wrong its been i development for 8 month since cryptic took over the license from PE that was developing it earlier , the only thing crytpic used was the concept art.

Hmm i was just starting to wonder when the big bashtrolls would turn up:) and the jem hadar + romulans will be in  after launch:)

Just got an email from a friend who has been cut and pasting deleted forum threads where certain of the most well-known and vocal fanboy posters are being actively "defended" by moderators against criticism, who delete posts by players who criticise the fanboys, before giving infractions to those players.

However, sometimes it's so fast, it seems impossible the moderators are watching those threads - unless of course they are the fanboys posting in them, seeing a reply they dislike and deleting it before others can see it.

Is this sort of guerilla moderation and bias normal in gaming forums, or specific to this dead game on meltdown? Funcom really needs to start some internal investigations on this stuff, same as their GM cybersex, random blanket bans and suspect billing practices.

The game is not half as bad as people like yourself try to get over on everyone.As a matter of fact it is not much worse than any new mmo at launch.People like you are just as much a problem with the genre as much as games launching before they are ready.

This rabid overzealousness for wanting the game to fail is just stupid.You want the game to fail?Who benefits from this?The players?The genre ?The game devs?

Nobody benefits from this.Im willing to bet your 1 of these silly players who emails FC and threatens to quit.Ive got news for you:Someone else just subscribed to the game.

Go outside and play already.

 

Well it is mmorpg.com the official gamebashing site , Think its hard to find any positive posts about any game here anymore:)

I just hope it will be a good game and that it will kill the abomination that is called SWG-nge :)

It has potential

* a impressive  gamedeveloper

* a solid fanbase both from the games they have made earlier (like blizzard) and from the sw movies

* a timeline that is less likely to make people bitch about accurasy

Im  looking forward to this, i hope i get a fresh and inventive MMO and not another wow clone

many of the people that post on the forums are the ones that dont like it , The happy players are to busy to play the game:)

I hope Cryptic will make a solid game but after all disapointments and how the mmo market today with its lack of creativity i dont think so. Time will tell i guess....

personaly i think you are wrong its just that many developers are trying to copy wow if you look att eve they are doing realy good now since they dont have any competion in the scifi segment. I think that if they can make an imersive and a bit inventive mmo out of startrek it will be sucessful. i think that if blizzard had made world of starcraft we would have seen alot of scifi mmos on the market. Many developers lacks of creativity thats why we se alot of wow clones coming out and i dont doubt we conan and the others will be the same.

ah ok didnt know that, But they usualy make their own titles so i dont think startrek will be their choice.

Na then they would be foolish starcraft will attract more players since it has nearly godly status in asia and still very popular there much of the sucess of wow comes from Bnet many blizzard fans came over to play.

I got the same problem its to dark in othergames to so i usualy use the ingame gamma adjustment but i cant find any in this game.

I remember playing for hours on my C= Commodore 64 Computer with my 1541 Disk Drive and a banging 300/1200 Baud Modem. Of course, we didnt get to play online. But thought I just throw in the old devices.. haha

But yeah, I am loving the game now, the PvP aspect I cant get enough of.

seems that noone else wanted it the mmo scene had been active for a long while and no offers had been made i dont think that if an established company had wanted it they had been turned down
