The fact is after all the hype and the so called next gen greta game, its a huge dissapointment, so many twats in the beta atm with there crap chat, the UI just sucks, and the gameplay is bloody awful, not to mention the loading screens everywhere.  The game just feels so small.

What funcom promised was 10/10

Delivered 4/10

Result another big game hyped to the max with a poor result.

Your opinion 1/10

All we learned is that your system is crap. Loading screens for entering buildings and death s/b just a few seconds on a good pc. Its that way for me, and I only have 2 gigs of ram.

Keen's review is garbage. Only some people are experiencing the performance issues he had. For instance, I've played for 6+ hours and never crashed once. Its a very good game and has lots of potential. As for Warhammer...who knows.

performed horribly for some people. Others, like me, had great performance.

too bad, so sad. My longest loading screen was 30 seconds.

Though I do wish combat was more like Oblivion. I like 'swinging the mouse' like a sword.

BS. I didn't crash at all playing 5+ hours. So your problems are due to YOUR system. What are you running?

Dunno where you're getting the "everyone seems to hate it" thing? What I am seeing is that a lot of people like it, and a lot have experienced technical issues. Personally my experience has been great so far - seems fun and polished, with a few minor bugs.

You don't need 4 gigs of ram, I'm running very smoothly on High settings  with 2 gigs of ram and vista 32 bit.  My 8800GT and 4 ghz cpu chew through it easily.

Lets list what i found last night:

- The game wont boot in DX10 mode for me

Its not in yet

- After pressing the play button, i get to sit and stare at a stuck screen for 2 minutes before any kind of splash screen comes up.

doesn't happen to me

- Login server errors at least once per time i attempt to log in/create a char.

happened once

- 2 minute zoning times once you finally get in the game

20-30 seconds for me

- Horrific choppiness when loading new textures into memory (Vanguard hitching all over again)

didn't really notice any choppiness

- periods of significant network latency

no

- w/ particles enabled, an annoying flashing/glitching that led to my first seizure

epileptics shouldn't play this I guess?

- An inventory and char sheet full of flashing question marks

didn't have this

- Falling through 50% of the bridges i crossed.

yes

- Fell through the world twice.

once

- Got stuck underwater once

no

- Did i mention i crashed 8 times in 90 minutes of play?

I didn't crash once

I have to agree with everyone that's comparing this to Vanguard.

not!

Wait a second.... Do i need a computer from NASA to actually play this game???

Is this going to be worse then Vanguard release?

I don't even think NASA's computer will be able to play this game  without lagging.

What a crock, I had no lag at all.

The whole premise was a joke. How many people thought, wow I wish I lived in the Star Wars universe so I can craft medical kits or shirts? I mean WTF? Turning a great adventure movie into a crafting game. Fun!

I finally just cancelled after being in beta  for months and playing 3 or 4 months after release, then logging in sporadically the last few months.

After release I was a big defender of the game, and that was a lonely position with all the hating. I didn't have crashes or serious bugs and definitely enjoyed it for a couple of months. But in the end, it simply became  boring. Leveling was not really fun...it became a tedious grind. I enjoyed the intial EQ like freedoms like lack of BoE etc but that was eventually undone. Also I found I spent most of my time traveling which was cool and all at first; but then became tedious.

All in all, a decent attempt that resulted in dull, repetitive gameplay. Not fixing minor but annoying bugs like the necessity to /flush all the time didn't help.

Faction grind?  If you wanted pets you had to be a "Creature Handler" or a "BioEngineer"...  You clearly didn't understand the game you were playing.

Never heard of faction pets for pvp? I guess "You clearly didn't understand the game you were playing.", Though I suppose I could have been more specific.

Generally crafters are a minority, and SWG was totally geared toward them. Since most mmorpg players are more adventurers than crafters,  its kinda tough for these games to succeed. Look at Horizons for example.

Speaking as an adult, american 'morals' can be pretty sick; when somehow violence is considered fine but anything sexual is 'bad'.  Gimmee a break.

Personally I thought it sucked hard. At release there was no dungeons or loot...you had to craft everything. If you wanted pets, you had to faction grind like crazy. Wow what fun. It was cool to explore for a bit but then the tediousness of the game became apparent. And of course, if you wanted to be a jedi you had to grind unbelievably...
