There's a huge free trial area, and the game download is only something like 100mb. So you won't have to spend too much time trying it out.

Dofus is just pathetic, its a good idea but a Tactics MMORPG could be a hella of a lot better. I can't find anything either. If anyone knows of other Tactics MMORPGs please tell.

in case you don't know TB=turned based. So could please get a list of MMORPGS that are turned based?(try to list only free games). The only free one I know of is Wonderworld Online which looks bad simply cause it uses premade characters.

I remember a while back a new free mmorpg from Square Enix was announced, things have been pretty silent every since then, I can't even remember the name of it, does anyone have any new info, like a release date?

Cabal isn't really a chinesse mythology game, its futuristic and stuff, anyway I tried it but something turned me off. I think I'll check out Rohan or 9Dragons.

Expansive class system-3 or more starting classes, ability to job advance.

High appearance customization-please no games that have tons of clones, something where you can make your character look unique for free.

Free-Try your best to find something that doesn't have paying member benefits.

Games I've played are-WoKF, DOMO, and Perfect World.

That's a tough one.  First, "free" games will have item shops, and item shops generally mean people who pay get an advantage.  Up until recently, Maple Story was an exception in that paying money meant you had fashion options, then player stores which added convenience, and now 2x exp coupons which change the game entirely.

Random level-ups are all but impossible.  That creates innate disparity between characters, which would lead to continuous re-creation of characters to get perfect stats.  Not likely to happen.  Most go for "customizable" stats where you pump one or two stats only as necessary to hit enemies or use gear, then load all points into a primary stat for attacking power.  Pre-done stats usually lead to characters following one of a few builds in terms of skills.  The single best game I've seen with regards to stats is the old classic Ragnarok Online, where stats are player-distributed, but have several viable paths available to use certain classes for certain tasks.

High customization- If it has an item shop with fashion gear, that's where you get customization.  Otherwise, the options are usually limited except for some p2p games.

What you want sounds closest to Ragnarok Online.  Customization is surprisingly high with various hats, clothes dying, and a decent spread of character classes including stat/skill builds.  The official server isn't free though.

 

 

 I think I'll go back to RO, that game was awesome, just a question how would I access one of private servers. Sorry for being such a noob. Just wanna be 100% there is no other game like RO, ragnoraks so old I would think something would have a similar system. Also I like random level-ups cause I can resetting thats just stupid, I like it cause it adds a element of luck and unpredictablity, I can't imagine anyone resetting their character every level just to get the best stats, I mean it automatically saves over your character, you'd have to start from scratch.

Hi, I looking for somethings kind of hybird between a mmo and a classic rpg-

1.Random Level ups-Basically I want something where stats ar randomly distrubed, not by the player or pre-done methods.

2..High Customization-Ablity to pick from lots of classes, skills, and customizable appearance thats not so limited, also prefer to pick my class at the beginning of the game.

3.Free-this says it all, no special items for paying players, or payments to be made.

4.Anime Style- I want something animish or japanesse

Apart from those things it can be 2D, 3D, Turned-Based, or Free-Moving, and whatever factors in.

Oh and please no boring  Start-Up tutorials, I hate that stuff just looking for something thats more rpg than mmo

Edit-Doesn't have to have all 4 but 3 out of 4 would be nice, Also PVP is not an issue for me.

The first one looks stupid as hell & the second one isn't japanese-based at all, but thanx anyways.

Does anyone know of a good japanese mmorpg thats free to download & has no monthly subscription fee? I played maplestory but it seems quite weak for me.
