AO launch vibe? The game runs perfectly for the majority and servers are rock stable. Not sure what you mean with that. |

Our friend above clearly demonstrated why there should be variety in the market and why bashing it is a folly. As long as there is a game for everyone, gamers get to be happy :) |

But Vanguard was extremely popular when it was released. That game lost almost all its momentum due to technical problems. So far AoC hasn't lost its momentum, but it will do so if it doesn't follow the exact footsteps LOTRO did after launch. |

This is the first game my casual self considers raising alts while maintaining a presence in the end game playfield. Up until now it was either a choice between raising alts and never experiencing end game or raising just one character but experiencing end game content. So it's not all black and white. I do predict that some vocal hardcore people will cry murder to the fact that they will reach max level and wait their asses until the rest of the server catches up. For those that are clueless about what casual means, I didn't play this weekend due to a trip but will hopefully have 1 hour of gametime tonight. Some days go by without a single hour /played, some with a couple. Some weekends if I'm lucky I get to play a lot more than usual. |

In other words, you had too high expectations and were ruined for you and the way the game played was not to your liking. Very valid reasons to quit a subscription (not that you need me to afirm that). Not valid enough to pronounce doom and gloom on the future of AoC. Not just yet anyway. |

To AOCtester: Comparing AoC's launch to Vanguard's puts in serious jeopardly your own credibility I'm afraid. |

Originally posted by arctarus I would like to respectfully disagree with this bit. Fan sites moderators are very rarely professional due to being only losely affiliated with the company. They tend to either keep the forums very loosely moderated, or become the iron hand that deletes and bans any form of the slightest criticism. The later is the biggest problem and one of the reasons WAR should have it's own forums: Fan moderated forums can take the moderation too far. |

The traders/banks/mailing system (it's a one universal thing in AoC) was brought down and two fixes was applied. The first one that removed the exploit (but created another problem) took them 3 working days. The second one took them 1 extra day. If there is one thing that they do right, is fixing bugs fast. Very fast. |

I doubt Sony or anybody else will take over this game. So far the game seems to have retain its momentum, despite the problems. |

Actually MMOs can have graphics better than Oblivion, just take a look at LOTRO's directX10 engine (if you want a seamless world) or AoC's directX 9 (if you want a zoned world). It already happened and it'll only get better from here.

Notum wars used to have a pretty high head count. It used to be 200 people per quadrant of a zone before it was packed. Sometimes I wonder if some people actually played the games they claim they have experience with. This thread is unfortunately a troll bait, no matter how you try to sugar coat it. And no, past troll attempts on other forums does not justify future ones.
