I quit because everyone is playing scenarios and no one in the open world. That and the lack of social emotes.

I did give in and play scenarios ffor a few weeks to play with other players in my guils but that just got so boring so fast. I went back to the open world to pvp and pve but there was just no one around.

Maybe in a year they will have this fixxed and I might try again.

I'll start by saying that I followed POTBS from the very first anouncment. The idea and concept is original and ground breaking.

I played in open beta for a bit then bought the game and played for a bit.

I debated with rusty on the offical forums, hes prety cool.

The game failed when the decission to go from a free form world to the one we see today that looks like a sid pirates game was made.

The realisim all of it, went with it.

If the game played like when we are in sea battles (over looking the ship and its crew) all the time this game would be huge. |Alas...it does not. Not many peeps know but there was a build at one time when the player camera was always above the ship and it looked nothing like sid meirs pirates.

I think a reversion would bring customers back.

Wiyh 1.5 million pre-orders and a sell out of retail stock at game stop and eb games ..my estimate for WAR subs is near 1.7 milolion atm.

My fav free mmorpg is by far RF-online. Good graphix and fun ( its a grinder with ganking with not too much personal loss).  I just love the Bell's Giant Robot mechs that we can get into and out of.

Sadly the only game that I know that really lets you play slim buff or FAT charactors is Grand Theft 3 Auto San Andreas edition. Its seems tho in GTA-IV we will not be allowed to be fat ( very odd to..what gansta possie doen't have a phat guy?)...We as players could work out or eat pizza all day long  lol! it was real emirsion and let me be the first to say its alots fun to play another body type  when in charactor  on-line.

SWG to some extent aswell. ... I had a short fat Mon-Calimari..funny as hell too!

We really need to demand more from mmo's in the way of charactor creation.

Anyone know if players can be fat in second life?

I am still working on the game ideas and genral concept, but there are some great ideas that can be used. I really want to get the idea that a player toon does not need arms or lets to have fun. My genral concept here is the player who chooses "Dr. Theopolis " ( no arms and legs) has some sort of major party bounus. Perhaps he could be worn around the neck and provide party bounuses ..but not automaticly!

The armless legless player would need to activate the bouneses and powers and stay up to the party's speed of action.  Does that make sense?

The player who "wears Dr. Theopolis" will then have to be a certin rank. Remember this is two players comming together to make a whole.

I'll add more later ..but ty for all the replys!

I agree with the OP its just a gankfest full of mouthy fools. I also play on an RP server and kill gankers a fair bit but really..I just want to RP.

all you fools who say play on a pve server AoC does not have an RP pve server so get lost.

AoC is a gankmagedon. No point to have a clan war as we cant tell whos who.

I like the idea of aoc but hate the way the servers are set up and no I'm not rerolling..lol

I wasn't acualy gona impliment a lvl cap at all, BUCK never had one so I dont think players need one either.

It will be very different from the mmo's you listed.

A) Eve-Online;

Great game but really now, BUCK ROGERS and the 25th CENTURY! would have a crafting system that incorporates a 3D AVITAR like little silver Twinki, in a player owned station. There would be no ice minning either, resourse would be earned by competing on the Super martini bikini dance floor!

Differnt moves would give things like..coal for thrashing or maybe  iron for swing type dancing. The best resourses would (like space tin) of course be earned from shaking your booty booty to laser disco.

B) STarWars Gallaxy's;

Well to be blunt the there would never be a NGE in BUCK ROGERS and the 25th CENTURY!! it's just so far into the future that there will be no need for a COMBAT UPGRADE

C) Tabula Risia;

Now we can all agree the FPS MMO in Tabula was a great step forward, but...in BUCK ROGERS and the 25th CENTURY! the FPS aspect of the game will be so much more and have features like;

- Using lasers with that cool 80's laser sound

- Having lasers in the 80's

- Voice acting with the big names like Tom Jones, Quinncy, BA BArackus (A-Team)

As a matter of fact Mr.T just signed on yesterday to help with the FPS aspect of the game!!

One thing I didn't mention yet was....I was gona save this for later but.....
