First of all not even in wow was there a best spec, there are better specs for what your playstyle is and thats it, the guy was asking about stats anyways and there is a dps form for a minstrel and by the way many did agree with me who play the game that are high leveled anyways.

That kind of attitude right there is what ruins most mmorpgs, go play city of heroes and tell them there is a best spec I garuntee you will be proven wrong. I am far from the problem, I was letting him know he could easily go with his playstyle. Best spec is just a mentality that people created in a mmorpg and believe to be true.

Well what i see has happened here is that this said person was asking what ppl thought was the best specs for his said class right? and then you replied by telling him to not listen to the others right? well i can see why they would get cranky but probably should have not been to the level you are saying.

So this is what i think happened,

Player ask for help on a certain spec to obviously Vets of the game and you turn around after being on a trial telling him to not listen to them when they replied, they get cranky (not that they know your on a trial) for they are being helpful and you are there telling them to more or less keep there opinions to them selves, i know you did not say this but you may as well have. The thing is the guy asked for help on specs so he wanted to listen to them so i am unsure as to why you felt the need as a trial member to tell him not to listen to them? Please don't think i am having a go at you but seriously he wanted help, he obviously got it and you told him to ignore it why would they not be pissed off i agree that it could of been handled better but even as you say there is not a best spec you will still get arguments in any game including CoH e.t.c  of what certain ppl think is the best spec for that certain class and i know it comes down to play-style but some ppl don't have a play-style, some ppl just play the game as a game and don't take it too seriously

Play-style are a thing you develop not something that just happens naturally well not a good one anyways and i know this as i have learnt from a lot of Vets throughout many a MMO on the market. I

Makes perfect sense imagine how many ppl are gonna log in on Sunday at least this way there wont be so much lag in the noobie area's as most of us will be leaps and bounds ahead of those that have to wait :)

Because you spend so much time on the ground foraging, fighting and just trying find your way safely around the place that there is no time for jumping just time for exploring, surviving and having a bloody great time. :)

I dabbled in a few games such as EQ,  DAoC, WoW, but the only true MMO which i class as my first due to a long stay was FFXI, still love that game by the way and have since spent a bit more time on the earlier titles i have tried, i guess when i tried them i truly did not understand how the whole MMO thing played out.

FFXI  taught me the base mechanics of an Online game and i have not looked back since.

Yes i would and am currently playing a sandbox and will continue to play it un till it dissapears from the face of this planet, I love MMO's in general but only just realized not so long ago the it is Sandbox that i have been searching for. The best part about a Sandbox MMO is besides the freedom is the Community you know that at least 90 % of the ppl playing are there because that is the type of game that want to play thus for making a community that has the same interest in mind. Nothing worse than going into an mmo and getting chat channel spam;s of how it is just like WoW e.t.c.

I think the only 4 MMO's on my mind that are not Sandbox atm are AION, LoTRO, WAR,  Runes of Magic.

Well i have Characters on 3 different servers Nimrodel( my first server) Landroval for RP nd Brandywine my latest server and it is by far the Busiest server to me and in that i mean i never have trouble picking up a group at all times where as the Nimrodel server i could not find huge amounts of players on during the night (Australian time) but found a fair few during the day, brandywine on the other hand had a good influx of players on at all times, the Summer festival was fun especially trying to get your Festival Mount had to line up for a race lol was fun just to see ppl lining up in a game to do a mini Race.

Yes there is plenty of Group based content in this game especially the book (story line) quest the first few book quest are not too hard if you know how they work but they get very pty based later on, im not sure what server you have rolled on but i would recommend Brandywine for a mix of player styles RP e.t.c or Landroval for RP specifically. The first 5-6 levels is more or so the Tutorial for me, i mean ok you get the intro part  but dont leave to the main game world till lvl 5-6 there is tonnes of content in this game you may hear different but just remember if you roll a human you dont have to just stay in the Human area there are more quest than you can honestly keep up with and the Pty based quest are just plain fun to play.

I just not long ago rolled a LM and am currently at lvl 29 i think and i agree i am truly enjoying the LM much better than my pimped out Guard and Champ. This game is Directed at the Casual Gamer IMO but can offer some challenging instances, most HC players have tried this and been dissapointed and im not sure what they were expecting from a game released well under 2 years ago ( not sure exactly  when it was released lol i was there for it but am not that fussed about start dates lol)

This game has a lot  going for it and has had many Content updates for free and soon will have the Mines op Moria Expansion Released so you may very well be getting involved at the right time.

I just found out in WAR you lvl up to 40 in pve then start going up 80 lvls in PVP

pve = 40 lvls

PVP = 80 lvls

= 120 lvl.

come on.. what were they thinking.. I would much rather have the WoW system where I get tickets for cool items rather then xp and lvls. What happens if I want to pvp and I am lvl 4 and some lvl 80 jackass finds me? :/ At least with tickets I have a fair chance still and wont get completely owned.

In any case I think this is going to hurt WAR heavily. Who the hell wants to get PVP xp and lvls? PvP should simply be for a quick meaningless battle. Keep it to the PVE raids to have purpose...

IMO i found the Open RVR in WAR the best part of the game i sat there for hours and had a blast so no biggie for me :)

There are like 4-5 more new instances most of which have recycled monster models with new colors.

Naxx is recycled again so i get to play 2 year old content again...

Tradeskills are still  a joke, and without raiding mats u cant only craft stupid useless stuff.

Few more BG's... shouldnt we have more than 4 in 4 years. And forget BG's everyone will form an arena team and afk out to get their free arena gear... play a rogue/druid or warrior/druid anything with druid and win...

 

I was very hyped after seeing the cinematic but i am not going to pay for the content which should be free after 4 years. I will try WAR for a while, even if it sucks at least i will be fighting against new character models...

 

Beast boss in UBRS model = Chromaggus in BWL lair = Demons in Area 51 = Trash mobs in WOTLK instances... recycle more???

 

Looks like a hater to me or maybe just a a WAR fanboy all disguised and waiting for others to jump in. I think WOTLK looks pretty sweet especially enviroment wise.

lets go throught the arguments shall we?

1. Adding one new class is a big deal when the classes are setup the way they are in wow with lots of wiggle room and more thant 3 diffenrent playstyles in each one. Also blizzard is trying to keep a strong pve balance and a new class is hard to implemtn when the other classes already pretty much cover all the bases.

2. There are alot more than 5 new instances lol you are so silly i actually laughed out loud.

3. Most people didn't get to play Naxx last time around and i for one would really like to see it. Plus it fits the story better this time around.

4. So, you think raiders shouldn't be rewarded for putting in more time an effort, its more than fair they get there own patterns and mats that they can build better gear with. Don't be a raider hater.

5. This may be your only close to fair point, but with rating restrictions alot of the high end gear is not availible to the afkers in arena, (why would you afk in arena when you lose you get less points every week, i don't think you know how arenas work.) Also i have never ran into an afking arena team.

6.Why should it be free EVerquest isn't even free, go go troll hater. I have seen lots of new models btw in screens and videos so your actually quite wrong on this.

7. Why not use the model again its pretty boss looking if you ask me.

Honestly that is the best i could come up with :)

Good post nice to see some 1 out there can give a review with negative aspects but are honest one's not something that is just not worth mentioning.

The reason a lot of us love this game is that it is not your typical scenario where the world is at war for 1 reason or another it is just a World that we get to live in and do as we please basically. I know over the last few days we have had some blow ins that were just there deliberately trolling the chat channels and being complete ass hats so this may be what you have encountered in my experience in this game ppl love helping and love being involved in what it is you do. There was one person yesterday that litterally sat there just answering Questions for the newbies ( and i might add there is a healthy stream of them coming in). The best thing about this game is that it is up to you what you do with your Time in Atys and to me that is an absolute blessing, no more feeling like im in Competition with fellow gamers just a mere feeling like i am part of the World just like the creatures that roam it.

Yeah, everyone seems to think that every company is actually out to steal their money, and not let the people have as much fun as possible. I have quite honestly had more fun playing on the preview weekend for a couple of hours than I have in any game so far. So, for me to say that is something for me. I only had it crash on me once, and it was about time I took a break anyways. I had played all night and needed to take a nap for work later that day =x.

The main reason ppl are upset with this title is because it is gonna be a success and they cant fathom that it will be, i really enjoyed myself as well suprisingly and am gonna keep playing till AION arrives.

All the Naysayers can get off the band wagon now and come Join the WAR wagon cause it is heading for a major uproar and your gonna miss it if you don't act now.

Yeah i have played that game b4.... the shaking infants one.. is great but i would recommend doing it when they dont have a tummy full of food..can end up quite messy :)

To me a Sandbox MMO is a game that is not setting your Destiny for you it is a game that is played out the way you want it to be played out, so basically you do as you want to do.

Well to be honest i am actually impressed with how this game has turned out, i am in no way a fan boy if ya wanna call me a fanboy to anything check my Xfire sig and my main sig for reference.

The game's bugs are no way going to let this game down in any way a few minor issues and thats it, the issues that has been spoken off will be fixed and we all know that just a matter of when. This game is probably the most fun i have had in the last 12 months since LoTRO released well especially the RVR i absolutely loved it and i am in no means a PVP freak i actually hated it before i played this game. i spent 6 hours today just roaming that same area pulling Warbands together to hold this one area from the Order and had an absolute blast. I had some high hopes for AoC when i played it but by far would choose this game over that with a heartbeat. this game is gonna do me until Aion and maybe even after i have burnt my self out From Aion.

The only advice i would say to any 1 wanting try this game and i know it get's spread around alot is to try this game for yourself and dont listen to any negative feedback as it is now that the Naysayers are gonna try and push ppl away as it is so close to release, i'm not saying to totally ignore them but don't not try this game because of a negative post this is one game i would recommend to definately try out.
