Say what you want about WoW, but the majority of gamers have tried it at one point or another, so by that standard most of any new mmo populations can be described as 'came from wow'. Personally when I hear that phrase it does not mean anything bad or good.

Mythic is going to release WAR when it is ready (same goes for WOTLK btw), if we do not have another delay it should hit the shelves before WOTLK, if it delays again (and the other doesn't), it will be after. Personally I am rooting for September/November release for WAR and early 2009 for WOTLK if everything goes according to plan.

We do use postal codes however, so it's all the same. Or at least the two countries I have lived in in my life did.

On the topic: Personally I just cannot see why EA does not just buys out Mythic's contract from GOA to stop this bad publicity.

They said June, but didn't say what year. :P

It is not DX10 that will make AoC bounce back, it is the xbox port.

I pre ordered and stopped playing when my free time run out, but I am going to check it out since my account got opened too. I have been hearing positive things about the game for a bit now, so I am curious what has been done. Boy does it takes a long time to update from the pre order install to current version! :p

Just because they have the right to do censor the forums in the way they do, it does not make it right. After all mmos are all about creating and nurturing a community and you just cannot do that without free flow of opinions and ideas... at least if you ask me.

Yeah, I have gotten that mail too. It is amazing what censorship and spin doctors can do... I would love to see Funcom's propaganda budget (at this point I feel that 'marketing' does not do those people justice).

My personal opinion is that when it comes to public forums (funcom/mmorpg/etc) is that no thread should be deleted. Lock it, bleep the offensive language etc, and always, I repeat always comment on mod edits/thread locks reasons. Anything else is just blatant censorship.
