is your own fault building up your expectations.

WAR has not been out very long and needs tweaking etc, just like any other MMO released. If you dont know this then you know nothing about MMOS.

To you think we really want to hear why "you" as an individual do not like the game?

WAR is what it is and if you dont like then tough, I wish you luck in find the ultimate MMO, i doubt you will ever find it, but good luck anyways.

I'm going to cantradict myself in part here;

The reason some people post these negative threads is simply to express, to those who would listen, their disappointment with a game, WAR in this case. Some people just bitch, endlessly, about a given game which I do not think is good.

I too have canceled my sub and picked up WoW again. Why? Simple, many people have listed the reasons already but some of my own reasons were scenario grind, lack of character itemization - attack of the clones - and lastly an ever decreasing population ( EU servers ).

is WAR a duffer of a game? No. But it will require some reworking to attract the masses. Meanwhile Blizzard have excelled themselves with WotLK. Burning Crusade was good to Meh, but this is brilliant. For once I can see some real love, thought and importantly polish gone into an MMO, albeit an expansion. Even the new BG complete with drivable tanks feels more seige like than WAR's open RVR content.

I dare say I will return one day, as I do like to swap about between MMO's. I hope they do well.

As said, it was going to happen, they are new and fun ~ who wouldn't want to try one? In time their numbers will dwindle, esp with northrend awaiting anyone with some 70's to lvl. I do not see it as a problem.

The facts:

Order Iron Breaker is the best tank in the game right now.  Unkillable and the knock back is way OP compaired to the rest.

Order Bright wizard, these guys are so overpowered for a mage.  No one can deny that.   I am now seeing them even leading the charge.  Compared to my Sorc I can't even cast 3 times against one before I am dead.  The bright wizard is far and above any other class in the game.

Order usually has at least 4-5 healers in every scenerio vs the 1 healer on the Destruction side.  And forget about a rez if you play Destruction, I have only ever been rezzed twice.  So most Destruction players spend thier time running back to the fight.

Order comes in every scenerio with this team usually:  5 healers, 3 tanks, 5 Bright Wizards, and  2 Witch Hunters.  Unbeatable.

If order loses its usually because the scenerio player numbers were not balanced.

Anyone dissagree?

Errr? None of these are FACTS, just your own biased and wrong opinion.

This kind of news is very disturbing, for the  players and for Blizzard. You would never ever see or hear this kind of news coming from games like EQ, hell no!!, Just proves how downgraded games are now a days. I dont care if these guys are world #1 or not, the material that Blizzard put out is not worth the money, like i said before, its the same content as the original WoW. Thx for these guys for proving that this expansion is not worth it.

So you have not played WoW:WOTLK yet feel your entitled to pass judgment on it because you read some place some 1 decided to bypass the quests, dungeons and content and just grind mobs for 64 hours to be the first to 80.

What you read is the exception and not the rule, I Have played abour 10-12 hours id say since thursday and I only dinged 70 today, doing the odd dungeon run and plently of questing (got my 1500 quest achievemnt too).

Yeah, you gotta love this stupid kind of post.  First of all, not posting from your OWN experience, secondly, posting an extremist's view that isn't even your own, because you, yourself, haven't experienced ANYthing related to said topic.  Pfffft.

Someone who made it to 80 already, DEFINITELY rushed with nothing more in mind that to just "ding 80" period.  They
